Love this band and this performance was so good! Thanks for watching!
Guitarist here, it's stupid difficult to play that intro with accuracy. I can fool a non-musician, but to match Nancy is tough. And the band is a constant, not a "backup band".
Also if you weren't aware, Heart just announced that the remainder of their 2024 tour has been cancelled while Ann undergoes cancer treatment. Send her some good energy. She's one of the best to ever grace a stage.
say it aint so 😶🌫
Oh no! Thanks for sharing and hopefully everything turns out ok! 😞
I am very sorry to hear that. She has one of the greatest voices in rock and roll.
In the 70s every guy alive had a crush on these 2
Bra, This is the band ❤. No substitute !
Straight 🔥🔥🔥
yes! fave is magic man and their cover of the immigrant song (Led Zep )
Midnight always has great shows. Nice one SH ☘️🇺🇲
This is a great rock band that started in the 70's. Ann Wilson has one of the most powerful female voices. And her sister Nancy can play a mean guitar. They have had so many great hits such as "Barracuda", "Magic Man", "What About Love", "Never", "Dog & Butterfly", "These Dreams", "Alone" etc.
Magic man. You will absolutely love.
A must see performance:
Heart - Alone/These Dreams (live from Seattle)
Nancy never get’s the recognition she deserves as a vocalist.
To watch them sing in their 60s is awesome to see
Totally agree. My favorite live performance by them.
Ann n Nancy
❤❤❤❤❤
my husbands favorite band
@@lavender_granny They are awesome! Thanks for hanging out! 😃
Barracuda is an amazing song. Also the 80’s If Looks Could Kill. Two great songs. Great band.
DUDE i saw heart about 10 years ago and it was FREAKING AWESOME BRO ! i was 10 when this came out
Let’s gooooo! I bet that was so EPIC!
Dog and Butterfly flies under the radar but is worth a listen
Appreciate the suggestion! Never heard of that tune! 🎶
My grandfather worked for Boeing in Seattle, my uncle who was a studio guitarist told me once he jammed with the sisters once when they were just starting out
Wonder if he knew Bill Withers. He would be a great addition to this channel.
You should react to Gretchen Wilson covering Barracuda
1976 was the first album, Dreamboat Annie, which is a song on the record
Unique, inspired creative artists is what we had back then and I'm so fortunate to have grown up with all this music 💜
Ain’t we! I was ten years old when the 70s began and 20 when they ended. Went away to school -900 miles away-in ‘75 at age 15. So many sea changes in a young man’s life in that magical decade.
Mistral Wind is a banger.
There is another performance of "Crazy On You" on line with a guitar intro by Nancy that is about three minutes longer. I think it's dual named with the name of the guitar riff and "Crazy On You". This was a good performance, but it is a shorter version of Nancy's full intro for this song than she usually played in live shows... you can find that version online if you want to check it out.
Appreciate that! Definitely have to look into it!
I agree, I was hoping it was that one then I seen the midnight special and was just a tad disappointed.
@@bobdillashaw4360 I’ll have to find that one and check it out! 👍🏻
Saw them in 1976 first row center stage for $8.00. Holy hell it was incredible. They are great
Wow! Love that you saw them live and even better that it was $8.00! 😳
From their inception, Heart had the same lineup as a band; Ann and Nancy Wilson, Roger Fisher (lead guit), Howard Leese (keyboards, guit. and mandolin), Steve Fossen (bass guit) and Michael Derosier (drums). This was their roster until their 5th studio album, Bebe Le Strange, when Roger Fisher was asked to leave due to "unreconcilible differences". They went from 5 to 4 members until their 80s comeback when they changed the lineup completely with only the Wilson sisters as the original remaining members.
I had my ticket to see Heart in 1980 in Salina, Kansas. I had planned to be pressed against the stage directly in front of Nancy. 🙂 I was almost always front row. It’s a totally different concert when you’re practically on the stage. I was right in front of Eddie Van Halen in 1980. Sadly, Heart cancelled the concert and my dreams of Nancy were shattered! 😂 I did see them around 2005 in San Antonio, Texas with Journey, and Cheap Trick.
