i honestly HATE the new formula. the dewy finish feels sticky and tacky on my skin, and i feel disgusting within an hour. the old formula was my ultimate holy grail, and it actually made me love the sunscreen step. now it's a necessary evil again. i'm hoping that missha notices a drop in sales with the new formula and goes back to the original matte finish. if you ever do find a sunscreen with a similar finish, please let us know!
Sorry to hear that. It's a shame that they've done this as I too really enjoyed the previous formula. Either they do that OR introduce a new SPF that is basically the previous formula (or something similar to it), aimed at Oily Skins *fingers crossed*
@@moopmoop1040 Exactly exactly! It was one of the few good SPFs us Oily Skins had so it's frustrating, but hopefully Missha will do right by us once again soon *fingers crossed* And if I do find something that is the perfect dupe for the Aqua sun gel, I WILL MAKE SURE to talk about it lol :)
This channel is underrated! I still read your blogs from time to time! Sucks that the new formula may be unappealing to some, the OG counterpart is always the better alternative!
Omg thank you EVER so much! Really appreciate it :) I know I know, such a shame! And it's UNBELIVABLE how difficult it's been to find a dupe! Hopefully Missha release the OG formula but perhaps in a new format, labelled as a Sunblock FOR oily skins so we can appreciate lol! :)
Thank you so much for the review! Did you by any chance try the pink version? I have normal skin and love the pink version, but this version right now is almost 40% off so I was thinking on stocking up if it is worth it. Please let me know! Many thanks
@@muasfeaturingmakeup8561 Ok understood! I have not tried the pink version (I typically go for SPF50 if I can). However, after looking at the ingredients; I could imagine that the texture of it is similar to the blue (previous) version which has a lightweight, comfortable texture!
It should be OK. If you are worried then you can always patch test just to make sure there isn't any irritation! This is a chemical (organic) sunblock so I only wouldn't recommend if you are sensitive to organic sunblocks and not physical (inorganic) sunblocks 👍🏼
Hello thanks for asking! I currently love the L'Oreal Revitalift SPF 50 Sun Fluid! My Full Swatches + Review is here: myskincareregime.com/2023/04/07/review-loreal-revitalift-clinical-vitamin-c-spf-50-daily-anti-uv-fluid/ However I also have some other favourites in my yearly round-up here: myskincareregime.com/2019/09/20/my-current-skincare-favourites/ I hope that helps!! :)
Hello thank you for the suggestion! Just in case you have to wait a while for a review I wanted to quickly let you know here; Just looking a the ingredients, I'm sure it has a smooth liquid texture and lightweight finish (good for oily skins). Also based on the Filters; this should not provide a white cast. Personally I always recommend and try to go for SPF50+ PA++++ formulas so as this is 45, it is up to your discretion :) I hope this helps!! xx
Great question! Applying the Sunblock after moisturisers reduces the chance of tampering with the Sun protection layer so please apply spf at the end :)
Hello thanks for the question! The older formula contains Alcohol and the newer formula contains fragrance, so it depends if you are sensitive to either of those.
I know I know, I'll always be sad about it :( I agree, they could have easily called it Mattifying Sun Gel and made a different SPF for dry skins :( I really hope they bring it back in an updated format! In the meantime however I recommend the L'Oreal SPF50 Fluid if you want to check out the review and see the texture: myskincareregime.com/2023/04/07/review-loreal-revitalift-clinical-vitamin-c-spf-50-daily-anti-uv-fluid/
