  • Mark targets build sound truly great on paper but it may not be the best for staff users. The inconsistency of marking can lead to some nerve-wrecking moments and many would think why is it better build compared to Empowered Psionics or completely insane Warp Charges.
However, that doesn´t mean it cannot be good with Psyker/Gun combo which I haven´t tried yet.
Enjoy and see you in the next one!

Duration I'd say is better than max stacks, you don't teach 15 stacks often and keeping it up potentially longer will have more value.

Completely agree! The worst part is once you lose 14th stack stack it doesn´t jump to 13 but to 0. I wish it worked like Warp Charges. It would be so much fun.

Marking the targets is actually very useful.
It helps you pick out gunners and lone enemies that might otherwise sneak an attack into your back.
I pair it with dome shield and void or shock staff (or gun).
Yes, you're probably better off with double time than double maxstack. ...but I don't really notice or pay attention to the bonus. Get it for the recon Intel. The bonuses are icing on top.

Id love if the marking would stay for 10 seconds or until killed. You can see the marked target switches or just blatantly turns off after not even a second.
If bonuses are just "icing on top" I can run Warp Charges and Mark build is obsolete.

the problem with the marks is only the last marked enemy is shown as marked,
and that they all disappear at once, which lead to you to compete with your teamates for kills sometimes to keep your stacks going

I love the idea but I would time it as with warp charges or I would rework the marking system making more often and stay on a target longer with "You get a stack with a kill but lose a stack on an incorrect kill." and once you kill somebody you get another buff allowing you to kill anything until next target appears.

@@theamatorium i think they should just change the placement of the nodes so that you always get 30s delay on marks and you choose between 2 at a time or 30 stack marks maximum .
Wouldn't be much but i'd prefer stacking more slowly but having less chance to lose the streak, and still reaching 30 marks

What if you cut it's benefits in like half or by 1/3. But it's permanent and stacks up to 15/30 BUT you lose all stacks if you go down. for this damn talent. Really good and risky to take should be the name of the game.

That sounds interesting too. Fatshark does need to look into it a little bit more.

Interesting build. What if you use gun instead of staff and switch from Telekine shield to Scrier's gaze?
You could turn into Gandalf holding AK-47 by using Mk VId Recon Lasgun with Infernus blessing.

Yea I think it would be much better using a gun instead of a staff. More testing needed!

That's essentially one of my builds. Paired with chainsword I believe.
Marks out ranged targets for the VId to melt. Scrier's gaze usually gets tapped when I cook in melee unless I just want to bump my fire when it looks like I won't need it for a bit so it'd be a waste not to.

i am playing this build. Columnus infantry gun with blessing for immunity to ranged attack on close range kill. Catachan sword with cleave blessing. Brain Burst with talent on autoproc. Scrier's gaze. And marking targets. Full crit.
It seems like movement speed buffs are not capped in Darktide. Because you can stack up so many movement speed, that you zooming around faster than White Scars.
Fun, agressive, fast and suprisingly strong build. Yet to see any of my teammates outdmg me. Even with recent plasmagun enjoyers. Even ammo not such a problem, as you faster than your team and can scavenge crates ahead of others.
With parry on sword you can fight off crushers, ragers and even bosses (except for slug, he doesnt attack much, unless you smack his tail). Btw parry on catachan sword counts as a block. Which means psyker talent that uses peril instead of stamina to block - also works here.
