I don’t even know if I am asking this correctly. I have a bunch of fonts that came with our computer that are already set for PES. When I go to bring them in I open the import patterns select folder find the font hit ok and they populate. Then I have to grab each one and drag into the work box. Sometime they will stitch out saying and sometimes it will be as a fill stitch. How can I make this simple like just being able to type it out and make sure all letters are stitching out the same?
The default for TT fonts is a satin stitch. If it a large font (over 10mm) it should be a fill although I thought you had to manually change it. I'm not sure what you mean about the dragging and dropping the fonts. I'm sure you will find the answer in one of my many tutorials about fonts.
I still can't get it to work :( I have PE design 10, with windows 10, and a true type font. I have also tried the manual method into the program filesx86 and ped design folder.
With Windows 10 there is a glitch that only a limited number of fonts show up in the pull down menu. That was not the case before the 10.3 update. Do you have a solution or work around? It will not let you scroll down.
I want to only embroider words in another language like Chinese. The only way I know how to do this is to try and digitise each letter. Is there any way I can import a language into the fonts section so it automatically digitises?
I hate to admit this, but in over 20 years I have never purchased fonts. I usually use the built in or true type fonts. Most of the time I hand digitize the fonts for logos. It is faster than trying to find an exact match. I would ask my favorite embroidery Facebook page on PE Design facebook.com/groups/168014830030121/?ref=bookmarks
I have downloaded my font, which I can see on word document and all my other programs, but I can't find it on PE Design. I've deleted PE Design and installed it again, I've deleted the font and reinstalled it, I just cannot find the font on PE Design. Does anyone know what I need to do? Thanks
I believe I had that problem once and I address it in one of my font tutorials. Couldn't tell you witch one as there are several and I did these years ago. Good luck.
@@OleensEmbroidery I will try to get back in touch with the company that I purchased this from tomorrow unless someone else sees my request and can give me some instructions. Thank you.
A full version of PED 10 with the security dongle should cost about $1,200 on sale. If you paid less it might not be what you thought it was going to be.
@@OleensEmbroidery I purchased this April, 2016. I noticed on the box that NEXT was the top grade. I also just noticed that TrueType Fonts and Custom Font Pattern Creation has a minus in the column under features, I assume indicating that is not offered?
This works great, I have one font though that shows up in the windows font folder when I copy it in there but when I reboot pe design 10 it's not in the list of fonts. It's called "shag lounge" font. Do you know why it doesn't show up?
I would go to: C drive Program files (x86) Brother PE Design 10 Font Then I would manually copy & paste it there. This has happened to me before. Let me know if it fixes it for you.
Thanks for this. Still helping people June 2020. Greetings from Sheffield UK.😀
Great video, I'm sure this will help lots of people. Thank you so much.
November 2020 and I can't thank you enough for the help!

I use to have this software but I now have windows 11 and can’t install do you have any Recommendations for windows 11
I've not heard of that problem. Cindy Hogan is Brothers computer and software expert. I have Googled her in the past for questions.

What about purchased fonts from etsy
I wouldn't know about that. I made these tutorials 10 years ago and have since retired.
Can you use any font? and the software will digitise the letters? or can you only download a font that has been digitised ?
All True Type fonts will be auto digitized by the software.
What about purchased embroidery fonts? Do I have to open them one at a time and then place them? Is there a way to load them all to pe design 10?

Amazing, thank you! I'll go through your videos and will hopefully find it! Thanks again @@OleensEmbroidery
Is there a video on how to edit the font?? Sometimes there are areas on some of the letters that do not stitch out well. How can that be edited?
Send your example to "kathleen@oleens.com" and I will take a look.
I only have the 35 fonts that came with PE Designs plus and I cannot get anymore to add to that, please help!
Sorry Laura, I am not familiar with PED Plus. I only know PED Next and 10. I haven't even started 11.

Still didn't work. 😕 guess I'll have to manually punch the word I want digitized in that font.
That is odd. Is it a TrueType font?
+OleensEmbroidery ahhh I just looked at the properties of the font and it's an open type font. Otp I'll have to find it in ttp.
+James Toussaint yeeeeeehaw I found it in ttf and it worked. Thanks for your help.
