@@TheDrewLynch - I have a response to your "End of the Video" question :: First off, I hate the whole "Woke" thing, not what it is specifically about, because my full understanding of it is vague, and for my own happiness, I intend to keep it that way, all I know id that whenever I hear sentences/topics with the word "Woke" in them, it always seems to be an irritating subject matter or opinion, to the point now where just hearing the word now immediately puts me off whatever it is about. Now "P,C, culture, I have a pretty full understanding of it, and my opinion is that I think of it more of a "Way of speaking and behaving" rather than a "culture" - I feel like Culture should be about heritage and your "Roots" kind of thing. That part destroyed me 😂 The delivery was everything, and it's such a funny joke. If something ever happened to me, and my partner used that as a joke he could tell later on about it when it came up to make it funnier and less burdensome, I'd love that. Obviously it would be terrible if someone meant it and said it, but that's part of why it's so funny, the absurdity.
I appreciate that you’re able to laugh at that given what you’ve endured. I just had a discussion with someone recently regarding comedy and “situational awareness” This person was saying comedians need to be careful with some jokes because you don’t know who’s in the audience or what “their trauma/triggers” might be. But, where do you draw that line? It came up with some video, and the person in the audience got up and started to leave and the comedian asked, started to make a joke about it (which isn’t uncommon, guy walking off during a set gets called out by comedian) and the guy said something like “I’m sorry, just hit kinda close to home” and made a comment about continuing and not let him ruin the show for everyone else. But the thing that annoyed me was this person was saying how “if you don’t know, don’t go there” sort of things, and that reminded me of how a different comedian made a really good point responding to a heckler for being offensive about someone dying and he flat out said something like “you have any idea what I’ve been through? And this is how I learned to cope with …” and lists a few things like death of a spouse, abuse as a kid, and a couple other things as well. It’s just frustrating when ONE single person has to feel the need to stand up and defend everyone because that one person might be offended. Humor is truly a good way to cope. But it’s not for everyone. I think it’s also the result of nowadays everyone thinks that not only their opinions should be heard by all, but approved by all as well, and that their opinion is correct as long as they’re offended by it.

He’s saying she’s woke because she was so offended by what he said she felt entitled to address him in the middle of his set even though somewhere where people attended to listen to jokes. The word “woke” is a bit overused but the entitlement she felt that compelled her to address a comedian directly during a set to complain about a person issue she had with his joke is leaning a bit towards PC more so than “woke”. But I get what he meant.
Doesn't woke come from people projecting their insecurities and to justify for it defend the insecurities of everyone else to mask the fact that they just don't have a sense of humor about themselves? Sorry if a comic unintentionally points points to something you don't like about yourself or your relationship maybe you need to take a good look at that thing because it will come back to bite you in the ass anyway. If anything you should be thankful for the insight into a blindspot in your life.

Don’t they know how a comedy show works?
No. They don't. It must be about them and no one else. Even the story teller has to take a back seat to their shortcomings. They're like that kid that reminds the teacher of weekend homework even though the teacher was being altruistic towards their student's days off from school.

There is definitely a good time and a good place for utilizing PC behavior, like how certain times when you should remember to use your manners more, time and place for foul language -I feel like being PC is that sort of thing:
- However I 100% believe that being PC has zero place in Comedy, jokes are rude, vulgar, offensive racist, prejudiced and that is just how it is, probably how it should be, Comedy incorporates Offensive material, in the way that Action movies incorporate violence, and how horror incorporates gore and terror - and in each of these things, the contents are appropriate and required
You can't have a horror movie without blood, guts and murd3r
You can't have Action without W3apons, car chases, fist fights etc
And so you cannot have Comedy without pushing the boundaries of offensiveness,
- One example, who was a little extreme not entirely to my taste was Andrew Dice Clay
- Another couple of examples, more to my tastes, were Eddie Murphy and Robin Williams
- One of my all time favorite Comedians had NO QUALMS whatsoever about saying the down and dirty truth and offending people at all, and was also so very VERY often accurate as heck about his points, offensive as they were - George Carlin.
So, that is my take on your question from the end of the video, I hope that you actually manage to see it, I love your comedy, I discovered your work first from AGT tryouts, you were pretty funny and I always thought you were awesome, glad you did so well on that show. Keep up the great work man.

