NIce job. Worked flawless. Simplest tutorial I've seen. Only thing I needed to do on my own was reinstall tinfoil and grab the latest sig patches for that.

@@SwitchBrew Idk. Tinfoil wasnt launching for me. So I copied over the system 18 sig patches from that SigmaPatches website. I was upgrading from atmosphere 16. Merged the new sig patches to the proper folders on the sd and it worked. I only update my switch like once every 2 or 3 years. When its a requirement to play a new game, So, I always forget what the process is do this stuff. Don't really keep up with the news lol.

Hello. I’m having a problem with installing 18.1.0 in daybreak.
After I click on 18.1.0, update fails. Validation failed with result : 0x00011805.
What should I do now?
Do it with a windows PC. I've done it with mac and it did the same error.

I accidentally update my stock firmware. I cant go to custom firmware, can you pleade teach me how to update customfirmware?
Thank you. I was able to do the update it seems. But for some reason like half my games became corrupted during the process (including tinfoil). Any idea why this might be the case?
Im on an unpatched v1 switch. About to go through sig patches and such but i assume you have the latest ones already in your download.
Its not even all the games, just like half decided to crap out on me...

When I bought my switch the CFW was set up on sysnand and I do not know how to change it. Is there any easy way to do this without bricking the switch?

I did encounter an error when clicking launch on the bootloader: "No main boot entries found..." - I had to copy and replace the hekate_ipl.ini file from the old bootloader folder to my new one.
After finally being able to boot up the system kept crashing with error : "error code 2123-0011", updating the blankprod line for sys from 1 to 0 in the exosphere.ini file resolved that
Had same problem with no boot entries found. Thank you so much for putting this comment here. Helped me immensely.

thank you for this... in the past, ive tried using the AIO updater, and its resulted in me getting locked out and about 2 hours of tinkering with things to get it back up and running. One thing id like to clarify: is it safe to assume that i can delete the "old bootloader" and "old atmosphere" folders from the root of my SD?

I have a problem, I have the 18.0.1 version, I want to update it but when I want to open the album an error pops Error Code: 2144-0001 (0x290) you know what I can do??
My tinfoil wasn't working properly, I wanted to reinstall it that's when I find my album is not working too....

I'm stuck with installing update. 100% complete but shutdown and reboot buttons are still gray. Does it really take time?
I didn't find the writing at minute 9:26 in the system, I've done exactly as in the video but in Daybreak it says "update is valid' so how do I update via Daybreak bro?

I've Followed the instructions and got my switch to update but now none of my software/games work. It tells me Unable to start software. Any idea what to do to fix this?
Update:
I figured it out, I'm glad I backed up my whole sd. I just added back my old untouched switch folder and it seemed to fix it all. Idk if that was the solution but it fixed my problem. Thanks for the tutorial!

I have an RCM injector and it’s not letting me boot up to the modded OS. It’s putting me in the hekate page and when I try to go to the fusee.bin it just detects a panic and restarts hekate. When I try to go to CFW-emuMMC it gives me the forced but not enabled error code.

I got error on daybreak it says it failed to validate my patch.
I found the error, I was using mariko chipset thats why it gave me an error. I migrated to atmosphere and everything is fine right now.

@@SwitchBrew most likely "emuMMC is forced but not enabled! Failed to launch HOS!". Had to recreate the entire partition and reinstall my games :(

You can't downgrade firmware

getting stuck at the end sucks daybreak error 0x00000402 fail to setup update. not sure what left to try.

@@SwitchBrew Have a windows laptop that i used. It verified the update just fail to setup it when i hit install. I have HWFLY oled switch and i basically followed what you did. At first Atmosphere was giving an error. So I went back to the old folder and just drop/replace the files with the new ones.
I also tried downloading the update on the switch itself with the updater app. Tried airplane mode and a bunch of other stuff i found online none worked. Might have to reset and just keep my saves than redo the process from scratch.

I just did the 18.0.0 update vid then realised there was an 18.0.1, so had to do that one too 🤣

Go back and rename the bootloader and atmosphere to old and then try again

I use nxloader for the .bin file and connect my v1 switch to my phone to boot the switch. The file is normally named fuse.bin?

@switch brew I did everything the video said to do everything went good I thought until I went into daybreak and I’m getting the failed to update ??? Is it because I used a Mac OS system to do this ? Please let me know as I am stuck moving forward .. my switch still works fine just can’t update

@@tokitone so load up your SD card on your windows pc. Delete the 18.1.0 folder and then put it back on again using your windows pc. You should then be good to go from there
How do you remove custom themes?

Booting to atmosphere hasnt been working after i updated the normal switch firmware. I didn't do it in CFW though.

Update tinfoil manually
Hit the + and delete it, I then reinstall it.

Tinfoil 18 not launching any more :The programm couldn't start, try from home menu
When you try to launch it from home menu it doesnt start tinfoil 18
Everything was working fine with tinfoil 17
And cfw 18.00
But with cfw 18.1.0 and tinfoil 18 it doesn't start any more
As soon as I got on my switch after updating to 18.1.0 I launched tinfoil and it prompted a message that there was an update for tinfoil. I closed the app and opened it back up and it automatically update to 18.0 and it works fine
