The only thing that hurts me more than seeing a team of 109's not climbing, is a 4 plane group of 109's diving for the first ground attacker they see. Don't be these guys. Keep climbing.
I once had a battle where five of my mates followed a lone bomber. The bomber bombed one of three bases and he kept flying a straight line to our airfield, I think because he operated his rear gunners. Alle five fighter mates followed him to our airfield until they shot him down. I was like the only fighter of our team at about 4000 m or 5000 m altitude, close to the middle of the map and these five mates were about 6000 or more metres away from me. The end of that story is that I got gang banged by P-51s and Spitfires and my team got wracked, because the enemies where like in space as these five fighters came back to the “fighting zone”.
My friend thinks "high altitude" is anything above 2km. He goes for the first thing seen, chases bombers like their cat nip and he's a cat, and most recently said "It's heavier, it should go faster!" This is after *years* of playing War Thunder.
Tip: go to customization and put the speed of climb in your plane, example: the 109K climbs at 280kph so you put 28 in a wing so always rememeber it XD
I used to hate Bf-109s and Fw-190s. I focused on the German tech tree and saw them as sluggish and under armed (excluding 30mm). I used to fear Spitfires, but then, while I was playing the Fw-190 A-8, I had an epiphany. I learned how to fly the Fw-190 and, by proxy, the Bf-109. I no longer fear Spitfires, Spitfires fear me.

Because gaijin doesnt know how to moddel drag properly and because in WT every fighter is forced into a short range interceptor roll which is exactly what the BF 109 was designed for. The long range of U.S. fighter is not only completely irrelevant but it is actualy a disadvantage because U.S. fighters usualy get ~ 30 minutes of minimum fuel. Gaijin totaly not at all defenetly doesnt have a german bias.
There are 3 things commonly occuring to me whenever I fly the K4: 1. I get mauled by no less of 3 fighters just slightly higher than me because I was the only one who isn't flying at ground level or herd chasing a ground pounder. 2. I manage to take down multiple bombers by doing a death climb, inherently pissing of the player. 3. I get a couple of good kills, but my engine gets fucked by the time i end my last dogfight, forcing me to rtb and having the match end just as I take off. No 1. is the most likely

Same here, I get three on a good day then die, on any other day I get one or two, and maybe survive unless I did something stupid like play in the G6 and somehow end up with a P-51D-30 at least 500 meters above me despite being at 6000-7000 meters high and get killed in half a burst because this thing climbs and maneuvers like shit compared to its younger brothers the G2 and F4, incase you haven't noticed I hate the G6 with a passion. Or I just get pilot sniped the moment a P-38 opens fire from 1.5 kilometers away, or all my vital modules get shot out with pinpoint accuracy by a bomber gunner from 2km away

Now, the MG151s are the second best cannons in game and the K-4 has no compression. Spitfires also have nerfed energy retention and shvaks and hispanos suck.
Now German MG151 with 20mm minengeschob (apologies to all Germans for that spelling) shells reign supreme... unless you choose to challenge the Swedish 13.2mm

Man i am finally, FINALLY getting the hang of the 109, it's been taking me so long to figure out how to actually "energy fight" and basically how to be effective in this thing in general, and apparently its pretty simple...on the surface at least. It's a Jack of all trades, ace of none. To bypass this You (or at least I) basically play to my strengths while simultaneously playing to an enemy's weakness, and avoiding locking myself a fight where they have the advantage. my engagements always start with a boom and zoom, if I succeed then nice, I get back to altitude, but if I fail, I need to decide how to proceed, against turn fighters I just zoom upwards and away, I'm not getting stuck in a turn fight. Against boom and zoomers I try to lock them in a turnfight since they're not exactly maneuverable, at least compared to my 109's. But if they just came out of a dive and start running away, I'm not gonna bother if they manage to put distance between us, I'm not catching it anytime soon. And against energy fighters like myself I just boom and zoom, and zoom back up to maintain energy advantage. For some examples, here they are: Against a spitfire, I boom and zoom, if I fail, I go back up to try again cuz it will demolish me if I stay low and lock myself in a turn fight, and I repeat until I either kill it, it kills itself, or a teammate kills it since nothing keeps up with a climbing 109 with a shit ton of energy stored, unless it's a climbing 109 with a shit ton of energy stored. Against a P-47 or 51 (or some other boom and zoom aircraft) I generally annihilate these things pretty easy, once they lose their energy (which, they literally always do for some reason) by turning and turn fighting at low alt instead of climbing the moment they finish their dive, they're easy pickings, lock them in a turnfight and you'll get them eventually since they can't turn as well as say a spitfire, but if you get a boom and zoomer mid dive, chances are they panic and try to run away, don't chase them they will out run you with energy retention, if they zoom upwards, then you want to bait them down, or try to run if you can, or bait them to your team, They will kill you. And against another energy fighter like a BF 109, or one of the Swedish rank 2+ fighters it depends on their energy state, because you need an energy advantage to win. if they've just come out of a dive when you shoot them, you need to retreat up immediately and see what they do next, if they stay low and waste energy, boom and zoom, then turnfight (turn fighting is optional, you can just repeatedly boom and zoom if you want, it's a safer option if you ask me) I do this against Mustangs and J21A's frequently. Same thing if their low to begin with and have been burning energy, just attack them in a straightforward manner, no need to retreat and watch them since an energy fighter without energy is just a helpless moving target, so long as you don't get in front of it. Be Careful of F-82 Laser Pointers in partucular though, most of their pilots are smart and never go down low, and if you get in front of it the six .50 cals will shred you, and if it has the gunpod, it will be a laser beam that will just evaporate you and split your atoms Hope this helped, I dont want anyone to go through the nightmare i went through when playing BF 109 and not knowing shit about using it Note: do NOT, be below anything, in any energy fighter, you will die

