Hi first off awesome tutorial and you’re a fantastic presenter.
May I ask is a zig zag stitch mean the same thing as a satin stitch to this program ? Some programs distinguish the two as different stitch types so this is why I ask. Thank you in advance.

Yes a satin stitch is just a close together zig zag. So some programs refer to them as the same. Thanks for the kind words, they are much appreciated.

Is there a way to change number of stitches in an embroidery design, eg a purchased embroidery font, so that it can be resized and stitches reduced (or increased) to fit the new size?
I have a number of purchased fonts but find even the smallest size is too big.
    Thank you

A purchased font is just like a purchased design. If you convert to out line and ungroup it, each component will appear in sewing attributes when clicked on and you can change the stitches. If it has only one color you won’t have to ungroup it.

How do you change stitch type on imported fonts?

    • @enchantingrosemary8776

If you are talking about a true type font you would treat the same way as the included fonts but if you mean someone else’s embroidery design, you treat it like an embroidery design. You have to convert to outline and then I group and then you can change the fill and outline.

Are you trying to bring in an embroidery font or a computer font? Is it in the software or from somewhere else? And when you say PE design studio do you mean layout and editing?