Very little comedians make really laugh. You are one of the few. Great comedy.
I love seeing comedians messing with a heckler. This might have been the nicest way I’ve ever seen it handled.
I did lose my wife sadly, but the "she died" jokes actually had me laughing, and the "lost respect for her, just be alive" had me to the point where I almost joined her for laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. Funniest thing I've heard in a while. Thanks for that!
I just had a discussion with someone recently regarding comedy and “situational awareness”
This person was saying comedians need to be careful with some jokes because you don’t know who’s in the audience or what “their trauma/triggers” might be.
I was going to say "sorry for your loss", but I think I'll go with "happy that you met the love of your life"

Usually good comedians will make a joke about themselves and point out the obvious before a heckler does. Woke comedians never do, they usually get straight into slandering other people usually straight white men or talk about racism, sexism etc
There’s a UK comedian called Nish Kumar who’s Indian but instead of making jokes about his family or culture he just goes on about how bad white people are like a bitter angry little man
Instead of telling them to suck it up and deal with it, their parents gave them prizes when they cried.

Not saying at all that that’s what you’re doing. If anything, you’re punching up because your wife’s so tall. I just find it very interesting seeing the different approaches to touchy subjects in comedy (never thought height difference in marriage would count as touchy haha)
Oh yess, Gianmarco Soresi does woke comedy really well. It takes a lot of intelligence to make a good "woke"/not punching down joke.
@@mahnoor2775 Yeah! Awesome to see someone who likes his comedy style too! His jokes are just so well thought out
I never understood why people who get offended easily go to a comedy club.
to educate the comedians and masses on what is appropriate to laugh at or not
Woke mind virus.
Because those kinds of people personalize everything.
to get rid of their frustration and find excuses to bully other people
@@richardbastuck3902they are too into themselves. Narcissists.
I've been following you for a long time and am beyond amazed with how far you've come. Keep inspiring people, you're hilarious!!!
Why go to a comedy show if you have no sense of humor
First and last date? 😯🤣
@@RickJohnson duuuude imagine that was someone's date 🙈
@@CraiiZeD I would sink into the floor at that point
She doesn't realize she has no sense of humor. Every time someone tried to tell her, she wrote it off as "mysogyny"
Some people just LOVE to get offended. It's like an adrenaline kick for them or an ego boost.
I don't think this is what you call woke. This is just asshole behavior.
Some people tend to go too far into things or completely neglect nuance.
You can _both_ be out there to want a better world with less discrimination, _and_ laugh at dark humor jokes (for example).
But I guess that's just me.
ME TOO. She was just a bitch lol. It's comedy. You're supposed to laugh at everything because they have at least a hint of truth to them. I could understand if the joke wasn't funny. Like a misogynistic man thinking it's it's funny to say women belong in the kitchen. But Drew is a pretty cool and morally aware guy. Something slightly offensive but true coming from people like him or, moreso, seen as a funny hard truth than the problematic person spitting hatred as comedy.
Woke is an insult these days :)
literally this, theres a difference between being politically correct by not like. saying slurs or something and just yelling at someone for no reason
But I get what he meant.
dog whistle. ignorance. or both.
She thought it was a TED Talk.
That's funny!
Glad you’re talking about this problem, I wouldn’t even care if it was a grift. It just needs to be said.
Taking comedy seriously is the ultimate set up for a major burn as witnessed here.
Well played, sir!
I don't think she was "woke" I think she is dating a short king and feels insecure about it.
*was dating a short king
Yup, exactly what I was thinking.
Nah, she got dumped by one, and immediately latched onto the idea that he dumped her because of her height, rather than her personality. This is 100% the correct interpretation, and I’m sticking to it.
I don't think she was woke I think she was asleep
"So these are jokes" I'M CRYING!! You're awesome Drew!!