How to play K-4: Step 1: Bring gunpods so you have 3x MG 151/20. Load IAI/Stealth for MG 131 and Air Targets/Stealth for MG 151/20. Convergence is not important especially if you dont use gunpods. I absolutely adore 109s. German teams are so good, whereas allied teams seem to think they're flying lawn mowers. You just space climb in ur 109 and dunk on the silly idiots
I can see why the easiest aircraft in the game can be appealing to some, but I’ve recently been getting Reported for “cheating” or being “toxic” by axis players for simply flying my plane correctly and successfully against them. US fighters perform best at an altitude that axis Always outpaces them to. 109’s are phenomenal interceptors while the usual American riff raff like P51’s are designed for extremely high altitude long range bomber escort which is utterly useless in WT. What I’m saying is that US typically climbs too slow and gets seal clubbed by 109 and 152 swarms. The only real struggle axis teams face is whether they can get a kill before the G56’s and Re.2005’s steal them. To the allies, it’s if they’ll live long enough to get a kill. The 4.7 - 5.7 BR range has been an absolutely miserable experience for me since I started grinding the US fighter tree. Learning to play when I was bad at the game on USA was a horrible mistake in hindsight. I wish I could say I enjoyed the game, but I can’t remember the last match I had that wasn’t “side climb to 4K meters and still get stopped by a sea of 109’s with seemingly limitless energy”
For me I just made it to Allied jets and never went back. Since American planes are heavier than their German counterparts it’s basically impossible you will even climb close to their height so I basically GE’d my way through 6.0 because I just got sick of it. I used to play Germany but I got tired since it is brain dead easy.
Even Franz Stigler who was a BF-109 pilot said that is was a fighter made to dive on the enemy before they notice you. He also said that the turning speed compared to other planes in combat was slower. Only reason I dive on enemies whilst in the BF-109 is because of Stigler.
I play sim battles only and the 30mm canon is very good but . . . you must learn how to use it. There's no spray and pray with it. Short burst at the best time be patient as they will falter. Turning battles are good but you must use the rudder only and the ailerons to adjust the angle, DO NOT PULL BACK ON THE STICK it will suck all the speed out. Using the rudder will not bleed air speed to much works awesome. Climbs are ok when not on sim as you can see friendlys from foe but in sim I've learnt that staying low at tree top at 100% throttle and circling around the edges of the main battle zone. When you see you're target as most players stay at 500m too 1000m close in at full speed under them, pull up using the energy and either get them on the climb or directly behind short to mid burst with the 30's a few hits and there toast. If you miss dive to tree level and repeat. They will panic looking for you but you're at tree level watching them. Always always look back always as some players are good. Minimum fuel as the 30's aren't plentiful so light fuel = faster BF. One more tip, when taking off mid battle before you get to the end of the runway turn 180° and fly fast and low away from the feild, you will avoid getting jumped and mostly they will lose you, they won't expect it.

