Also, crowd work is not "just having conversation," there are people paying to see you converse, you gotta make them laugh by legit funny jokes. And coming up with a *good* joke in an instant isn't everybody's cup of tea. On the other hand, anybody with a sound brain can write at least one joke in a couple of days if he really tries.

As a rapper I'd make the comparison of writing and freestyling, I can't freestyle for shit but write my ass off. whereas a producer friend of mine can freestyle for hours on end but can't write for shit. One is having the creativity and mental force to sit down and try to come up with clever/multiple meaning bars for hours on end day after day til u master it. Whereas the other is building the mental muscle by rhyming day after day til u are able to think fast enough to come up with coherent rhymes in a split second. Neither are easy, they're just different. But on the same note you can't build a career on freestyling, just as you can't build a career on crowd work.

What Andrew does to bring people together is staggering to say the least cause he talks about these things like they should be. completely normal and allows everybody in the room to laugh at something that they in a lot of cases wouldn’t be able to and coming together even in a setting like a comedy show is important in reminding everybody that your not really different from the people across the aisle

It's truly amazing to have the kind of eloquence to bring up something controversial that will cause tension, and completely de-escalate the situation with a statement that everyone can find humor in. Truly masterful. The amount of comedians that can do this, and off the cuff no less, is miniscule.

@Derek Hitt no he wasn't he left so much ambiguous for many to laugh at including me who is a trump supporter that that's just what you picked up on in his ambiguousness of it all. He left so much open to interpretation in that joke and the science behind it is actually quite magnificent. he first recognized that there was a trump supporter and then he talked to the crowd to get their feel on it and then he played off of the vibe he was getting in the room before proceeding.

Whats awesome is his ability to unite anyone with his comedy. Everyone is there to laugh, and by the end of the night everyone's laughing together. It rules

He could of made that very tense for everyone if he went the wrong way with his jokes coz MAGA hats get people riled up but he actually got everyone laughing, that takes a lot of talent off the cuff as well
