When you have a relentless, guitar-driven groundwork backed by a powerful, angelic voice, punctuated by melodic interludes, you can't go wrong. Truly timeless.
I'm always happy to see reactors do this version that starts off with the acoustic part. It's a great concert video. Of course, the studio version is immaculate, and what you want for your playlist, but it's good to see the band as they were.
There are some really talented women out there today that actually can sing and play instruments. Check out Dea Matrona (Orlaith Forsythe and Mollie McGinn) who sing, harmonize and swap between guitar and bass. Also, like Heart they are equally good rocking out or playing acoustic. Also, hard rock sisters The Warning from Mexico, Texas Blues Rocker Ally Venable, Canadian Blues Rocker Madison Galloway and of course the Lovell sisters in Larkin Poe. All of these women rock, of course they are not at Heart's level, but they have talent and don't use gimmicks.
@@VinE83656 There are always talents out there, but they are not as famous as the legendary Wilson sisters, and perhaps not at the same level as you say, currently there are many very good groups, but they are in the shadows for a very small audience but we know that it is high-flying music
@@yanki198 don’t get me wrong, I am not putting the bands I mentioned at the same level as Heart. You’re right the talent in rock does not get the same attention it did years ago. That is a big reason that I try and drop the names of bands and artists that I think could use more attention. Also, the bands I mentioned are pretty authentic and not manufactured. Sure, they probably use overdubs in the studio and maybe a backing track live but they play their own instruments and even when stripped down to acoustic sets you can see the talent.
@@VinE83656 At no time do I doubt their talents, even though they have technological possibilities to disguise their shortcomings with autotune and similar, but they do not have the focus of attention like Heart had at the time, perhaps also because of how innovative they were, in these times it is difficult to innovate in my opinion. There are countless bands that have not been carried away by market trends and honor their past influences with personal touches.
@@yanki198 There is still a market for rock, but it doesn’t compete with Pop and Hip Hop etc. However, I think that is kind of a good thing. The rock bands that don’t follow the trends are the ones that are worth watching. One could argue that as rock got more mainstream and more commercial and corporate it lost some of its soul. The rock bands most people hear today are too commercialized. Blues rock is my current genre of choice, still down to earth, still includes guitar solos and not gimmicky. There is still rawness and hunger. In my life, I have found usually my least favorite albums from my favorite bands are usually their most commercially successful.
Ola, you need to react to a tribute Heart did for Led Zeppelin at the Kennedy Center Honors. They performed none other than "Stairway to Heaven" and it will blow your mind. John Bonham's son, Jason plays drums. You will see Robert Plant moved to tears. I am every time I watch it. And you're right, Ann and Nancy are badass. And please, more Led Zep reactions.
Great reaction. As suggested by several others below, you have to listen to Heart doing Stairway to Heaven, as part of the Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Led Zeppelin. Decades after this performance they were still selected to perform Stairway to Heaven, in front of Led Zeppelin, President Obama, and a national tv audience! Still rocked the house.
Heart is just a fantastic band live I saw them many times Barracuda is a classic. I am also a huge Yes fan so thanks for reacting to my teenage favorites.
Try HEART - Magic Man (1976 live performance). Heart's original band line-up (as shown here) is my favorite of theirs. You will find hidden gem after hidden gem within their first 5 studio albums. I do admit to having a strong bias to the progressive rock genre style. Heart underwent some line-up changes over time. They evolved from 70's progressive rock to more of an 80's commercialized pop rock style. They had some strong hits in the 80's but each album as an entire compilation didn't pack quite the same punch.
By the way, spot-on connecting Yes' "Roundabout" with "Crazy on You"! I never thought of that before but you are right -- there is some guitar-riff stuff that has some commonality! Nice call!
Thanks You for keep in mind one of the numbers of Heart. They have some songs with a high quality of music. Some friends recommend you songs to react. Please make it, you'll be surprised in a good sense🎉.
Ann Wilson, Linda Ronstadt & Tanya Tucker. What do they have in common? In the 70's as a teenager-young adult, they were all posters on the wall of my bedroom.
Hi Ola this song is true story about the lead singer and her manager or producer not sure and a relationship. Thanks Ola great way to start a day with the reaction from you❤😊.
YESSS… This is the performance that made Nancy Wilson one of my FAV guitarists. SUGGESTION… To HEAR NANCY WILSON SING: She sings lead on the song… “THESE DREAMS” There’s a GORGEOUS LIVE PERFORMANCE: At SEATTLE in 2002 (Then, you can see the sisters as they look nowadays!) I think it’s the BEST version of this song, even BETTER than the studio recording! BTW, just FYI… Heart is TOURING RIGHT NOW!🤩 P.S. It’s funny, I’ve been told I look like Ann Wilson, TOO. Only… now I look like the modern-day older version of her… but that’s okay! (And, I hadn’t thought about it till now… but if I were to show you a pic of myself, Ola, when I was younger… we do look like we could be related!?)😄
Nobody has yet to reacted to Minstral Wind, the Heart masterpiece from their masterpiece album Dog & Butterfly. Bassist Steve Fossen and drummer Michael Derosier have band called Heart to Heart that play in the NW. Lead Guitarist Roger Fisher still performs as solo artist. Guitarist/Keyboardist has worked with Bad Company's singer Paul Rodgers who has also performed with Queen
Do see them at the Kennedy Center Honors, doing Led Zep, in front of the three surviving members of Led Zep. It is a must-watch. You can't go wrong with Heart.
Hello Olavity! Try... Neil Young... Heart of Gold... just a man... a guitar... and his harmonica. Enjoy! PS - your hair looks really nice! PPS - Yes is my favorite band! PPPS - if you really want to go off on the deep end... try Parliament Funkedelic! LOL! You'll love it!
I love heart. I really love some of their songs. But like I'm going to leave your channel cause I have been waiting very patiently for you reaction to Robin Gibb of the BeeGees which you couldn't wait to do, but you have avoided him like the plague. For some who loves Robin you certainly don't act the part. I'll get it one week. No Robin, I'm gone. There are plenty of you guys out there who react with respect
40-50 years on and... Ann Wilson and Stevie Nicks will still never be matched. Kinda sad, really. Don't get me wrong, there are some great female singers nowadays. They don't ROCK, though.
Hey how come you haven't listened to or watch Heart's videos for the songs: 'Dog & Butterfly' or 'Barracuda' both are epic songs...I left the links to both videos below🤘🤘 ruclips.net/video/4K9xhFtUtHc/видео.html. ruclips.net/video/PeMvMNpvB5M/видео.html
You should listen to the Go-Gos, It was an all group from the '80s, They were the first all girl band to make it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Some of their hits were, "Vacation," "Our Lips are Sealed," "We;ve Got the Beat," and :"Head over Heels."
Absolutely no woman rocker will ever match the pipes of Ann.
…gotta put Pat Benatar right there besides Ann. Those two are so far ahead of anyone else.
Pat Benatar comes close. She's got a great voice too.
Completely agree..my favorite female vocalist ever!
When you have a relentless, guitar-driven groundwork backed by a powerful, angelic voice, punctuated by melodic interludes, you can't go wrong. Truly timeless.
So true!😉👍
Ann has one of the most powerful voices in rock music!!!!
I'm always happy to see reactors do this version that starts off with the acoustic part. It's a great concert video. Of course, the studio version is immaculate, and what you want for your playlist, but it's good to see the band as they were.
You simply cannot find this level of talent today. Everything is autotuned or automated.