Never turn against the spitfire and Japanese planes. Climb and launch suprise attacks against slow targets Always use stealth rounds for machine guns and air targets for cannons
Your scripts are geting a bit repetitive, watch out for that. Plus, there are some important differences between the models and br ranges. Those affect the way you play significantly.
- WT 109s Guide G10 G14 G6 K4 disciplined climb to 5/6 km minimum followed by disciplined bnz and turn fighting only when at an energy advantage. These are not the most forgiving planes and for an undisciplined/inexperienced player can be difficult to use.( For all 109s flap usage is very important as flaps are very slow to open/close and needs to be practiced/learned ) Attack runs and consequent zooming or extending away needs to be planned ahead of time or you're gonna have trouble. F4 G2 and below are very different, disciplined climb to 4/5/6km then you can bnz, you can turn fight and energy fight, as well as stall fight. I've beaten Spitfire MKIX's in vertical stall fights in the F4. And I've beaten P59as in vertical stall fights in the G2. Long story short, for more casual, forgiving gameplay use the 109s up to the G2. To be successful in the G6 and onwards you need to play strategically, carefully, with discipline, with thought out attacks, zooms and maneuvers. Edit here's some more info F4 lightest and most maneuverable of the list best performance at low to mid alt up to 5.5km after that power loss G2 second lightest 109 of the list worse low alt performance than F4 but better at higher alts, best performance from 3km to 6.5km after that power loss G6 best WEP of 4.0 to 4.7 109s, worst high G maneuverability of the list, best performance up to 5.5km after that power loss G14 best MER of the 109s best performance at low to mid alts up to 6km after that power loss G10 best high alt performance of the list, great climb rate up to 7km + you can climb at the same degrees that you would at lower alts, up high K4 best speed and acceleration of the list, worst low speed maneuverability, best performance up to 6.5km after that power loss, after 6.2km can WEP without overheating engine.
You need a guide for the bf109? It can already do anything! I did really appreciate that you said that you can turn-fight if you make sure the skies are clear, since many guides say not to turn fight at all. But the Me is very lightweight and with its power/weight ratio and flaps/slats its actually better than a lot of planes at turning.
IAS + TAS is better than just IAS, so you know your true speed at altitude, and the air under your wings to know if you are at climb speed. But TAS is important to know if your enemies speed range is close to yours at that alt, and to see if you are able to outrun them or not/know when to energy fight them at critical alt (very important knowledge to know with p47s, and Ta 152H at 7-9km).
when ever I play in a bf 109 I would always gravitate to destroying other bf 109s, idk if it was because I knew they posed a threat, or if I simply wanted to test my skill, but it certainly helped shape my flying skills. My favorite targets of all though, are planes that should for all intents and purposes climb like their lives depend on it dont, rather they immediately dive at spawn and reach the middle by them selves, easy pickings.

I generally enjoy fighting Germany when I play Brits. The Griffon Spitfire lets me fight on even terms with them, while keeping a turning edge. It's a shame that I have to fight 3 of them at once, and a TA, because all my allies decided to lawn mow.

I dont play planes often, but I stopped at either the g-2 or g-6. And even fully upgraded I always found myself being outclimbed by American planes. I always played realistic not arcade or Sim. I didnt know you could measure speed differently, I always had it on deafult, but I usually climbed at like 20 degrees , or whatever degree made it so I wasnt gaining or losing speed.

Ngl Bf 109E is a literal tank i went afk to get food coz i was hungry and after 10 mins when i came back the Bf109E was literally crited in 10 different places, damaged flaps, injured pilot and a leaking fuel tank but it was still flying in a perfectly straight line tho a bit tilted (truely a chad these Bf 109s)

Same here, I get three on a good day then die, on any other day I get one or two, and maybe survive unless I did something stupid like play in the G6 and somehow end up with a P-51D-30 at least 500 meters above me despite being at 6000-7000 meters high and get killed in half a burst because this thing climbs and maneuvers like shit compared to its younger brothers the G2 and F4, incase you haven't noticed I hate the G6 with a passion.
Or I just get pilot sniped the moment a P-38 opens fire from 1.5 kilometers away, or all my vital modules get shot out with pinpoint accuracy by a bomber gunner from 2km away

Now, the MG151s are the second best cannons in game and the K-4 has no compression. Spitfires also have nerfed energy retention and shvaks and hispanos suck.

