I flew for half an hour in fairly good rain once. When I landed I was surprised at how dry the glider was. The only part that was "wet" was the leading edge. I think the air flow over the wing keeps most of the water from actually touching the fabric unless it is a heavy rain. Just my observation.
When the rain beads up on the sail it raises the stall speed so a little extra care when landing is good.

does it affect the gliders handling? maybe if the mylar gets drenched, its heavier..
