They were my first concert nearly 60 years ago. Loved them then, love them now. Bill Medley is on his last concert tour at age 83. Bobby passed away at age 63.😢 They gave us a terrific music for over 60 years. Thank you!💕
I’ll be 65 this year, it’s so wonderful to see the younger generation truly enjoying the music from my childhood. I’ve been hearing so many songs I’d forgotten. Thank you for the memories
Loved your reaction to Bobby Hatfield`s very soulful voice. As a black kid growing up in a small town in the 60`s with only one radio station I learned to appreciate all music no matter who made it. I loved pop, country, rock, R and b, classical and jazz. Nice to see some of you black youngsters discovering this for the first time. This is magic stuff.
This duo was the greatest .If you notice the precision they had together actually Bobby Hatfield was the tenor voice and Bill Melody was the baritone voice they shouldn't have blended together but they did and it was pure magic. When they did solos their performances were sheer perfection. so effortless and smooth together they were a wonder.Happy to see the younger generation appreciate this music.
Bill and Bobby together was a once in a lifetime pairing. They were both amazing singers that is why their music remains timeless. It does my heart good to hear young ppl discovering how amazing they truly were.
The Righteous Brothers were a once in a lifetime experience for those of us who grew up in the early 60s. They had such a unique sound individually and their harmonies were incredible. I am sure they were "responsible" for a LARGE part of the baby boom era. It is not too often that a single note will evoke such wonderful memories from millions of people. IMO, there has not been a song with that capability in at least the last 15 years. Nowadays, you cannot understand t e words, the songs have no beat or recognizable tempo and they are NEVER about actually loving someone. and so many "singers" just cannot actually SING a song that isn't just full of profanity and just plain negativity. So terribly sad. Even country music is becoming very formulaic with a steady snap or clap beat.
Ladies & Gentlemen.. This is called REAL MUSIC... 2 clean cut white dudes with soul... wearing tuxedos.... one with high voice, the other with a low voice... and putting out a "pure" sound. Excellent harmony
Jayvee, I think this is what we ladies miss most today, the romantic ballad, the love song. I am 62 now, but every time I hear the Righteous Brothers I still just melt. Thanks for posting and reacting to these great old mostly forgotten songs.
Down on the border we listened to XERF Ciudad Acuna, Wolfman Jack was DJ. He played the Righteous Brothers and everyone was slow dancing with their world in their arms. Atleast it was how I felt when I had my Dolores in my arms, smelling the herb applemint coming from her hair. It was life eternal back then.
Whatever happened to the very romantic deep voiced soul singer like Lou Rawles ( You'll never find) or anything by Barry White, Al Green. Truly romantic songs.
But you had Phil Spector building "The wall of sound". Listen again. This recording was highly produced. No question Bill and Bobby could really sing, but this recording wasn't pure.
Jayvee, I think you're a little bit of a romantic. I bet you treat your friends and family well. It's awesome that you have appreciate all kinds of music.
My Dolores and I was dancing to this and I looked into her eyes and saw tears: I asked her "Why the tears?" She said because I love you so much my emotions cause tears of happiness. AS I wiped the tear from her cheek and placed it in my mouth I told her: Your tears have a flavor that only I will know. The year was 1965.
I got to see them live several times when I was living in Las Vegas in the mid-90s. Even thirty years after they had all these hits, they were still in top form. I would literally kill to have Bill Medley's deep voice. RIP Bobby Hatfield.
Jayvee, I'm 71 and I can't tell you how much joy it brings me for you to discover the truly AMAZING music that we "old Boomers" loved and listened to in our teens. There is a WONDERFUL world awaiting you. Check out the play lists in the 60's and let the good time roll!
The Righteous Brothers were the first that I heard on the radio that I can remember. I’m sixty three years old now and I still love their music! Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Just turned 36y/o white dude, I grew up listening to this, Elvis, Buddy (these 3 being my favourites & got me into playing guitar & piano) , Big Bopper, Bill Haley, Eddie Cochran, still have 90% of them on my mob/mp3 etc playlists to this day.
Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield... saw then in concert on Oakland when I was 16.. really left an impression, still love all these songs 53 years later... classic that never fade away... wow 🤩
So under rated, I love them I bet people thought they were AA, if they'd heard them before they saw them, much like Tina Marie, my little sister and I used to sing their songs when we were little kids
I love to see the pure joy on your face when you discover real unudulterated music.. Give Simon & Garfunkels The Sounds of Silence and Bridge over Troubled Water a listen. I would be interested in your reaction. There is so much good music out there for you to experience. Keep listening and broadening your taste. Luv U

