- This is their best selling watch through the official store on AliExpress....I don't understand why because it's not their best as far as I'm concerned but there must be something about this watch that makes it so appealing.

WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use RUclipss lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and RUclips deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

I think that the sub-dial is actually the esthetic kryptonite of this watch and the reason why it sells so well. It sits perfectly on the dial, and the splash of red color adds a lot. The dial is beautiful for my taste. I actually cried "wow!" on 0:55.
I bought a bronze watch for this summer.. I am very happy with this watch.. everyone should have a bronze watch in their collection.. then if it's as beautiful as the one you presented, even better
The gmt function can be used for tracking the tides.. so most water men will buy a gmt over a dive watch. That's a good-looking watch. Thank you for sharing
I do love those 24 hs complications, it’s easier to set on time every time you take it out of the watch box
It's a very nice watch Gary. I do like the dial texture too. There are only 3 reasons as far as I know for a 24 hour dial. A natural disaster of astronomical proportion or secondly a nuclear war where you have to live underground for many months, with the 24h dial, you'll know if it's day or night. The 3rd more mundane reason is you're on a gambling bender in a Las Vegas casino where there are no clocks, and no windows to the outside world and can easily lose track of time. They even serve breakfast 24 hours a day so that's not even an indication ! 😂 So with the subdial you'll know if you're losing your money during the day or the night !
LOL! But dude, if you're living under ground in a cave. How are you going to set it the first time, or if it stops because you had to take it off while fighting CHUD - cannibalistic humanoid underground dwellers?
When I don't wear a watch for several days I like to know that when it stopped it was on AM or PM for ease of winding and setting it.
Like the bronze and black color of the dial. But that crown looks huge, at lease compared to other watches. Thank for the review, helping me lean more about watches.
It could mean that people are buying simple watches to tell the time. Just that. No need for rotating bezel, 3rd GMT hand or multiple pushers. For this one bronze and 24h dial is simple addon.
And I personally don't like it 😅 (bronze and that huge turn knob are main reasons).
I don't dislike the 24 hour sub dial. Overall it looks pretty nice to my eyes. I really like the textured dial and the hands. Crown is bigger than I prefer and I probably wouldn't go for the bronze.
Think it's twofold, one it's unusual with the bronze case but second and more importantly it's a solid and cohesive design.
A lot of Ali Express watches have something that is done really well but often another part of the watch let's it down. The hands don't really go with the face, the band doesn't really jive with the watch or something stands out like a sore thumb.
With this one nothing seems out of place, the dial is well detailed and hands perfect. Even the sub dial works with date complication.
I'd prefer a stainless version but have to admit this is a great looking watch 😃

It's big... but I love it ! Especially in bronze which is a great option in between stainless steel and PVD gold 👌 The 24h subdial, even if it is almost unnecessary, is a great esthetical touch to my eyes. I have one on my Orient Bambino V8 and I love that style. Thanks for the review 👍
I have the Aquatico Aventurine Dial Pilot you reviewed earlier in the year and it's a cracking little watch(actually not that little lol) ,now i,m sorely tempted by this having been looking at their other pieces while not wanting a diver this would different enough from the one I already have
This was my first Aquatico to buy and I did it because I am absolutly in Flieger Watches. From Laco over San Martin to Escapement Time I own a lot and this one is a little special with the sub dial and the structured dial. I still like it a lot. And of course its well priced🙂
My guessing why the watch with this small 24-hour complication is so popular, is because there a touch IWC pilot chrono to it, without being a direct copy. The store by the way doesn't seem to sell to the EU, the watch is displayed as unavailable to me.
Try setting te upper selector on the page to your country, and then search for Aquatico watch.
its a look and material (bronze) that many people like and that there arent many good option a that price point, unlike dive watches

I mean, it's a pilot watch of diver specs and style of dreaa, easy read of flieger, style of dress and toughness of dive watch, it's 3 in 1, it's a damn bargain
If i didnt already have a Laco type B flieger, and if i were.looking for a type A flieger, this would be on the top of my.list. I love a huge flieger, and those leaf hands are awesome.

