Mr. Carlton... I finally figured out what I was doing wrong.... I was adding a period to size (1.5)the name of the font.... once I spilled it out it was fine ... and now I have added some of my purchased font I had .... many more to go... thanks again for your great instructions 😊
Phil, this video caused me to upgrade to Premier+2 Ultra software, because of your clear and concise explanation of how to import the user fonts. I had been putting it off for months because I wasn't ready to spend the $$$$. You should receive a kickback from Husqvarna for promoting their products (if you don't already).
I know you'll enjoy it. It added a ton of fantastic features. No kickback here. I was just excited about the new method and wanted to let people know. :)
I love this! You made this so much simpler. I was lead previously to believe if you made a mistake while mapping fonts, that you had to start over from the beginning. Thank you
This is my first time seeing one of your videos. It was GREAT! I'm just learning the product and this was so helpful. Thank You Phil. I just subscribed to your channel.
Thank you! This is a wonderful update. It makes the process much easier. I can't wait to start converting some of the alphabet designs I've collected over the years!
Thank you so much!! I need this information! Question: a couple of my fonts are coming in on their sides, how can I rotate them to come in correctly? Thank you.
Thank you!! I just purchased an embroidery machine and some additional fonts, you made this super easy! Question, the fonts I purchased came with 1, 1.25, 1.5, 2” sizes, do I have to load them all individually? I loaded the 1 inch size, but wasn’t sure about the rest.
darygal64 those wont resize well so you will need to load them all. I just recommend loading as you need them. I don’t have the patience to load tons at once.
Phil Carlton Ok, so when you say “won’t resize well?”... would I be better off loading the largest 2”? This way I’m sizing down and keeping the trueness? I have a ton of patience and can sit and load these with no prob lol
They are embroidery designs so it would be like resizing any purchased design. And especially at smaller sizes they probably have different underlay and densities for different sizes. With any purchased design, if you do any significant resizing at all, I recommend a test stitch out.
I have follow your instructions for the font you use as a sample .... but whe I use my files .... it doesn’t work the same wayy ... it tells me the font is not available when I go to add the letters I have been able to add the first 3 ...ABC.... but that’s all ...please help....
I tried to import a purchased font, but couldn't make it work. Is it because I have my purchased designs stored on my laptop NOT in my Premier+ 2 software?
Phil I can’t seem to get my windows arranged to that I can drag and drop in my letters. The Import Font window is smack in the middle of the screen and refuses to move anywhere. I am using windows 10 if that matters. Can you help me?
I'm on a Mac, running PP2 Ultra 12.5. I imported a purchased font following your example. I did forget to adjust the baseline on a couple of items. When I go back into font manager and have the font selected and then click on "Edit Imported Font" I get the error message that the font is currently unavailable. Any suggestions - it appears when I select in the lettering mode and type out what I want, I just can't get back in to adjust my baseline. It would let me delete the entire font but then I'd have to start all over bringing in each letter. Any suggestions?
My first guess is maybe the font you use was a half in font (like 2.5 or 3.5). Did you use a period in the name of the font? If so, that will confuse the file structure. You'll need to delete that font manually. Open a finder window. Hold down the option key then click Go and select Library. Then go VSMSoftware > PREMIER+2 > Fonts > MyFonts and you can delete that one.
@@PhilCarlton Oops, that's exactly what I did. I found the file, deleted and will start over and use a name without the period! Lesson learned, won't forget that one! Thanks!
The software won't automatically check. The easiest thing to do it just to check Smart Update every few weeks. Also - if you are subscribed to the newsletter, it will let you know when there is an update.
If you watch the video i did on updating the software, it shows where you go to make certain you are on the list to get the newsletter. As far as updates, it doesn't tell you automatically. If you are on facebook there are a lot of groups about PREMIER+ 2. You'll definitely see a lot of posts when there is an update.

Check with Gromes! I'll be there in a few weeks!
@@PhilCarlton Thank you Phil. Hope is not not full yet.
Grome's doesn't have you in their system yet and can't sigh me up. Your teaching Sew Net, will Barbara and I be able to follow with Premier2? Thanks.
Phil, what an excellent video. I especially like what you showed in the imported fonts!

Merci, très instructif.
Thank you, Phil. I am new to this software. Your videos make navigating so easy.
Diane Warde thank you! Just practice a little every day. I’m also a huge advocate of dealer lessons and, of course, Vantage.
What is Vantage?
That makes adding fonts so much easier! Great, clear tutorial. :)
Great up date and wonderful tutorial! Thanks
Thank you for sharing..👍🏼

Phil Carlton ok, got it. I jumped in with both feet LOL. Do you have recommendations for future purchases? A certain size I should be looking for?
Great Job! Thank you for taking the time...
Very very helpful. Thanks.

When I make a font larger do I need to alter the density?
Hi, can I import a picture and make it into an embroidery, like in the Brother brand software?
Thanks so much Phil!
Thank you so much....
How come the drag & drop won't work for me? I have Premier+2.
Make certain you are updated to the latest version of PREMIER+ 2. That feature was added in one of the updates.

When there is an update to the software, will it let us know or do we have to go in and look for updates, will they automatically happen?

How do I import for exemple Icelandic fonts, with this new update?
Andrea Heidberg my guess is the process is similar, but I don’t have any experience with Icelandic fonts.
How do we sign up for newsletters I never got that option when I got the software

how can I enter letters of different sizes
Because they are stitch files, you will have to import each one as a different font.
