Tools, supplies, lures, art.. anything!
If you made it with your hands, and it's okay with you, I'd like to show your work and shout you out in a video too.
I feel like he is the bob Ross of lure making
Happy little stripes.
Picasso
Happy little bluegill
Remember you can turn anything into a mountain yes even a fish
We’ll just put a happy little treble hook right here... itll be our little secret
I love how he refers to the camera as “you guys” in his videos. Makes it sound like we’re always with him; trapped in a tiny camera and forced to watch him making baits
i may be trapped, but im not complaining!
Rex Mini took a much less wholesome turn towards the end but I don’t mind.
How do you know we aren't?
Justin Hopkins oh noo
@@leetlebob8203 what a bummer
That little bent file got my attention. I love having just-the-right-tool, even if I have to dream up a project for using it. File on my brother!
Excellent. Catch and cook when we were kids was always good fun. Remember catching grayling and wrapping them in mud and baking them in a fire by the river. Thank you. UK.
"oh, this is a pregnant one" *YEET*
chucspe that funny
“Lets save the fish, YEET into a rock”
He NeEdS HiS bAkInG sOdA!!!
@@nitrusdestroyer4455 I knew this was a joke but it made me anxious so I had to rewatch.
Why is watching this so relaxing to watch.....thanks for bringing some normalcy into my house during this time of the plandemic.
You've gotten a lot better at infusing comedy into these videos. On a side note, it would be cool to see some more of your high-detail lures that you used to make.
Always cook fish skin side down first, stops it shrivelling up ;)
That is not the reason it shriveled. It was too fresh and still in rigor mortis, that was the problem.
I LOVE THOS AKWARD ZOOM INS😂😂😂😂keep up the great vids
Awesome video man love your videos try making my own lures sometimes because of you
Same
hi bass
Huntin fishin Hub yessir!
Luke outdoors what’s up man!!
Good job. I have enjoyed being subscribed to your channel for months now. Always gives me warm fuzzys watching you make your lures and baits 😊😊😊
this is incredible. this is why we love your content. congrats on 200k, you deserve even more.
After these comments, your next catch and cook oughta be amazing. Also, just wanted to say I love the channel. Just found it last night at work and I've lost so much sleep and time now. Keep it up, man. I love watching a master craftsman at his trade.
For the future if you ever wanna do this again I would recommend to you filiting the fish on the bank if you do it right you don't even need to gut it and skinning the fillet then at home fill a bowl with flour and salt/pepper dipping the filets in that heating a pan once hot add oil and fillets takes 5 minutes and tastes great
Hows a ladybug lure sound or have you already done that
Also congrats on 200k
I could watch your videos all day
I couldnt wipe my smile off at the action it had when you tested it!
you gotta cook it like 90 percent on the skin side then you flip for a minute or two but trout you usually remove the head and the insides and dont nned to go further than that they fall off the bone and skin is easily removed. love the videos!
"We're gonna paper & bic it"
Same asf man
That was amazing. I've always wanted to know how to make fish bacon! Love your lures and fishing vids.
Great video, I think the cooking part was the best. That was hilarious.
been with you for a while its cool to see how far you've come keep up the grind your awesome
this is your most impressive work haha this was legit amazing . that clear coat came out super clean!
Love this video. Would really like to see the same idea attempted using only supplies found in your tackle bag and EDC/knife. i.e. "What if I'm camping and don't have/lost my lure(s)?" The idea of grabbing a chunk of wood and making a reasonable lure from it is really enticing. It's conceivable that someone could have some basic supplies for just such an occasion in their tackle (2 part epoxy plunger or tiny super glue unopened from dollar store?)... but a japanese saw? nuh-uh.
Also... Sawdust instead of sand. C'mon. ;)
New to the Channel and love your work. I hope you grabbed a bit more of that bark for use in your shop. With the original, unfinished bait being orange and catching fish I was surprised you didn't put any orange on the final finish, not that it mattered. I know you had limited supplies....
Great work.
Congrats man ! Been watching for a couple years now. You do good work. Thanks for sharing!
Imagine being this skilled at something.
I was in wood shop today and my teacher said make whatever you want and I made fishing lures
Liar prove it😂😂😂
@@alucardhellsing1037 How the hell is he supposed to prove it?
So what your saying is you did a one day.... Nice..👍👍😜
Cameron when you crack a fish with it post it on FB or Instagram...share in the comments... 👍
Alucard Hellsing ok
Tim Benedict I made 3 baits.
you make me want to come to Iowa to catch trout and make baits!
I know this is an old video at this point, but the way I've always deboned a trout is to literally cook the whole fish. I mean you still clean the guts out, remove the head and fins and stuff. Then just cook the body intact. Then after it's cooked and before eating, just poke a fork at the base of the tail between the meat and the bone and just slowly peel them apart and they all come out whole. Always worked for me on rainbow trout, anyways. Comes out super smooth and clean.
I'll tell ya, some folks may not agree but in my opinion (if prepared properly) you take bass, large or small mouth, I actually prefer small. (Even my wife who hates fishy fish, most fish in general, and she loves them)... bleed them out first after catching( that is very important), scale, filet, cut out the dark pink line. Put in salt water for a rinse, pat dry bread it, deep fry it and buddy they are delicious! Tastes like crappie! It's good white (after bleeding it out) flaky meat and less boney then trout, like no pin bones.. I eat all types of fish so I'm not being bias or whatever n definitely get down on some trout but just making a suggestion that it is worth trying if you never ate it. Thanks for the video. that was extremely impressive especially on the fly like that. You're definitely one creative fella. Just subbed and again thank you!
