If you have a ton of letters that you add to your designs one at a time, you can easily map your alphabets (just like any other font) and just type them in. Keep your alphabet letters organized and easy to find!
This function alone made me want to upgrade to PE 11. Great video thanks. Some of my fonts dont show up in multiple import oddly but i figured out to add them manually bit more time consuming but worth it in the long run
I have tried this in PE11 but it will not let me bring them in as a multiple only singular. Then when I have finished and saved and named them to My Fonts.. I turn the software off then open it again to use it and all I have left is the squares you get when you have not imported the font.
Love the video. I upgraded mainly for the font feature. But where are these fonts saved when you have imported them? If they are on your PC then you don't have access to them if you switch to your laptop. If they are on the dongle, then you lose them if/when you do another upgrade.
I figured out the multiple import issue after reviewing a couple of videos. I noticed that the fonts in the videos were named A.pes, B.pes, C.pes, etc. None of my files are named that way -- they are all name something like -Letter-UC-size.pes, i.e. Sweet-Margie-Font-A-UC-1and1halfinch.pes ( for 1.5 inch upper case A), Sweet-Margie-Font-A-LC-1and1halfinch.pes ( for 1.5 inch lower case A), etc. Once I renamed the uppercase file to A.pes, B.pes, etc, they loaded. I still haven't figured out how to get the lowercase version of the fonts as well as the special characters like comma, semicolon, etc. loaded, but I'll keep working on it. Just wanted to share this for people that may be reporting that they can't execute the multiple import. Renaming the files is too time consuming given the number of fonts that I have -- I may just do this in Embrilliance which has the capability to import BX files which are included with many of the fonts that I've purchased.
Wow love that function just wish i could afford to buy new software. I have pe designs 10. I also wish that embroidery software would be easier to choose from I see that on here Hatch does things that Pe designs doesn't and vice a versa as with embird and embrilliance. It would be nice if all software had the same functions it would be so much easier to choose
I watched your video over and over. I cannot get it to work for me. Where do you have your font files that you are importing? Did you name them specially before importing? I can't get it to work for me.
Sorry I’m late to the game here. I have pe design next. Will that also let you map like this? I have a thousand fonts that I have to piece together all the time and it sucks. Please help!!
I saw this video advertised a few hours ago on an embroidery site and wanted to ask some questions but I cannot find it again, so here goes. First of all, I HAVE managed to do an alphabet set, it was one that Carol Price included with her DVD set. I did that one because I tried without success before and afterwards to do another alphabet. I have Hobo font, pes files, PE Design 11 will not do the multiple import. I can however do single imports. I have 2 computers so can watch your video and do step by step, but to no avail. I have tried Harrington font too. Any suggestions?
which embroidery site had this advertised? most of the alphabets should be organized in files so it will be easy to do the multiple import. I would first suggest rebooting your computer and starting PEDesign 11 again and then try importing the folder into the program again. Make sure that you are importing the PES files.
@@OMLembroidery I was very excited to find this video because I'd been trying to figure this out in PE-11, but I'm having the same problem as posted by Margaret Rose. I've tried a few PES fonts that I've purchased from Designs by JuJu. I can load these individually, but the multiple import window is blank, so I can't select any files.
@@OMLembroidery I discovered it was the naming of each letter that is important. Look at the first font you show and then look at the one you bring in to do. So nothing to do with basic computer operation.

do you have a video that addresses how to get lower case letters to map?

I appreciate your positive attitude! Fantastic tutorial for any skill level.
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful! Thank you.

Awesome! I thought they had to be brought in one by one! I gotta get on this task!
it makes it a lot easier.
Wow. That looked so easy . Is there a way to have the top of the screen (tool bar) clearer? Looks blurry

Thank you again for all you do.
I have pe 11 and this doesn't work for me either..I can do individual..not multiple

Thanks ❣️ Does this work with PE10?
hmmmm, I am not sure? I don't have access to 10 since I have upgraded!
Hi, is there a way to change the color of the mapped fonts? I cannot change the color of the mapped text.

I wish Hatch 2 would do this.
maybe one day?
This only works for PE Design 11, 10 doesn't have this option?
I don't have access to PE Design 10 since I have upgraded to 11, so I am not able to check.
hi great can hatch do this as well?
no, not as far as I know. Embird and Embrilliance can though.
Is this something I can also do on E4?
no. E4 is more of a commercial embroidery software, and generally commercial embroiderers will use their own fonts or the built in fonts :)
Thank You
You are very welcome, I am glad you are enjoying the videos! thanks for watching!
My fonts aren't showing up even tho they're mapped..I just get red boxes
I cant get the standard characacter height to open up, its greyed out and not functioning, What do I do?
not sure - maybe you can ask in the OML Embroidery University facebook group so you can add more to your question.