Is there a movement with a 24 hour sub-register that is independently adjustable? Automatic or quartz, it would be a pretty cool GMT alternative
Looks nice. 43mm for this style of watch to me, is a bit big. Prefer 40mm but thats for my mid sized wrist so understand for those bigger wristed may be ok size.
very nice watch, i really like it. Only suggestions are a color matched date wheel. I love the 24H sub dial and date combination, very useful for setting the date quickly
1) BEAUTIFUL! The bronze/copper case is neat, and I bet especially people with an affinity for seafaring like this one. The GREEN dial is really pretty!
2) That 24hr dial is VERY useful. This whole am/pm thing is RUBBISH! It's for people too st00pid to figure out a 24 hour clock.
I have always had my digital watches set for 24hr display, and now that my eyes are too old to read digies anymore, I splurged for a Glycine Airman Purist, with a 24 hour dial and pure 24 hour calibre! It has no 12 hour hand at all, and I LOVE it!
i have this watch and the quality is excellent. the 24h sub dial is like a lot of complications on a lot of watches, we don't really need them or use them. let's face it none of us need a watch these days, we buy them because we like the look of them, simple as that!. i'm wearing a Zodiac sea cron today, not because i need a chronograph to time something but because i love the look of it

It's a bit to big for me but I think it's a well conceived piece, the 24h sub dial is not that big of a deal in a world full of divers and chronos who's features go mostly unused.

I work nights and have for many years, now. I have worked in facilities that had no windows and it was impossible to tell day or night easily, so a 24hr complication is great for those of us that this applies to.
Too many people are way too boned up on stupid shit that shouldnt matter so much.

I absolutely love this watch I did not know about this brand but I like pilot and military watches I also like gold watches this watch is now definitely on my wishlist .a good World War II pilot watch should be quite large and have the onion Crown
Could be good if you live at the North or South Pole, and need to know if it's AM or PM.
There are LOTS of places, where winter nights get long. Coupled with cloudy weather, you take a nap, wake up, and say "WTF, is it 07:11 or 19:11 ???". Being retired and having a totally irregular sleep cycle after decades of shift work, I NEED 24 hour clocks in my life, period!
I mean, they don't have a Mr Reef meeting a Mr Tiger, but I'm sure their heritage is okay.

For the price you are getting a lot of watch. There is way too much crown though. Overall it is too big me but a rather nice looking watch. Good review 👍
Why would they want their best selling watch to be advertised by you? I think it's one that does not sell well and they have a lot in stock of those. Oversized is out and bronze is too. But I like it, the price is OK.
Its not to your taste but clearly a lot of people from all over the world prefer it especially as the catchment area is international. Just goes to show that taste vary hugely over the globe.
People just like a bigger cheap watch with a "cool" dial Gary, despite all the attempts to make us all believe we need a 36mm watch. That is what I think that could be a reason.

It seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis. 300m WR and called AQUATICo does gel well with the flieger vibe. I love a good bronze watch but this one has me confused 🤔 Why would a numbered watch (something of 99 pieces) be their best seller?

DO NOT DEAL WITH BODERRY! Ordered a watch in May, received notice it shipped May 30, check on order 6/18 told should get a shipping update by 6/21, check back 6/21 and order has not even been built. Now I'm having a tough time getting a refund. I don't deal with liars and I suggest you don't either.
It took me nearly two months to get my sea turtle. They sell them on Amazon now, so you could go that route. But, it takes forever for them to get you a shipping email and then it even takes longer for it to get to you.
They all do it! Waiting on a watch from San Martin official store. Told it was shipped on 12/6, tracking all over the place between China and my local courier. Turns out it still hasn't been made let alone shipped.
Seems a bit like crowd funding.
The shipping is snail like but the two watches I did get from them are both great. The skeleton has a 4 Hz movement with a very nice smooth sweep and the Admiral GMT is a full titanium 200m diver, fantastic watch

Ugly watch and with a odd dial layout. That white date wheel just doesn't look good. They should have made a black date wheel with the text colour matching the lume. I don't mind having grain on dials on some watches, but this just looks like cheap plastic with an imitation leather effect. I agree with you Garry, they have much better watches than this one.