A little advice is to use lemon pepper with a splash of lemon juice next time you catch and cook a trout
HOLY MOSES THAT'S A LOT OF BUTTER!
I know this may be wierd but from one iowan to another try making the beer bottle cap lure I enjoy using it you might aswell but great video thank you for entertaining us keep up the great work
“Not to shabby” I would say AMAZING!!
Looks better than my first time cooking a fish. My filets were ragged lol
Funny ,creative and realistic
Dude you have compelled me to go make my own smallie river rocker. Gonna be sweet.
Love the video as usual! Great and wholesome content
The first rapala wobbler was made out of bark, pine i think. So it would work, just belive!
You deserve MILLIONS dude... you're like Bobby Duke but a lil funnier and fishing
All you need is salt...
To cook this awesome trout...
All you need is salt...salt...salt...
Salt is all you need))
If you’re confused about the color, it’s because when you cook with butter you start at a low temperature so it doesn’t burn. After the butter melts, you put the fish in then bring the temperature up. Butter burns extremely easily.
It’s ur first time cleaning and cooking a fish u caught? And your known for making awesome lures? That’s kool just didn’t expect that from a custom lure maker, but love the videos and baits you make you do awesome work
Are you crazy! That Brookie was amazing! Just the right size too! Next time just cook the fish whole until it’s flakey.
23:45 he is soo proud
Rattle trap one-day. Wait.... Onnnneeee daaaaay... There we go! Also thanks for the content and a huge congrats on your 200k!
Rockin H
your funny, love the channel! Keep up the great content.
That’s something to see 200k subs rolling down the bank
3:33 we’re going for pike now
Awesome vid. Well done!
you can use saw dust and wood glue then use the super glue
25:06 there are no words to describe Marlin Baits xD
Very nice vid and beautiful logo “MB”
Marling baits and Bobby Duke arts collaboration would be cool
you should catch and cook a bass they are delicious.
You forgot the coc... I mean baking soda, also use lemon pepper
Dude I love your videos
Why is it that the smaller you tubers always have WAY better content then bigger ones😂
I'm pretty sure that tree was actually a cottonwood lol, you got lucky
Great vid bro, respect that u put the pregnant one back, great move
Great video, if you cook trout again skin side down, great try!!!
Awesome job! I wonder where you learned such skill?
Yup. Eastern Cottonwood.
You should make a ladybug micro lure.
fishing’s in Minnesota You’ll be a great opportunity
I’m a new subscriber and have been catching up on some videos... have you ever made a bird lure. If not I think it would be really cool. Also maybe for your 300k sub mark maybe you make a really cool lure and do a giveaway with it. Just tossing the idea out. Either way you do really good work. Look forward to more lures
Hey if you ut it the go to the pecoral fin and go along the rib cage to the tail fin then cook it theres no bones
We're gonna paper and Bic it lmao perfect quote
ive been told many times by many people that large mouth bass are not the best for eating because they have a lot of bones and a long rib cage. from what ive experienced they are pretty good eating especially out of brackish water. they are pretty easy to clean and can yield fairly sizeable fillets with super white and flaky meat. comparable to tilapia. in my opinion a good sized bass pan fried is as good better than any tilapia you can buy and worth at least trying.
Truly a master baiter. Haha.
Love your videos man .. We got the same energy and your relateable. im trying to grow my channel! Tight Lines!
Next time add some oil to the butter to keep it from burning/turning brown.
If ever your looking for something a little different to make you could always try to make something for stripped bass, up here on the east coast the species is really starting to pick up in popularity.
You should do a tarantula or scorpion lure.
OONE DAAAAY!!!
Th cooking failure was the best part 😂
Definitely
Sir please tell use what equipment you are using.
Hey, should make a lure out of plastimake
It's O'FishL 👊😎👍🎣
I'm so glad I found you channel i wish i would of found it two years ago when i was trying my hand at making baits and refurbishing them you could say lol
If you put that trout in tin foil and cook it for about twenty to thirty min. The bones and skin will peel right off the meat. You can cook it in the oven on a grill or an open fire
Let me subscribe this guy is talented!!!
His face after he cooked the trout 😂
When you hit 1 million subs you should make a gold play button lure..... Nice vids by the way
Great vid
You should get a polarizer for your camera so we can see in the water
Try making a lipless crank bait with an almond?
even his dog has the same energy as him
dank.
Hey i have an idea for a future video... I know that your a lure making youtuber but the collection has been building for a few years now i believe... So what if you gathered friends and family and did somewhat of a competition / tournament with all the lures you have made.. This is just and idea so
Whatever you smoked before making this video... I want some.
One day
Since when did Jim Halpert become an outdoorsman. Just love show bro keep it up
This dudes weird, but in a good way. It's probably because he's super smart. I'm gonna subscribe
You're like the Steve1989 of fishing
I always undercook my trout just by a little and shits amazing
I think that tree was a scaley bark hickory nut tree
I'ma take a small piece of the tree *pull half the trunk off* I DIED 😂😂😂
