NFW. She's going to be 70 years old on March 16. As much as I love to listen to her play and sing, her speaking voice is just as enchanting. Thanks for this Don Jack - you rock!
I never get tired of relaying my introduction to Heart and this particular song "Crazy on you" as I was in the US Navy onboard an aircraft carrier CV42 sailing from Catania, Sicily to Naples, Italy and this song was playing on a shipmates cassette player and having already been in Rota, Spain and listening to the beautiful Spanish guitars it kinda reminded me of that but with a bite as the song progressed. More shocking however was upon learning that the player on the intro was a chick as I was told WOW I remember saying then I saw and heard the entire album. Dreamboat Annie was in my opinion the best compliment for a sailor out at sea and it touched me at the right time.
Ann and Nancy have been the backbone of my relationship with my mother. My mom and dad went to a bar called The Red Barn in Great Falls Montana in the early 70s and walked into magic man being played by two gorgeous women wailing on the guitar and microphone... a few months later they heard that same song on the radio as at that moment realized they had witnessed Heart performing before anyone ever really knew who they were. I was born in 79 and one core memory of my mother and I is her holding me in her arms and dancing around the living room to Heart and Bad Company on vinyl. To this day, we still dance together, but now it's my vinyl and my living room, and my son joins in... full circle shit. Thank you Ann and Nancy for your soul and your music! My mom (Ann❤) and I are forever grateful for you both. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Crazy on you blasting on the car radio summer evening Brighton Michigan state park. Camping overnight smoking hash listening to the music, double date. This memory comes alive every time i hear this song and I'm 15 again.
Thank you for this comment. I’ll be in Brighton in a couple weeks for the very first time. I’ll make sure to blast this gem while up in Michigan. 👊🏻 Cheers
Nancy was my first rock and roll crush! Beautiful, great vocal ability and could play a guitar like no other! Crazy On You was my favorite song. Brings back so many great memories listening to it now. All the best Nancy.
One of the most giving bands in music history! I remember one time in the early 80's watching them for 4 hours! They came back for 6 encores! Even more amazing to see than just to hear them!
My husband. bought a beautiful home in the woods of Northern CA. right in the middle of wine country ...There's NOWHERE on Earth more peaceful , calming or more visually beautiful. I am always on the lookout for her 'badass' car. Maybe one day I will be fortunate enough to see her tooling thru the windy scenic roads of Sonoma Co.🍇🦅🌲🐿️
Amazing band. So many great songs. I'm in a band with a singer and guitar player who are good enough to do this stuff and people flip when we do Barracuda and Crazy on You
Nancy your still a Bad Ass 😅 wonderful 😅 your best life time achievements are all your albums & your ability to perform for decades 😅 that's Your Magic 😅 😊 Love ❤️ your Girl Cave
I noticed that in earlier days Nancy had a different strumming pattern, wider and in different directions. Why the change....still sounds just as good.
It looks like she was driving through Sonoma. I lived in that area for 15 years. The weather is great but I’m not fond of California for many reasons. In particular Nancy won’t get to drive her gas car much longer. (I guess she lives in Santa Rosa. I’ve been there many times. As a matter of fact I was just writing about Grossman’s Deli there a couple days ago. Their food is awesome and I really miss that as I’ve eaten there probably 10 times or more.)
Washington state has produced some of the biggest badasses of all-time like Heart, Jimi Hendrix, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, and Nirvana. Enough said.
@@WeepTheGreedIn a different interview, Nancy said the same thing herself, that Ann's vocal ability was the real draw in that band. A really good band playing behind a great voice.
Crazy on You August 1968 Perro and Devil woke up out of jet-lag. Stolen ! by the US Marines Air Force German Shepherds Project 1-45. Bowdion in Edmonds (north of Seattle) they pushed me down to the ground right away, because they were happy to see me ?
@@matchpoint14 It's a common confusion. The short version is that the band's original manager, Mike Fisher was dating Ann, and was evading military service. So he left for Canada, and the band followed him. During that time they signed with a Canadian label and the band was officially launched from there. But as soon as Mike was able to return safely to the US, they all returned to Seattle.
You are right they are from Seattle. But they spent most of the 70's in Vancouver BC. They did High School dances etc. And recorded with Mushroom records. They were in the same " house" as BTO and Trooper and Headpins. Vancouver during this time had a lot of such bands .
Seeing and hearing her play "Crazy" on this acoustic guitar is just not the same sound (a good sound) but that 70's video(you know, where Mark Hamill is playing guitar behind her) where she is kicking ass on that Ovation guitar is far better.
Thought RRHOF inductees got one BUT No! It's a R&R thing, "The skull is a rock staple, it comes from the image of the pirate, the black flag, and that's been around for centuries. It's an image of being a rebel, an outlaw, someone who lives life by different rules."

