@@angelayoung2879 There's so much wrong with this. The "Mario vs Sonic" fiasco died decades ago, so comparing them should stop too. Then came Oil Ocean, Lava Reef, Hidden Palace, Metallic Madness (One of my favourites in the game) and Titanic Monarch. I got Sonic Mania Plus and loved Mighty, Ray and Encore Mode, however, I failed to get all the chaos emeralds after completing both Mania and Encore modes... and then I realised that the Heavy King was the true villain behind it all as he stole the Phantom Ruby at the last second and juggled the Chaos Emeralds in his hands in front of me!
Ah, my favorite song of Sonic 1. Hell one of my favorite Sonic themes in general. Not a fan of the level itself but the theme is so somber sounding I fall in love with it the first time I heard it and I can’t explain why. Marble Zone was never my favorite Sonic zone. I mean, yeah, in a game where the whole premise is “go fast,” an entire zone mainly focused on platforming, waiting, and timing is kind of a bad idea. But this music. This is single-handedly one of the best songs in Sonic 1, only barely being beaten by Star Light.
