No thanks. I updated the switch firmware and had zero problems using atmosphere. Being an idiot is the only explanation I can think of for people bricking their switches.

In my tinfoil there is an option called "system update", which allows me to update to 17.0, but it tells me that it can brick my console. What sould i do?

can't I just update the Atmosphere using AIO Switch Updater, then update Switch on CFW emmc (only after removing incognito and using the 90dns checker) and only then updating also the Switch OFW normally???
what works best for you, this just a simple procedure without nothing else installed, dns and key scraping is handled by atmosphere here, no incognito or such, the intention of this video is to avoid using thirdparty tools and easily update unpatched switches, works everytime personally
Thanks for tutorial. I have problem, after updating my emuMMC on 17.0 from 16.0 I got black screen on boot after hekate. I tried to remaking emuMMC after formating SD card, always new atmpshere and stuff, still same result - black screen. sysNAND under 16.0 woks fine, hekate loads normaly. I tried update towards 16.1 after yet another format SD, create emuMCC and it works fine. The problem only with 17.0. My emuMCC is file based, SD Card is FAT32, Fuse burn count is 18 (as it for 16.0)

Per il processo di update non succede nulla, però se hai fatto qualcosa per cui la nintendo ha loggato ti bannano, questa guida è 100% sicura se hai seguito degli standard per non essere bannato
ciao, ho aggiornato alla versione 17.0.1 senza cancellare i temi, ed adesso se carico Emu CFW ottengo blue screen, mentre original FW, già aggiornato correttamente alle 17.01.1, si carica correttamente. Come posso risolvere?

@@cibe Forse il modo più sicuro è ripristinare la console rimuovendo la modifica, aggiornare e modificare di nuovo: così c'è una ragionevole sicurezza a tuo parere?
@@gfrancesc0a Dipende sempre se non hai fatto arrivare qualcosa alla nand di sistema, se qulasiasi log è arrivato li qualsiasi cosa fai rimane salvato, se pensi di non aver fatto nulla che abbia generato log dovresti stare sicuro, se hai fatto tutto nella norma e non installato niente a sistema ma solo nella sd penso puoi procedere tranquillamente
I used your tutorial and all the links provided. I'm not sure what is happening, I can't boot the switch anymore. If I try to boot atmosphere directly, it gets stuck on the logo. If I try booting hekate and then launch, where I had 3 options before (one of them being ATM emunand, which I used to use) now there is only a message along the lines: No main boot entries found... Any ideas on how to solve this?
@@cibe I found the config on github, didn't work. The subreddit discord switch pirates had some links that I've used after your tutorial. I tried captains package. Still same issue. I tried remaking the emummc and now the sd card is dead. Already bought a new one and it should arrive today. But I'm still expecting the same problem. I'm pretty lost.
@@TheDawnhero Thats pretty odd, maybe something is missing, however it could have been related to the sd card, i have seen different issues coming from a non compatible or dying micro sd
Thanks for nothing...did the OFW Update like in your video first and now my Switch won´t boot up... Everywere else is written to update CFW first guys and afterwards trough Nintendo. Watch out guys and dont do the mistake like I did..
You say your switch won't boot up, but thats unlikely possible. You will always be able to boot in OFW unless you installed something on it. If you can provide more clues i will be happy to help you. Something clearly diverged in the process
@@cibe sorry didn´t describe it right since i am really frustrated and trying everthing the last 3h.. the Switch will turn on and I see a for a second the Nintendo logo and afterwards the screen is black and my mod chip is continuesly blinking green. I have a OLED with a hwfly v4 chip... Now I am trying to reset my SD card and and mod the switch a second time.. hope this will help but a lot of extra work since I just wanted a FW update. Also I found out there is a all in one updater AOI Updater, so you can´t mess it up manually
@@DerJuGen If it does not work, what you need to do is probably grab the hwfly toolkit and reflash the firmware, you will probably find more infos here: github.com/hwfly-nx/hwfly-toolbox/releases/tag/1.1.1
I accidentally updated inside my emummc to 17.0.0. The switch still works fine but I get an error message booting into the mmc. Would i update it normally all the same with no issues or is there something I would have to do? Still just wait for official release of atmosphere?
@@docta2985 i solved it by deleting a folder, following a solution found in google. I think it was in atmosphere/contents but not sure. Check for the exact error displayed by atmosphere in google, and you will know which one you should delete. Hope it helps
Thats odd, if you turn off the console the OFW works fine?, try to find another configuration file on the internet and see if it works, maybe something is incorrect

Hello, I'm using dual boot, when I updated my OFW to 17.0.0, hekate wont launch Stock/OFW or Atmosphere EMUNAND. When I launch OFW it shows Unknown pkg1 version HOS version not supported On EMUNAND it just reboots back to hekate. However if I reboot to OFW I can play everything just fine. What should I do?
The same thing happened to me, in hekate press "reboot", and then press "Normal" you will get an error but press Power to continue and it works normally (for me)

As long as the files doesn't get corrupted and get to the microsd it should be possible.

You need to configure the hekate_ipl file or find a config for it

Check for the exact error displayed by atmosphere in google, and you will know which one you should delete. Hope it helps

This is more of a noob friendly update to update both OFW and CFW avoiding bricking or getting banned if something goes mismatch

I just renamed it to atmosphere its a preference, nothing more. The procedure is still the same, nothing changed.
