Relative Compression Test Using A PicoScope 2204A Voltage Vs Amperage

- Usually a relative compression test is done using an amperage clamp, however one can also do one just measuring voltage at the battery. I do a comparison between the voltage and amperage methods, and also show how to use active lowpass filtering to clean up the signal when using a cheaper PicoScope like the 2204A which normally doesn't support that feature.

Helped me a lot with the low pass filter hack. Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Well demonstrated. Nice work around on the filtering. Thx & Cheers 👍
Sir, your video was awesome, thank u for the class with the 2204a
Good to see your still alive Bob. It's been awhile.
Yeah, haven't been working on cars as much as I used to. But been getting around. Went to Cyprus, Italy, Hong Kong, China and Oklahoma in the past two years. Bought a beat up old Fiat Ducato that I've been repairing to convert it into an off grid camper, and helping the occasional neighbor with their car troubles. What's up with you?
Thankyou it was a great help
😊
thank for video
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it. :-)
good
After practice, what is better, pico2204 or Hantek
They're different. Hantek has better verticle resolution of 12 bits versus pico 8 bits, but you can't record or playback waveforms on the hantek, it also has no filtering options. In general pico is probably the better choice I would say.