Your right. Her voice pulls you in.
Their speaking voices are so feminine.
She shares my birthday 3 years older than me
Nancy is such a beautiful soul, Thank you so much for the Awesome music you brought to this world
Love this. Yes Nancy, you are a bad ass indeed and yes you have been kicking ass since the early 70s. ❤
Semper Fi Nancy :)! I'll always remember you as the lady in the car in Fast Times At Ridgemont High!
She still has it.
Still hot at 70 . Beautiful

My tale is the same as yours only was serving in the Army. Badass song! 🎶

I F'n❤ Heart forever, and ever.❤ Awesome Band ❤
I CAN STILL REMEMBER THE TIME NANCY WENT CRAZY ON ME. 😂 🤣 😂 I THINK I WAS IN MY BED SOUND ASLEEP.

Nancy Wilson is just so beautiful.
I Just Love This Talented Lady.! She And I Are The Same Age
Did not think my estimation of Nancy could conceivably increase until I saw her driving that badass car.
I just love you and Ann❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A beautiful woman and a voice of gold and she is one of the best guitar players of all time
You mean like in the same category with Hendrix, Clapton, Townshend, Page, and Van Halen?
That voice talent and beauty is some kinda drug !
Heart’s legacy, this song. One of the greatest rock songs of all time. Everything came together.
Nancy has such a cool and soothing sounding voice. Her guitar skills and stage presence is legendary. Long live Heart ❤
What a beautiful home well deserved nancy best wishes phil Shrewsbury uk 💐

Cool Nancy ! 🎸👍
She lives down the road from us and we never hear a peep. Sometimes I ride by and want to hear Barracuda coming from the garage. 👍
Thank you! Carry on.
STILL badass. Saw them at Texas Jam in late 70's
Her little laugh always gets me.
Nice home Nancy. 😘

I'm 56 years old and I believe she's 70 this year I've always had the hots for and I still do.
0:14 Oh wait. That's the "Red Velvet Car"!!! 🛻
That song energy is timeless. But...
Ann made the band, Nancy was the eye candy. Plenty of guitarist could have replaced Nancy, but no singer could have replaced Ann. ❤
Well that could not be more incorrect or ignorant.
You’re mental!!! Seriously.

Nancy and Roger ...Nice couple

She is from Canada not Seattle, not sure why she did not say that
Because she's not Canadian. She was born in San Francisco, California, and grew up in Seattle, Washington.

The skull ring is weird. What does that mean? That she's ready to be a SS concentration camp guard?
The thing that's weird is the comment you made.
Skulls are a part of rock ‘n’ roll and the only thing weird here is your comment. What are you nine
I think it means she likes skull rings. Nothing more.
Lmfao! Dufus

Ann was just as beautiful as Nancy. Nancy was more petite. That’s all.
She probably has a whole other room full of guitars. Never good to show them all.
all amazing except for the horrible 80's hair band era
Nancy Wilson is black
That's a different Nancy Wilson, a jazz singer.
