So as you may or may not know I’m super preggers.. 7 months and 4 days to be exact.
Overall I’m having a pretty good time.. considering I’ve been hearing horror stories from my sister about being “poisoned” for 9 months straight with nausea, dehydration, and multiple hospital visits to get fluids in. I’ve been cruising. I feel like a whale and the least attractive I’ve ever felt in my life but so far the munchkin and I are on best of terms. Now me and my drums on the other hand not so much. ever since I heard from my Dr that the baby can’t be exposed to long periods of continues loud volume aka drumz. Totally killed my mojo. which brings me to this next vlog.
A while back I posted a stream of random vlogs for my patrons, typically I don’t share those with the general public cause you know, I’m pretty weird, and I try to keep that on a need to know basis, but since I’m not currently shooting new videos I decided to resort to my small bank of weird videos not yet publicly posted. Back then I thought it was a pretty terrible video.. but I guess perspective changes, cause I was just watching it and chuckling the whole way through. I will say however that I feel super thankful to have moved to a new home, we roughed through it in this tiny one bed apartment for about 15 years. so I just have to take a minute to thank the f'ing supreme source energy for my sweet-ass new dig.
But anyways… I really just wanted to say hi 👋

Ingredients:
3 tomatoes
1 onion
1 red bell pepper
1 red hot pepper
5-7 garlic cloves
6 medium potatoes cut vertically
1/2 cup oil
2 lemons
Cilantro
Parsley
1 garbanzo beans
Salt, paprika, turmeric, crushed coriander, chili flakes.
3-4 tilapia filet.
Instructions:
Let the fish sit in water with salt and lemon
Finely chop the tomatoes, onion, red pepper, garlic
Put half a cup of oil and add the cut vegetables
Let it simmer for a dew minutes and add the spices. (Half a tea spoon of sugar is the only measurement that is indicated in the recipe)
Add the juice of one lemon and adjust the spices.
cook on medium flame with the lid closed for 15 min
Check there’s enough liquids, if not add some boiling water.
Add the potatoes as a top layer and keep cooking for 20 minutes
Add cilantro and parsley on top of the potatoes
Add the fish on top
Add the rest of the cilantro and parsley on top of the fish and cook 10-15 minutes
Add garbanzo

Awesome I eat tilapia sometimes but mostly salmon... 🐟 with creamed spinach, mashed potato 🥔 and some kind of noodles 🍜

Thank you for sharing, Love; it's nice to see something different from you. You are super gorgeous pregnant ( I remember that last video now ). It might look a little strange, but perhaps you can wrap a pillow or pad around your belly while you play drums to protect the little one--although I've never heard of drums or loud music being bad for a fetus 🤷♂️

This is a nice visit. Usually don’t get to hear you speak. You’d been listening to Lionel Richie. The salt is always to taste and yes the seeds are coriander but some cardamom would be good in this set. Like how you brined the tilapia. Bet this would be great with shutome. Toast the coriander before use, makes them more aromatic. Glad you’re cruising through prego experience. Yes to adding parsley. Low and slow is the way to go. Keep from scorching the bottom. Bet some saffron basmati rice with a little coconut milk in there would win the side.you poached the fish in the sauce. Try sear it before. Dish looks healthy and delicious. Hey Meytal, a couple of pointers if I may. When using whole seed spices, it's really nice to toast them in a hot, dry saute' pan prior to grinding them in your mortar and pestle. You would not believe how much the flavor pops when you do this. Also as a nice accompaniment to your dish, preserved lemons would be amazing. BTW, I just got home from the market and I purchased all the ingredients to make this for my dinner tonight. I will be using Grouper however as I am not a big fan of Tilapia. I will most definitely let you know how it came out.

As a retired Chef of thirty years, you did an awesome job. The recipe looks delicious 🤤. What is most noteworthy is your execution and skill in the kitchen. The one thing I really appreciated 👍 is the way you hold the knife. I know that sounds weird but most people hold it wrong and I fear that they are going to chop off a finger. Anyway, I know what I will be having for dinner tonight. As always, you are truly amazing!
