The main thing I like about this primer is the price, not much else. I tried this on a 79 T/A when my usual primer(VP2050) was hard to come by. I didn't mind the pink but I felt there isn't enough contrast in color when sanding to really amount to a guide coat. The gray is pretty light and difficult to see against the pink. I also thought this was one of the toughest primers I've ever sanded. I've used other polyesters and sanded somewhat easier. I know he mentioned hitting it about 3 hours but that's not always possible when doing restorations. I've always liked to make sure my primers are completely cured and done shrinking. The fill qualities are good but it doesn't seem the other qualities' technology has come too far from the first generation FeatherFill and that was years ago. The rep did mention direct to metal due to the activator now. Even on large areas. I only have two fenders on that TA with this primer but time will tell on any de-lam.

Hi Ed, Terry Warman from the lake area. Under Jeff and Larry at JCs.
I just posted a short video due to questions I had people ask me about the pink primer. Shared yours too.

My local jobber advised me to spray a light coat of epoxy sealer before applying the polyester. I let it dry a few hours to make sure there’s no chemical reaction. Is what I did acceptable?

What grit do you sand the bare metal and body filler with before applying this?

I use Superbuild but after I block with 150 I go to a urethane primer. I see a lot of people painting on top of Polly lol . To me it’s like painting on top of bondo lol

It should be sealed or urethane primed and sanded before topcoat👍🏼