Hey man. As someone who stuttered really bad growing up and am now over it under certain circumstances but seeing you not really stutter no more is really awesome and great.
6:30 “She died. She died right away.” 🤣 Love this guy
I haven’t watched this guy since a few years after he was on AGT… now he’s practically without his stutter! It’s incredible what the human brain is capable of.
Oh shit that’s right! He’s the dude with the stutter! Wow what a change
I’ve listened to a few of his shows. The lack of stuttering here is very impressive.
@@catlifechannel3886he faked it for attention. Nothing impressive.
does anyone know how he cured it
@@JoshuaWriter he never had a stutter, probably. Or exaggerated it because they love a sad/sob story.
The sign says it above you, Drew - "Improv." You did it masterfully despite a heckler. And the crowd loved you for it.
Seriously. It was amazing.
I've been saying for years that you are a master of playing off the audience. Your improv is incredible! You are so freaking funny!
It absolutely absolutely blows my mind that people force you to explain this to them. Most people are good, but most people are dumb.
I'd have had security explain it to her on her way out
Same thoughts
that would mean she is the exception? most people means he woulda explain that to the whole room right
but he did for one human
so who is dumb again?
Ok.. so Ur definition of most is 50%
@andresgonzalez887 more than 50% equals most for me ya....democracy
The comment just doesnt make any sense, since he first says it blows his mind this needs explanation following with most people are dumb
But the woman in question is a single person
Getting offended at comedy is so bloody ridiculous, there’s literally no subject that can’t be used in jokes. I don’t understand why people take a joke personally.
I thought your set was great, I’d have loved to hear more but Miss I’ll make everything about me spoiled that. Subscribed and keen to find more.
I haven’t seen your stand up in a while
And I’m shocked by how much your stutter has gone away! I remember watching you on AGT and compared to now, it’s amazing. Happy I found your page! Love your material ❤
Wait that’s the same guy???? Holy shit i was like i know this voice where have i heard it before as soon as i read your stutter comment…… not in a negative or bad way…. But this guy is fucking hilarious glad i came across this video
Same here... i actualy kind of miss it lol
You're a very funny and quick witted guy. Love your work. Keep it up.
I don't think it's woke or pc but every time people get on their high horses about anything there's always going to be a problem with most jokes.
Wokenes and PC culture are what made her think her opinion mattered, and that it was appropriate to share at a comedy performance.
Reasonable people who don't like the jokes do not go to the club, or if they do, they sit silently, maybe leave.
But thinking your feelings matter so much that you are justified in disrupting a show that others paid to see... is a hallmark of woke culture.
She was woke, PC and on her high horse. Her point about respecting women was too specific for anyone to not see that she's a woke feminist who got triggered by a joke.
@@WaaDokuI guess anyone can be anything when you strawman them
@@DragonMaiden77 Sure. If you believe words have no meanings.
@@WaaDokugood point. what is the meaning of "woke" please? then do "feminist"
Tell me momma and daddy paid for front row tickets without telling me.
Years ago, I saw Sam Kinnison ranting about his divorce. Two young women got up and started to walk out. At that point the explitives were flying from Sam, making it look like he was pissed off. He was just using their exit to amp it up and it turned out to be an incredible standup act! That guy was super unique.
Sam was one of the best comedians out there. A true genius at the craft
Sam Kinnison was my favorite comedian. A true legend.
@@whoisbrucewayne17Sam!
Saw him, too! Sadly, I saw him about three months before his death. Yes, Kinison would ad lib with things he would hear from the audience or things he observed while on stage. Guy was great seeing person.
Dude!!! You handle your stutter soooo well!! I’ve stuttered for like 30 years and just use alternative words to manage.
Drew, I don't know why you made this video😂
The smooth brains aren't going to watch it, and your fans understand what reality is😂
You really don't need to explain yourself, just keep on hitting the stage with the same level of wit you always have and you'll continue to be uncancelable🔥
