Cyberpunk 2077: An atmospheric tour of Night City
HTML-код

- Night City is one of the most atmospheric settings on PC, especially at night when the place explodes with neon. So PC Gamer's resident Blade Runner obsessive Andy Kelly made this short film to show it off, which he's given the appropriately moody name of Night City Blues. It's an atmospheric showcase of Cyberpunk 2077's dazzling open world, and a taste of what you'll experience when you get your hands on the game.

This video captures everything I've been dreaming about this game
Your comment alone helped me understand just what this is. Thank you. Not even google would tell me. lol
Very solid Blade Runner vibes. I dig it.
Came here to say that, i cannot wait to play!
I can't wait until I can buy it myself
I was just about to say that.
Was thinking the same. Hope they fix it
@@jackwelsh3453 same! I have hopes for the 1.5 update that's coming!
In all my years of imagining the uses of holograms, I never once considered that they could be used to make billboard screens larger and taller than a city's skyscrapers.
this is a big part of why i enjoy the cyberpunk world. it takes a beautiful and colorful neo-noir futurist aesthetic of a city and then filters it through the dystopic lens of late-stage capitalism where everything is maximally commodified
the vertical holo ads are a really cool way of expressing that. oh we have this super high tech way of protection images into thin air? we could use it for something that improves humanity, or we could optimize the vertical real estate on our private property and make you look at virtual billboards if you want to glimpse the sky
i also don't know if it's intentional, but i noticed that those ads are only hosted in the ultra-wealthy corpo district, as if it's expensive tech that no one else can afford. which could be true in-universe since i haven't seen that tech used for anything else in the game
This looks amazing. Glad to see a video showing off the atmosphere of the city
Same I didn’t want to play it until I get it for myself but wanted to see the city tho
Rise and shine
I love this game, despite all the problems and bugs. I love this game, this city, this universe.
Me to I'd move there if it was a real place lol
This game has soul. Unlike many others.
@@Thecontinentalgta better get trauma team platinum first.
@@Thecontinentalgta Same too. Honestly. I would be excited for night time. I can just sit outside, somewhere peaceful, and gaze at corporate neon towers and advertisment all day, with the Japanese ambient announcements.
When it's all said and done, at least we can say the game was beautiful.
on god
The visuals are amazing. I can see why it took them so long to produce it.
All of this for nothing since now people who didn't even played it call this game " garbage ", " worst than Fallout 76 " and all sort of stupidity
@@mordor1779 It's not garbage, but it's woefully disappointing when it comes to missing/cut content features, poor ai, poor optimization, lack of actual life paths beyond the 20 min prologue, you just become a street kid at the drop of a hat past that point..list goes on. But the city is breath-taking no doubt, the environmental artist/designers are the exception, they deserve a lot of praise.
@@mordor1779.... Umm actually no.
The whole game and the world is really beautiful.
But as a gamer you want to play and interact with the world. That is woefully bad.
The designers should get a lot of praise. But overall game play is bad.
Much of it is due to the executives of these game did such bad job at marketing that they made it a GTa vs Cyberpunk thing. Needless to say the 7 yr old GTa is still more immersive than cyberpunk. Cyberpunk over promised and under delivered. The hate that came their way is their own making.
@@dhumtana1247 they did not overpromise
Well the games a lot smoother now. They've put so much into it lately its great. One of my favorite things is to simply walk the streets of NC seeing the sights, observing people in the brief glimpses of their lives before I move on. Tragedy is everywhere and so is beauty
Looks spectacular, love the music choice
One of the best cities in video games.
This video has become my ASMR
One of the best Gaming universes ever made
ITS FCKNG FANTASTIC
Это не только лучший аутентичный ролик по CP2077, но и один из лучших в принципе!
I can't wait until modders make a "Blade Runner atmosphere" mod, changing the lighting, weather, shadows, colours etc.
It's going to be awesome!
It feels very different from the stylised perfection of BR. After traveling to many of the Blade-Runnerish cities throughout Asia from Hong Kong, to Bangkok and Osaka, I have to say that 2077 is like them all combined, and feels like a hellish dystopia that’s not too many years away. Except for the cybernetic implants.
Turn up volumetric fog to 11, more monotone colors to buildings but make the neon sign stick out.
I guess your wish has come true. Don't know if you are still playing Cyberpunk, I'm not, but the mod is out.
so it’s not that “Blade Runnery” without mods?
cause i plan buying it on console, and there are no mods there, but i want the definitive Blade Runner experience so..
@@ruggerorandisi7785 It's more of a GTA 5 with Cyberpunk aesthetics added
You beautifully captured the essence of night city. Love it. I am currently going around the city taking photos of amazing urban landscapes.
Man this city looks awesome. I ashame i can't play on ultra quality but even on medium-hight this city looks awesome. I spend like 20% of my Playtime just staring at views
2 1/2 hours till I can play cyberpunk 2077 a game I've dreamed about since the '80s
Did you ever try Deus Ex Human Revolution or Mankind divided?
If 2077 had a survival mode, where you needed to sleep and eat, it would be my perfect game.
@@Y2Kr4SHM4N yes
Cyberpunk is fun regardless of the bugs! I never updated the game and don't plan to until I see major improvements...
@@vivek-zo2yy He he it's sh!t..
I am glad I waited until patch 1.5
This game is beautiful. I can tell this game will age well.
perfection, the combination of music with these shots is absolute perfection
Beautiful video. I was already in love with this city, but now... I almost feel depressed I can not walk these streets. Music please? It is fantastic.
