- Welcome back to my channel and to this episode of Top to Bottom.
So many have ask for it and here it is the follow cam shot from the Zoncolan line. Follow me along on that 1400 meter top to bottom run.
I flew this run a few times in the winter but I think i like it in the summer more.
This was filmed during the rest day from the 2019 hang gliding world championship. #

What an amazing flight and video! That's really awesome, congratulations, you are amazing on your hang gliding. I'm starting desire to learn and start flying with hang gliding even if I'm quite scared. But you are a huge inspiration.

Brilliant run; the top of that wing is SO smooth. What a FUN rip down all those ski slopes down and dirty and fast. Well done vid editor with the sound track. Wish we had runs like that here in the US.
Amazing. I flew Hang Gliders for 30 years and that whole time I was doing my best to go as far and away form anything ground bound. But adrenaline junkies are a creative breed. And the total rush of gleaning lift with tips inches from the craggy face of Provo Peak is still some my fondest memories. So, it is a natural progression from the wing suit vids to proximity hang gliding. Lets hope the progression to multiple deaths and injuries don't follow as well.

When fhe music was slow and emotional i feel alot of deep meanings ideas about safe peace and equality i feel how we all as a human being can make our planet a better place to live in and we have have to respect our defferences co- operation and help each other.

Wolfgang's videos are truly highly skilled art work... his video processing is superb and his music editing tempo always matching the perceived speed and closeness to the ground - high art ! Also, for the speed runs you posted a “selfie view” from the 360cam, also consider posting a forward facing image. I wouldn’t mind watching two videos of the same flight!
Or maybe edit side-by-side images with both angles at some moments, or picture in picture... or change angle sometimes, or replay the “best moments” at both angles, etc. You get it, some different editing or... more than one video. It’s fine to be lazy on editing, so just upload every video twice with two angles.
I mean, selfie view is cool and you look good, but looking forward is much better! A cam on the keel, or a follow cam such as this, is MUCH more interesting!

wow.. that handglider looks extreme efficient and fast..
covering all that wing area with good light solar panels, a light electric motor and we have a very efficient and fast vehicle to go almost anywhere with a runway...

Great video of a great flyer who knows the resort typography to an excellent standard. Follow-cam not quite the forward-facing pilot POV many requested, but brilliantly edited with captivating soundtrack dudes!

Was enjoying watching these videos and then realised that you are the same Wolfie that I flew tandem with in Interlaken last year. I noticed in another of your videos that Beau appears who I also flew tandem with in Interlaken. These are great videos. Wouldn't mind doing some of these runs tandem :-) Watch out for those cables though!!

I was waiting for that long line hanging from your glider get stuck on some fence during a low pass. that seemed super dangerous. That line seems like to be 6-7 meters long. So even if you pass with 3 meter clearance you might get stuck.

How does this find lift at will? It just pulls up and gains altitude like its powered, how??? Also is there a version that’s all at normal speed? Because much of that was sped up, it’d be cool to see those stretches that are right above the ground at actual speed. So cool , just hypnotizing to watch!
The wing creates lift as you glide down in this case just fast. To get altitude you need thermals. There is no motor. This is the actually speed original version if this video dose gliders fly fast right .

Wolfgang, I have questions. How do you memorize the topography of the area where you are flying? Are you flying a designated route? what is the risk of going off course? Also, when you are so close to the ground, how do you maintain your altitude so consistently? I find those sections far more terrifying than when you are high up.