Man i am finally, FINALLY getting the hang of the 109, it's been taking me so long to figure out how to actually "energy fight" and basically how to be effective in this thing in general, and apparently its pretty simple...on the surface at least. It's a Jack of all trades, ace of none. To bypass this You (or at least I) basically play to my strengths while simultaneously playing to an enemy's weakness, and avoiding locking myself a fight where they have the advantage. my engagements always start with a boom and zoom, if I succeed then nice, I get back to altitude, but if I fail, I need to decide how to proceed, against turn fighters I just zoom upwards and away, I'm not getting stuck in a turn fight. Against boom and zoomers I try to lock them in a turnfight since they're not exactly maneuverable, at least compared to my 109's. But if they just came out of a dive and start running away, I'm not gonna bother if they manage to put distance between us, I'm not catching it anytime soon. And against energy fighters like myself I just boom and zoom, and zoom back up to maintain energy advantage. For some examples, here they are:
Against a spitfire, I boom and zoom, if I fail, I go back up to try again cuz it will demolish me if I stay low and lock myself in a turn fight, and I repeat until I either kill it, it kills itself, or a teammate kills it since nothing keeps up with a climbing 109 with a shit ton of energy stored, unless it's a climbing 109 with a shit ton of energy stored.
Against a P-47 or 51 (or some other boom and zoom aircraft) I generally annihilate these things pretty easy, once they lose their energy (which, they literally always do for some reason) by turning and turn fighting at low alt instead of climbing the moment they finish their dive, they're easy pickings, lock them in a turnfight and you'll get them eventually since they can't turn as well as say a spitfire, but if you get a boom and zoomer mid dive, chances are they panic and try to run away, don't chase them they will out run you with energy retention, if they zoom upwards, then you want to bait them down, or try to run if you can, or bait them to your team, They will kill you.
And against another energy fighter like a BF 109, or one of the Swedish rank 2+ fighters it depends on their energy state, because you need an energy advantage to win. if they've just come out of a dive when you shoot them, you need to retreat up immediately and see what they do next, if they stay low and waste energy, boom and zoom, then turnfight (turn fighting is optional, you can just repeatedly boom and zoom if you want, it's a safer option if you ask me) I do this against Mustangs and J21A's frequently. Same thing if their low to begin with and have been burning energy, just attack them in a straightforward manner, no need to retreat and watch them since an energy fighter without energy is just a helpless moving target, so long as you don't get in front of it. Be Careful of F-82 Laser Pointers in partucular though, most of their pilots are smart and never go down low, and if you get in front of it the six .50 cals will shred you, and if it has the gunpod, it will be a laser beam that will just evaporate you and split your atoms

How to play K-4:
Step 1: Bring gunpods so you have 3x MG 151/20. Load IAI/Stealth for MG 131 and Air Targets/Stealth for MG 151/20. Convergence is not important especially if you dont use gunpods. I personally use 600m.
Step 2: Climb to >5km (about 16500 ft) while maintaining 280 km/h. Sideclimb if necessary. After climbing is done, gain speed until >350 km/h
Step 3: Avoid Spits, 51H, and Japanese planes. NEVER go for bombers or attackers
Step 4: Find the highest flying enemy aircraft (but still below you) and kill him
Step 5: Work your way down and engage enemy fighters or turn away and regain the altitude you lost
Step 6: Dont forget to use combat flaps when turning or going vertical (make sure speed is

I can see why the easiest aircraft in the game can be appealing to some, but I’ve recently been getting Reported for “cheating” or being “toxic” by axis players for simply flying my plane correctly and successfully against them. US fighters perform best at an altitude that axis Always outpaces them to. 109’s are phenomenal interceptors while the usual American riff raff like P51’s are designed for extremely high altitude long range bomber escort which is utterly useless in WT.
What I’m saying is that US typically climbs too slow and gets seal clubbed by 109 and 152 swarms. The only real struggle axis teams face is whether they can get a kill before the G56’s and Re.2005’s steal them. To the allies, it’s if they’ll live long enough to get a kill.
The 4.7 - 5.7 BR range has been an absolutely miserable experience for me since I started grinding the US fighter tree. Learning to play when I was bad at the game on USA was a horrible mistake in hindsight. I wish I could say I enjoyed the game, but I can’t remember the last match I had that wasn’t “side climb to 4K meters and still get stopped by a sea of 109’s with seemingly limitless energy”
For me I just made it to Allied jets and never went back. Since American planes are heavier than their German counterparts it’s basically impossible you will even climb close to their height so I basically GE’d my way through 6.0 because I just got sick of it. I used to play Germany but I got tired since it is brain dead easy.

Even Franz Stigler who was a BF-109 pilot said that is was a fighter made to dive on the enemy before they notice you. He also said that the turning speed compared to other planes in combat was slower. Only reason I dive on enemies whilst in the BF-109 is because of Stigler.