Try Bill Medley doing "Brown Eyed Woman" and "(I Had) The Time Of My life" with Jennifer Warnes. You'll love them both. Also I think it's time for you to hear Smokey Robinson doing "Ooh Baby Baby", and Jackie Wilson doing "Lonely Teardrops". All of these guys were contemporaries.
I saw them in Las Vegas in the early 90s. I had my hands on the stage, my table was first row. VIP line from the Pit Boss. Shootin Craps has its advantages. Every thing is free when you shoot craps. I asked for a pack of cigarettes, and when they arrived I tried to pay, she said no, its free at the craps table. I tipped her. Concerts are free, and always VIP line (you surpass the people in line). That also happened when the Moody Blues was in Vegas, although I wasn't first row like the Righteous Brothers. I was like in the first big booth, with free drinks. Everyone had free drinks, not just us. But there are tiers of Booths, so everyone can see. So when you are being VIP seated, you tip the seater well, and he assures you the best seat he can give you. Thats how it works. I only did one slot machine, one time. I was trying to kill a little time, so I played a nickel slot. It went red 777, and I hit the Jackpot. 🤣 I never knew a nickel machine could pay that much.
I have been watching your reactions for awhile now and they are priceless. Our music just made you happy and want to fall in love. Thank you for appreciating good music.
OMGOD! You have turned my 4th of July weekend in to a real celebration... I have things to get done but I cannot quit watching! I am 81.. be 82 in August and watching your "first time hearing" videos of all my old favorite songs have me laughing, crying, choking up as I can feel ya' enjoying these great songs as I did thru the years.!!! I am enjoying your reactions more than you will ever know, man. Better than when one of my girlfriend's nephews came here from Colorado to visit (San Diego) and I got to show him the ocean for the first time.. she got a kick watching me watch his reaction. I have subscribed and want to see and HEAR each one you do. You have a fan for as long as you can keep on keepin' on and my body lets me sit in front of this computer!! Oh yeah!
He is an amazing man. His wife was murdered in 1976 and they solved it just in the past two or three years. When your kids love you , you know you've done something right.
Karen and he had been divorced five years when she was kidnapped by a stranger, raped and murdered. Bill took off a few years to be with his son Darrrin who was 10. Using familIal DNA test the ID’d her killer In 2017 as a convicted sex offender, Kenneth Troyer, who was a fugitive shot and killed by police in 1982.
They were my favourite group in the '60's and I am so glad you have reacted to them especially the way you have. I love them and all of their songs. I really enjoy your channel and keep up the good work. Barbara
The Dynasty Duo hit it out of the park again 😀. Their cover of THE NIGHT TIME IS THE RIGHT TIME is incredible It's with the Blossoms, Darlene Love is the lead singer.
I forgot about this song, thank you so much for playing it sweetheart. Their voices were so different but melded perfectly together. Two very talented young men who gave us so much pleasure in listening to them. You have the heart and soul to listen to the music of days long gone and in doing so you bring back the great pleasure we had when we first heard them as youngsters, bless you. I grew up in Jamaica and had the same exposure. Everything played on the radio and in my house. Would not change that for the world.
These men could sing that they are going to pay bills and women would melt I swear lol.
Your best quote "They sound good just talking."
I was thinking the same thing!
And humming.
My favorite

Great duo they set the standard
Romance is at the heart of all their songs .

62 years old and music connects the world. From Beethoven to Chance the Rapper.
They truly are great!
So nice to hear these LOVE songs again!
That there is "blue-eyed soul". These two were equally talented, both had amazing voices, but, together, man they were incredible. Hit after hit.
Either one would be a great soloist, but together they knock it out of the park.
These two were a class act.

Easily the best duo ever without a doubt.

My favorite singers from that generation, and there were many great ones. Enjoyed your reaction.
Very Righteous are the Righteous Brothers
The look on your face is precious. At least you know good music when you hear it. I don't know how many younger people can appreciate that. Love em.

That bit where he speaks and then the drum beat picks up and the other belts out the refrain gives me goosebumps.
What a beautiful world it would be if we could all appreciate each other’s music.
Wow😁their voices go together like molasses and butter😍perfection😘
Love the way you love these "brothers". Also that background orchestra That's the famous "wall of sound" from the infamous Phil Spector.