You need to watch their cover Led Zeppelin's "STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN". It is incredible!!!
Yes, seeing their different decades shows what a talent they really are.
I love their song "Barracuda".
Heart Stairway To Heaven

I saw them the year before this video, 1977. It was a great show!
Not just great talent but a beautiful lady no botox, bbl etc. A true women.💯❤️🇮🇹
The first song you reacted to was the softer '80s version of Heart. In the '70s, they rocked hard!
Heart is just a fantastic band live I saw them many times Barracuda is a classic. I am also a huge Yes fan so thanks for reacting to my teenage favorites.

Ann Wilson's biggest influence (and crush) as a rock singer is none other than..... Robert Plant.
I Love HEART ❤ & OLA ❤
Dreamboat Annie and Magic Man are great Heart tunes
Thanks You for keep in mind one of the numbers of Heart. They have some songs with a high quality of music. Some friends recommend you songs to react. Please make it, you'll be surprised in a good sense🎉.
Sylvan Song and Dream of the Archer should be played together.
Finally do more Heart! So many to do!! Do .."Straight On"!!
I got to see HEART 2 times in my life what a great band the talent is amazing so wonderful in concert
Nancy doing it with STYLE
Ann Wilson, Linda Ronstadt & Tanya Tucker. What do they have in common? In the 70's as a teenager-young adult, they were all posters on the wall of my bedroom.
You have to admit that Ann's physical beauty is unmatched, she was the crush of many teenagers
Seen them live
You have to do Barracuda and do Magic Man (studio version)! Both of those songs are huge in the legacy!
Hi Ola this song is true story about the lead singer and her manager or producer not sure and a relationship.
Thanks Ola great way to start a day with the reaction from you❤😊.
When the universe needs confidence, it borrows from Ann Wilson.
You should react to Hearts albums of the 70's. You will fall in love with each and every song

Bad ass lady pioneers of women in rock when they faced strong opposition
❤❤❤❤❤❤Keep smiling loving your channel honey. God bless you and yours.
So true! I was fortunate to see them in their prime, mid 90’s, her clear voice was freaking incredible! Simple! Similar, Pat Benetar!😳😉👍
Great reaction, be sure to watch the song The Dog 🐕 and the Butterfly 🦋, “ up in the air they like to fly” by Heart 😊.
OLA is One Bad A$$ Girl 💯❤💢

Next, barracuda and magic man after that 🙂
I hadn't noticed it but you do resemble Ann Wilson. Not that it was mentioned, I see it.
Your usual great reaction! Heart was what we all loved to listen to in our cars as teenagers on the 70's.
You definitely look like you could be Ann & Nancy's, little sister. 😎🇺🇸
I love your voice 😊❤
Check out 'These Dreams' from 1985....
Maybe the acoustic guitar in Crazy on You reminded you of the acoustic guitar in Roundabout.
Barracuda good song by Heart
Barracuda is an excellent choice for your next Heart reaction. Then, watch their rendition of 'Stairway to Heaven'...with Led Zeppelin watching!

they are about to go on tour again, only issue is Ann's voice has finally degraded recently and she cannot hit those notes at all anymore.

...I dont know if I like this version!!