Oh no!!! But at least you got to see them later! Thanks for sharing! 😄
Excellent song choice😂❤
The Midnight Special was from 1973 to 1978
Great song and reaction
Really appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed it!
Checkout a band called *KIX*
that originated from my parts of Maryland Frederick and Hagerstown areas !
COLD BLOOD & BLOW MY FUSE
to start with 😎💪🤙
A couple more quick notes. I just subscribed 👍. (Like your RUclips style). And, since you are a drummer, if you haven’t reacted to Led Zeppelin’s Live Kashmir performance from Celebration Day 2007 it’s a must. Jason Bohnam, the son of Zeppelins original drummer John Bohnam, is the drummer for this one off concert and even uses his father’s drum kit for the concert. 20 million people attempted to get seats for the 20,000 seat venue with tickets being sold lottery style. Amazing performance.
I heard that is a banger! Definitely on the list for sure! Thanks for the sub and so glad you are enjoying the content!
I don't know exactly when this aired, but I'm pretty sure I watched it. I saw them on August 16th, 1977, at Convention Hall in Asbury Park, NJ and they didn't disappoint. Here's another live performance with some backstage stuff and Nancy playing a longer intro.

Thanks so much! Definitely have to check it out!
Album review- Dream Boat Annie
In my opinion, the 1978 live version of this song is the best. Check it out and see what you think.
Definitely have to check it out! Appreciate it!
Ann is a goddess! ❤❤❤ Have you checked out their tribute to Zeppelin at the Kennedy Center? They played Stairway To Heaven in front of the legends themselves. It give me chills every time I watch it. 🔥🔥🔥
For me, having tired of the original, that night at Kennedy Center has surpassed the original - again, for me. 64 yrs old here.
We actually covered on the channel but it’s been a while! It was so EPIC!
@@setonhillstudios And when I go look at it, I'll prob see that I already watched and liked it. Thanks brother!
@@tonydelapa1911 I totally agree. It's a legendary song, but just like Free Bird, after 1,000 listens, I just can't do it anymore.
@@setonhillstudios i will find it. Thanks!
They say that Nancy is one of the greatest female guitar players, but I beg to differ, she is one of greatest guitarist period. The entire band is Heart, but the focus on the gals, but sadly over-shadowed the rest of them who were outstanding in their own right. By the time they went into the 80's and re-inventing themselves into a hair band, most of the band had left. But it's the 70's that they were at their iconic best.
This tis the lineup that recorded the band’s first four albums. That’s by far the best lineup that band ever had. In the second half of the 70s Roger Fisher, their lead guitar, was very highly regarded. In my opinion, even tough they ended up having great success in the mid 80´s, their music never had the same originality or fire after he left. I slowly lost interest after his departure. In my mind mind Dog And Butterly is one of the best album of the second half of the 70’s. Fisher is fire on that album, as well as the rythym section.
Nancy. Needs our thoughts and prayers as she begins her cancer treatment
For sure! Hopefully she will get through it and be able to get back to what she loves! 🙏🏻
you got your white monster bro? i do lol
You know it! 🤣🤣
Awesome band great composers they got fucked by management no that was a band Led zeppelin influence big time
So sad but their talent is undeniable! Absolutely amazing!
That’s Luke Skywalker playing lead guitar……the musicians were all heavy involved with the sisters…until they had enough with them ….and they all got fired from the band…..the band makeup has changed almost every upcoming concert tour since the original band makeup….
He did look like a Jedi over there! 🤣
…….you should really use headphones ! A lot of viewers won’t watch unless you show your serious about the true sound of the music thru a good set of headphones.
Generally, I agree but he is working in a working home studio. It seems to be working as well or better than headphones for him.
@@tonydelapa1911 Very true. I am listening through 2 pairs of studio grade monitors that are used to mix albums on. They cover the whole frequency range nicely
@@MikeOstrowski-iq8wf Listening through studio monitors that are professional grade. Much more accurate than many headphones out there.
@@setonhillstudios ……did not know you had quite the setup !! Most reactors don’t ! My bad 🫤
@@MikeOstrowski-iq8wf No worries at all. Thanks for hanging out!
