"I'm open to ideas, but that one was not a good first draft."
I'm doing an open mic stand up for the first time this Thursday. I'm so nervous, but I'm trying to be confident. Watching this makes me feel at ease. I would love being here.
How did it go?:)))
yeah how did it go
@@wakieee & @Hunteractually 😊 Thank y'all for asking. I think it went pretty well, I got a few laughs, but mostly I'm proud of myself for getting up there not only once, but a second time as well!! And I'm going again this Thursday!
I noticed I have to leave out some space for laughter (or potential laughter 😅) and then continue. It was really fun and I made a lot of friends!
(Maybe I'll post the videos on my channel.. I definitely still need work, but it'll be cool to keep track of where I started from.)
✨✨✨
@@MigglesTheGidget Nice!
@@MigglesTheGidgetstand up is straight up the scariest thing i can think of so i respect most people that do it
I love the way you handle this & I've loved seeing your development as a top comedian.
As someone who's stuttered most of his life (terribly, as a child), I've got nothing but respect & admiration for what you've achieved.
This has to be the best thing I have ever seen. So many comedians or anyone really would have lost their shit with this crowd. He was super cool and playing along. This dude deserves all the medals for all the things 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shut up, Dan! 🤣
Awww, I'm not sure, but I almost wonder if the lady was sorta trying to force Drew to interact because he's so good at handling heckling. I hope people aren't becoming overly interruptive.
She seems drunk to me
Genius! I love it. The crowds crazy and he's handling it perfectly.
Lmao the lean /caro*lean* joke was so unexpected for me hahahah and then the absolute killer joke! You are very funny Drew!
"Shut up, Dan!" Thank you for telling him for me, Drew!
Wow, I haven’t seen one of your videos in maybe over a year, but I don’t think I heard a stutter one time. Thats amazing dude, funny video as always. Stay killing it man!
His laugh is so cute lol
YESS
I've never heard pf this guy before, but his quick thinking is truly admirable! He had the audience at the palm of his hand
Haven't seen him without his stutter. Good job man
Dang, he's gotten quite good at controlling his stutter, I remember watching him a few years ago and he's come a long way since. :D
I’m embarrassed for her,lol
I remember when i first found drews stand up and this dude has come so fucking far, his speech is drastically better, along with that his confidence is awesome and his crowd control has always been on point but damn bro that was fantastic
This guy is so great at dealing with bad crowds!! I love Drew's comedy and wit.
When he said, "what's your mom's name?" and then said, "Car-", I was like no way his her name Karen! It was almost perfect 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Man, it's been awhile since I've seen Drew. I need to try and get tickets for another show. This stuff is what makes it great, lol.
I think Caroline had a bit too much of the old drink there that night.
Man anyone close to her would lose motivation to stay on the show, Surprised her family didn't leave
I guess that's what happens when you go to a whole another world n your own house then go back?
@@gadoplays8478 they left 10 min after this.
@@beertlont776 that's way too long. you telling me he had to put up with 10 more minutes of them? brutal
I live for his impromptu crowd work omg xD
drew is the kind of guy we wish we were in the shower when we think back of an argument that hapened ten years ago
The random cut to her just fuckin fist pumping in the crowd killed me🤣🤣🤣
Man, I could tell you were getting annoyed there toward the end. Hope the show overall was fun. That nurse did not add to the funnies. 😅
Wow that’s incredible, I have no idea how you handled that awkwardness AND made it funny!
Great job! ❤
This was such a wild show!!
her comprehensive skills are off the charts i must say
She’s drunk, she’s nurse, but the most important - she’s here.
I was there! You are so wonderful AND funny! I believe she had had a bit to drink! Thanks for coming to Chico 🤗
_i love the "shut up, Dan" haha_
😂
Haven't checked in with your videos for a few years, I didn't catch a single stutter in this whole routine even though it's obviously unscripted.
Great to see that, had somebody stumbled across this not knowing about the stutter, they wouldn't have noticed anything and probably would have still had a good laugh.
i personally dont have a thing for stand up comedians but this man makes me wanna buy tickets and show up to the next show
I just picked up on the snapping/tick you mentioned you used during the video about the speaker exploding. And as already mentioned, your stutter has improved so much since I first found you!! Glad things are working out for you.
Woah… I haven’t watched in a while. That speech therapy seems to be going really really well! Wild! And my god, is his humor just so fluid. It just works, there’s no missed beats, no moment to think of a response, just constant humor. I can’t imagine handling being interrupted while publicly speaking, dealing with the heckler, but also keeping it entertaining and funny for everyone else. It’d for sure throw me off.
I haven’t seen one of your videos in years and I just wanted to say how proud I am to see how far you’ve come! I remember seeing your stand up sets and your videos with Stella and hoping you’d achieve what you wanted to. Glad to see you’re still kicking! Keep on soaring Drew ❤
Edited to say since it’s been so long I didn’t know about Stella’s passing. Im sorry for your loss
U draw the strangest crowds. It's happy happy fun fun
This man needs a Netflix special
"I know everybody" 😂when he said it, it made me giggle so much
His speech is so amazing from the first time I saw him on video on facebook years ago. This is absolutely fantastic! ❤
