I enjoy playing on my PS Vita in 2024 this system is so underrated and a blast to play. I use mine for GBC SNES N64 Emulation for the most part as well as playing some of the PS vita Exclusives fun handheld but even better modded nice to see others still enjoying this console.
same here I use mine as my main gaming system underrated device wish it got more support from sony

@@Gloryboyquan maybe some day with all the new growth and revitalization of handheld gaming, Sony might dip their toes back into the pool and join the party again with a new real handheld console, not a streaming device.

man, i wish i had a vita. i already have a modded psp-2004 and love it, but the vita is so ahead of its time
A modded PSP is also such a great device to have! I think you can even do gameboy to GBA emulation on them.
@@realai581 yeah I love playing Pokemon fire red on it. as a person who played it on a real GBA once, I can confidently say that pokemon on the PSP feels like playing on the GBA but better

These past few years have been the perfect time to purchase these handhelds (3DS, VITA) because of the community support. Where Nintendo and Sony have killed these handhelds, the community serves as their lifeline.

That’s the sad truth. But I couldn’t agree more. Thank goodness for the brilliant minds in the community who have helped with modding and guides and tutorials to be able to get the most out of these old handhelds
i just ordered a ps vita 2001 bundle off of ebay for $155. comes with assassins creed III, uncharted and a mlb game as well with the original ps vita travel case.

I definitely can do that!😁. Enjoy your vita, if you plan to mod it I highly recommend getting the adapter for a micro sd card so you don't have to worry about needing the proprietary PSVITA storage cards from Sony. I added the adapter card link on amazon in the description.

Honestly if you're ever wanting to get a similar experience again, definitely go the route of a modded PSVITA, so much more you can do with it, AND still play PSP games. I think it holds up great still in 2024.😄
What is for this “Package installer” with yellow suitcase as icon?
If I remember correctly, there are some mods and some software that need to be installed so that you can install them special ways. I only used it a couple of times when using guide videos.
Just got one so I can mod it, was deciding on vita or psp but I went with the vita 2000. Can’t wait lol.

I have a couple questions for you if u don’t mind. Example Do You Ever get file corruption and how to you remove it permanently. second question can you download every ps 1 psp and ps vita game on PS Vita like All-Star battle Royale or every LEGO game and where do download load them for free?
So for me as far as I’ve had it modded I’ve not had any issues with file corruption. So that I am not sure.
Second, yes you can pretty much get every PS1, PSP, and Vita game. If you have a modded VITA there’s an app called PKGJ, that’s kind of like Hshop on the 3DS. Honestly though I don’t recommend that because that would be piracy….
But do as you will with this information.

I'm going to mod my ps vita soon. Do i have to upgrade its storage ? Is it a manadatory thing ?
It’s not. It depends on a couple of things.
If you do not want to buy the Sony proprietary storage for the PSVITA, I highly recommend getting the adapter for the microSD card and getting like a 64 GB or 128 GB microSD card and upgrade your storage and do that mod as well.
I did 256 GB and it definitely is overkill but at the same time it’s nice to have a lot of storage on it.

I found a bunch of N64 roms in vpk format for running on VIta. I'll find the link if your interested. Its a cool bit extra games to add to Vita's home screen.

@@realai581 hey lol, gotta say that im keeping the same mentality, ps vita as a "sony handheld" and my 2ds as a "nintendo handheld" lol if that makes sense, playing pokemon on og nintendo hardware just feel correct, same with sony games on the vita

Not sure about SNES, but for N64 you can use the software, DeadalisX64, the RUclipsr RetroGameCorps has a guide on how to do that on his channel. He’s got amazing guides to all kinds of retro modding. That’s how I do mine.

So I made a short about a mod you can use to get it translated to English. If you’ve got a modded VITA you can easily do the mod. I believe the channel I found who had the guide was CyberTokyo
I’m about to mod my vita I bought it and it has been modified or something already cuz when I power it on some weird loop logo pops up

@@Yuulioodarealest888 I would try modding it again, but also try and hard reset the VITA. If you look on RUclips I’m sure you can find a guide. The channel “HardReset.Info” has a guide on how to hard reset PSVITA. Hopefully you can get to the settings. I’m not sure if there’s a physical way to do a reset.

Honestly considering you can play PSP games on the VITA I’d say the VITA, because you don’t only get access to both PSP and PSVITA, you can also emulate more advanced older consoles on VITA,

oh dude you can record your vita screen just few plugins just mod the ps vita i cfw my vita i can record lets plays series from the vita half of the ps1 games i play will be on the vita or ps1 classic .

Yes and no. Technically no. You can stream PS3 to your PSVITA, but on the VITA you can play PSVITA, PSP, and PSOne games.
