What Is The Scorpion King (2002) About?

I think they were friends in real life.
They were, actually. And there's a funny story about a blooper that takes place in this fight. At the point where Rock does that chain of elbow strikes to Michael's face, in one take Michael leaned forward by mistake when he should have leaned backward, so the tip of Rock's elbow caught him right in the jaw. It legit knocked him out for about five seconds, and the WHOLE set went silent. Fortunately their friendship outweighed the elbow, but Michael ended up playing a prank on Rock to get back at him by making it look like his face had completely swollen up as a result of the elbow hit.

Mathayus was supposed to assassinate Cassandra but he didn’t do what he was paid and assigned to do is what made Balthazar resent him. It took a fight for Mathayus to restrain Balthazar and convince him that he was on their side and he will stand up against Memnon that Balthazar finally accepted him as an ally. Mathayus had already given his allies a big advantage by not killing Cassandra but winning her over to their side.