I play sim battles only and the 30mm canon is very good but . . . you must learn how to use it. There's no spray and pray with it. Short burst at the best time be patient as they will falter. Turning battles are good but you must use the rudder only and the ailerons to adjust the angle, DO NOT PULL BACK ON THE STICK it will suck all the speed out. Using the rudder will not bleed air speed to much works awesome.
Climbs are ok when not on sim as you can see friendlys from foe but in sim I've learnt that staying low at tree top at 100% throttle and circling around the edges of the main battle zone. When you see you're target as most players stay at 500m too 1000m close in at full speed under them, pull up using the energy and either get them on the climb or directly behind short to mid burst with the 30's a few hits and there toast. If you miss dive to tree level and repeat. They will panic looking for you but you're at tree level watching them. Always always look back always as some players are good.
Minimum fuel as the 30's aren't plentiful so light fuel = faster BF.
One more tip, when taking off mid battle before you get to the end of the runway turn 180° and fly fast and low away from the feild, you will avoid getting jumped and mostly they will lose you, they won't expect it.

Never turn against the spitfire and Japanese planes. Climb and launch suprise attacks against slow targets
Always use stealth rounds for machine guns and air targets for cannons
Your scripts are geting a bit repetitive, watch out for that. Plus, there are some important differences between the models and br ranges. Those affect the way you play significantly.

G10 G14 G6 K4 disciplined climb to 5/6 km minimum followed by disciplined bnz and turn fighting only when at an energy advantage. These are not the most forgiving planes and for an undisciplined/inexperienced player can be difficult to use.( For all 109s flap usage is very important as flaps are very slow to open/close and needs to be practiced/learned ) Attack runs and consequent zooming or extending away needs to be planned ahead of time or you're gonna have trouble. F4 G2 and below are very different, disciplined climb to 4/5/6km then you can bnz, you can turn fight and energy fight, as well as stall fight. I've beaten Spitfire MKIX's in vertical stall fights in the F4. And I've beaten P59as in vertical stall fights in the G2. Long story short, for more casual, forgiving gameplay use the 109s up to the G2. To be successful in the G6 and onwards you need to play strategically, carefully, with discipline, with thought out attacks, zooms and maneuvers.

F4 lightest and most maneuverable of the list best performance at low to mid alt up to 5.5km after that power loss
G2 second lightest 109 of the list worse low alt performance than F4 but better at higher alts, best performance from 3km to 6.5km after that power loss
G6 best WEP of 4.0 to 4.7 109s, worst high G maneuverability of the list, best performance up to 5.5km after that power loss
G14 best MER of the 109s best performance at low to mid alts up to 6km after that power loss
G10 best high alt performance of the list, great climb rate up to 7km + you can climb at the same degrees that you would at lower alts, up high
K4 best speed and acceleration of the list, worst low speed maneuverability, best performance up to 6.5km after that power loss, after 6.2km can WEP without overheating engine.

I did really appreciate that you said that you can turn-fight if you make sure the skies are clear, since many guides say not to turn fight at all. But the Me is very lightweight and with its power/weight ratio and flaps/slats its actually better than a lot of planes at turning.
IAS + TAS is better than just IAS, so you know your true speed at altitude, and the air under your wings to know if you are at climb speed. But TAS is important to know if your enemies speed range is close to yours at that alt, and to see if you are able to outrun them or not/know when to energy fight them at critical alt (very important knowledge to know with p47s, and Ta 152H at 7-9km).

when ever I play in a bf 109 I would always gravitate to destroying other bf 109s, idk if it was because I knew they posed a threat, or if I simply wanted to test my skill, but it certainly helped shape my flying skills. My favorite targets of all though, are planes that should for all intents and purposes climb like their lives depend on it dont, rather they immediately dive at spawn and reach the middle by them selves, easy pickings.

Just got killed at 6k by Spitfire during climb, amazing dude, what a great plane this bf, let me tell you. Whoooooah, i just puked all over keyboard, it is so fun to climb for 3 minutes and then being brrrrt'ed by spits at moon altitude, wooow, such a great advices dude. The plane is garbage - it is always outclimbed, and outgunned by Spits, and if you manage to retain alt, all your allies are being killed/scoring frags at medium alt.

I generally enjoy fighting Germany when I play Brits.
The Griffon Spitfire lets me fight on even terms with them, while keeping a turning edge.
It's a shame that I have to fight 3 of them at once, and a TA, because all my allies decided to lawn mow.

fw only does 2 things well, roll and firepower

I dont play planes often, but I stopped at either the g-2 or g-6. And even fully upgraded I always found myself being outclimbed by American planes. I always played realistic not arcade or Sim. I didnt know you could measure speed differently, I always had it on deafult, but I usually climbed at like 20 degrees , or whatever degree made it so I wasnt gaining or losing speed.

Ngl Bf 109E is a literal tank i went afk to get food coz i was hungry and after 10 mins when i came back the Bf109E was literally crited in 10 different places, damaged flaps, injured pilot and a leaking fuel tank but it was still flying in a perfectly straight line tho a bit tilted (truely a chad these Bf 109s)
