Maricris R. I'm sorry they have eczema what do u use on their skin? N how old are they? Obviously my advice is to not go down the steroid cream route but if u must, only use for 2 weeks and STOP. N never take the tablets!

Zainab Danjuma They are 12 & 7 they had really bad when they were younger. I was using the steroid cream at first however, I would best describe as Mother's intuition I felt the excema comes back worse when I stopped so I just did my research and it was bad because the flair up was terrible & the kids & I powered through and now we are just diligent with Cerave cream right after shower while their skin is still wet which is the dermatologist's recommendation. Phew! But I know excema is there for life so I like watching your videos and now trying aquaphor. 😊 P.S. Please forgive me if my English is not as coherent. English is my second language. Also, our first doctor said that excema is an Asian gene and my husband is German so he jokingly said it's my fault which still made me feel terrible. The mother's guilt is real. Anyways, have a nice day!!!

So happy I found you in September, if I remember correctly...Oct?
    Congrats!!!!!!!
I thank you for being you. Love your channel, and I understand a lot of what you go through and feeling especially. I felt like a hideous monster! I'm slowly getting better, but the discolored skin is still visible, still have missing hair, still scratch, still peel, and still have eczema...lol
Happy to hear about the Lady's making a documentary. I believe it would be an awesome voice for all sufferers out there, without their own voices being heard.
    Great idea.
Doctors' need to stop, think, and listen about this, too.
Keep up the good work Everyone.

I've been using steroid creams for a whole year now and feel like I cant use anything on my face to help it calm since small tiny bumps seem to appear due to trying to get rid of the little white flakes and rough texture on my skin..allergic reaction, maybe? I've always had sensitive skin, but now it's obviously to a whole another level. I wake up to flakes every morning and when I try looking at my skin very closely and stretching it out with my hand, it looks very scaly. I've tried some natural remedies but nothing has helped. I don't know what to do and most of time it's pretty red.

Lol sick of hearing a lot of things. Yes. People don’t shut up until they see your skin up close before your shower and after you’ve woken up.
I went back to work after 2 years of dealing with cushings, adrenal failure and red skin, and the first thing someone asked was “hey you look darker, did you have a good vacation?!”
    -_____________-“
And it’s okay to want to look normal, I can’t go outside until I’ve showered, and removed all the dead skin and out on my creams. I had terrible blepharitis in high school and I wore sunglasses 24/7. Do what you gotta do.
You have to also keep in mind we all have autoimmune issues, so you need to work on your body inflammation which includes a very clean and specified diet, exercise, stress control and sleep. The skin is just a symptom of the bigger issue.

Zainab, have you heard about Dupixent. Am an extreme case of ezema just like you. Nothing helped. I went vegan a year ago, started on dupixent 2 months back.. amazing results. No more iching, no more flares.. please talk to your dermatologist about dupixent.

    • @iambeezee
      @iambeezee  6 лет назад +2

I've heard of it. I don't think my eczema is that extreme to be honest. Glad its working for you, but after the whole thing with steroids, I don't see myself depending on yet another drug for the rest of my life.
Just like steroids when they came out, everyone thought they were best thing ever.... until years later people express that they are having problems. I believe that about dupixent. Its such a new drug! Nobody has been on it for 10, 20, 30 years so how can anyone say that there won't be complications further down the line? Its a serious drug too, you are changes your cells on a molecular level!
If your eczema was really really bad and Dupixent has given you your life back, thats great! I can't fault anyone for wanting a normal life. But in my opinion I'm just not willing to be on a drug for the rest of my life. And going vegan, eating only natural, process free foods, wouldn't you just want to be all natural? And live without chemicals?
I hope you don't think I'm being rude, I genuinely do want to know.
