Love Nancy's intro live. So much packed into that quick minute or two. Ann's vocals are always on point. This is one of my favorite groups from their very first album release waaaaayyy back in my "youth"
Heart is one of those bands that literally had like over 20 top 100 hits... seriously.. this concert was from 1977 I think... they started in the late 70s, made it big in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and the early 2000s... if you get a chance, do yourself a huge favor, and watch 2 videos.. led zeppelin stairway to heaven.. live from 73 or studio.. then Heart was asked to play stairway to heaven in front of zeppelin when the members of zeppelin were being given the Kennedy center honors.. maybe do both versions in one reaction... incredible... thanks... Great reaction.
Barracuda is also a very popular song and I believe was also on Guitar Hero. Nancy is playing an Ovation electric acoustic, my husband has one like it.
Ann is the lead singer and Nancy is the guitarist and does some vocals. They went their separate ways somewhere around 2019 and Nancy toured off and on with Styx (you can find the concert vids with her playing with them on RUclips) and Ann formed a group called Tripsitter and has been touring with them. The sisters got back together on New Year's Eve/New Year's night this year for a reunion and I think they are doing a few shows together. To see them at their very best you should react to the 2012 Heart cover of "Stairway to Heaven" they performed at the Kennedy Center Honors for a Tribute to Led Zepplin with the remaining members of Led Zepplin in the balcony. You get to see Nancy tear up the acoustic with Ann on the vocals in an amazing tribute with Jason Bonham (Jon Bonham's son) on the drums. You will definitely be impressed! Make sure you find the full length version of the tribute because there are one or two versions out there that are missing about three minutes of the performance. It takes rock goddesses to pay proper homage to rock gods!
I was not aware Heart split up so recently. Was there like a falling out or something? I have seen a small segment of that performance but I don't think I've ever seen the full song before. I'll add it to the list. Is the video 8 minutes long? I just want to make sure I get the right one
@@AceofBadeReacts yes, the version that is closest to eight minutes should be the correct version. There are a few versions of why they parted ways and they do talk about it in interviews and in articles. They are both fairly active in social media. They both have "Blue Check" profiles on FaceBook and Nancy will occasionally reply to posts. They're both on IG too, but I can't remember their profile names there. Happy hunting!
Amazing, having one of the world's great singers and one of the world's great guitarists, and have them be beautiful sisters. It is more difficult to play an acoustical guitar vs., an electric and have it be as pure as Nancy makes it.
They knocked it out of the park. Although the spanish flair definitely sounds better on an acoustic guitar like it was here. And this intro kicked so much butt
While the video quality of this is pretty horrible, this is, in my opinion, THE BEST performance of Crazy On You. They were at their best here. Ann's vocals are incredible and she doesn't hold anything back. Feel free to compare her SCREAM of "sweet flowin LOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVEE' at 9:01 in your reaction vs any other. She's in another galaxy with this one. How your eyes didn't bug out when she hit that is beyond me... Heart is, at least they were, better live than any other band I ever saw live. Maybe Pink Floyd, but that's a different animal. Heart is actually on tour now, so I'll let others chime in on their new shows. I'm not one to fan-glam and say they are just as good now as ever. They aren't. They are still really good. But age inevitably takes it's toll on the vocal cords. Ann is such a powerful singer, you can't expect this performance today. She can still hit some amazing notes, but not sustained like here. A couple of uber-talented sisters surrounded by perhaps the tightest band in rock history on stage is something to write home about.
I think it's probably because I knew what to expect on that scream. She matched what she did on the studio album, which is impressive in it's own right.
Heart was my first concert at 12 years old. I'm now 55. You can do the math for the year, I'm still pretending I'm not old yet, haha. By the way, John Cougar (now Mellencamp) was their opener.
@AceofBadeReacts although, on some songs, Nancy does take the lead on. Check out their tribute to Led Zepplin at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012. Ann was 62 yrs when she belted that one out singing Stairway to Heaven
Ann & Nancy are definitely the core members of Heart, but they are not the founding members. Heart was founded in 1967 by lead guitarist Roger Fisher and bassist Steve Fossen. Ann auditioned for them in 1970 and was hired. Nancy joined Heart in 1974. Heart was not just Ann & Nancy. Heart was all 6 members. The 4 men in the band brought the music. Ann said Heart would not be Heart without Roger, Steve, Howard and Michael. All of them were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
Do you like the live version or the studio version of this song better?
Live version. Heart is great live.

Heart was one of my favorite bands in the 70s!
They are so awesome

I think both of those have been reacted to on here actually if you want to check those reactions out
Barracuda is also a very popular song and I believe was also on Guitar Hero. Nancy is playing an Ovation electric acoustic, my husband has one like it.
Very true. I actually did react to Barracuda before this one, too. Electric Acoustic guitars are so cool

@@billboyd9028 well if they get together and play then it doesn't sound like an Oasis fued
The best version of Stairway to Heaven is this one
ruclips.net/video/Ps7tVvQHLyo/видео.html.
@@scastillo0923 That doesn't look like Stairway to Heaven

I could listen to Ann Wilson sing all night and listen and watch Nancy play all night.
They are phenomenal
I was lucky enough to see these ladies live in 1977, I believe the same year as this video, on the day Elvis died.
That's awesomely tragic
CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY!!!! KICK ASS SONG!!! ❤
100%
Such a great performance!
Love the reaction. ❤

Oh wow that's pretty cool. I think I've heard like one song by him, but I can't remember. Also 55 is not old
Magic Man is great too!
It's a great song
Ann is the lead singer. Nancy is the guitarist
I made sure to write that down so I won't forget

@@marybrant9586 I think someone beat you to it in suggesting that one. I also was told to make sure it's the 8 minute video
And this is why I say Dany Villarreal is Ann (vocals) and Nancy (guitar) Wilson, in the same person.
You know, I can see it
Fun! 🎤🎶🔥🥁
I think both of us had a lot of fun with this one

Wow I had no idea. All I ever heard about was Ann and Nancy
Ann was so fine
Both Ann and Nancy are awesome!
You should react to Lita Ford & Ozzy Osborne song.
I'll add it to the list