Goddamn the music choice on this video just captures the atmosphere and the whole story of CP2077
It's So Beautiful the Immersive World of Cyberpunk 2077 is Very Astounding I Wish I could still Live Long Enough to Experience what it is to live in the Future...
Thank you for this beautiful piece of art.
Yes this is the Dream of Blade Runner. It is almost here.
Love these videos, Andy. I was going to say I miss Other Places but here we are.
Andy's work is always amazing!
Awesome video & Music!
I’m loving the soundtrack already. This is gonna be amazing!
This song playing is actually from Bladerunner, not Cyberpunk, just so you weren't confused later.
@@jordan_too song name?
@@twitchingmovie5195 Song name
yeah what the name of this music track?
Unfortunately the score is nothing like this.
Need more videos like this
Night City Blues must be a reference to the first chapter of Neuromancer, "Chiba City Blues" :)
Or a reference to Blade Runner Blues from the Blade Runner soundtrack.
@@isviewer or that! A great track
this is great. plz make a hour long version of it.
Really helps get the vibe of how beautiful and grotesque Night City is.
So cool! Well done!👏
amazing job !
Feels good man
Beautiful
Getting big ODST New Mombasa vibes from this
Happy to see a comment section that isn’t all criticism. Beautiful world they have crafted. No wonder it took so long. Those devs deserve our respect!
@H 0 ikr, I just wanna get the game to explore this beautifully tragic world. it absolutely amazes me.
Woooow, nice vid!
great job Andy Kelly! inspiring
Amazing, one reason I love Cyberpunk 2077 is Night City in all its beauty and filth although not much filth is in this video.
Just amazing.
Straight out of bladerunner
Cyberpunk 2077 LET'S GO!!! This will probably be my Game of the Year!
@Aces I hope so.
This game is out of this world!
i am heartbroken i will never live in an atmosphere like this
Visit Japan
@RF EXPLORING It's a dystopia lol
Go to Hong Kong?
the vibes!
Missed that Kelly had done an Other Places for Night City. Glad the PC Gamer twitter promoted it again.
I can't remember a time I've been this immersed in a game world.
*maybe* back in the late 2000's with half-life 2, but even then, that was less of a spectacle and more of a masterpiece in environmental storytelling. cyberpunk 2077 is a whole aesthetic, and while it sometimes feels like it's only that and nothing more, the aesthetic is still fucking incredible. IMO worth buying just to walk or drive around the city for hours
Preach!! Just got a XBSX and Im in awe 40 hours later still
The gmae is fantastic I am pressed by night city is massive and full of life!
Music: Nathan Feddo, Henry White - Gargantua
FINALLY THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
This is going to be game of the year in 2023 when complete 👍 dlc included.
Wtf is wrong with me I can finish the game cuz all I do is drive around and look at all of the amazing graphics lol
Can't believe that this is a real time render.
Looks great! I wish I could say the same about playing. Hope they actually polish the game within a year
Blade Runner 2047 vibes here ❤️😎
This is just like the Blade Runner Intro
This was much more enjoyable to take in than actually being in the game with your telephone going off every other minute
Thanks for the honest review, please don't change because of the fanboys who can't take criticism :) and I say this as someone who is hyped to play the game tomorrow, it's way better to know what to expect in reality, thanks guys!
I’ve lived in a cyberpunk city. It rained a lot. I lived in Blade Runner world.
The things I would do to live in a city like that. I truly was born too early...
@Mike Mac Is it cause it would be the norm, so I wouldnt be excited?
@Mike Mac cyberpunk is a dystopia though
@Mike Mac Dystopia aren't cool either
This is so good! How do you make your camera free roaming to make a video like this?
Playing this on GE Force Now with RTX and AI upscaling to 4K= mind blown
It’s like NYC,hong kong and Tokyo wrapped into one
didnt know i have a fetish for future
Please guys, what is the music track called? can't seem to find it on the Blade Runner soundtrack, and somehow the music sounds a bit more modern in regards to the ambient sounds.
Incredible video. Makes me want to buy the game. Where can I find the music though?!
Imagine playing multiplayer with friends in Night City!
Hopefully soon
Requescat in pace, Cyberpunk multiplayer 😢
They captured mike pondsmiths vision.
India m ek city aisa hona chaiye yeh bhot jarruri h in future kyuki ek achi city or life style hi nahi innovation or inspiration milti h ek zabardast sehar banna chaiye jaldi se jaldi
Despite all the issues
The game is initially the closest we got to a blade runner open world game
Which honestly Sony and Warnerbros have to do sometime
I mean come on we absolutely need that.
This is what the marketing from the last 7 years should have captured.
It looks so realistic. I'm guessing you recorded this on max settings with ray tracing. It looks so convincing and I want to be there. I love how you can see through windows into apartments and the like. I bet that is turned off on lower settings. Would like to see more of this tbh. 2:42 is particularly pretty. Is this during during a sunset? How does time work in game? Can you set it to be the same time as real life with a full 24 hour clock? I'd love that to be an option.
I think the devs said not too long ago that 1 hour IRL equals to 8 hours in game. Therefore, if you want one day to pass in Night City (provided you don't time skip with sleeping and other game mechanics) you need to play for 3 real time hours.
Try Low-Fi VR....best Cyberpunk game!
Боже это прекрасно
how do you capture videos like this in game? what are they using to film this?
I wish I could live there 😭
🔥🔥🔥 i♥️ nigt city
we need the song name
Music name please?
Je vais bientôt jouer à ce jeu sur ma ps4 slim et sur ps5.
So close
What's the songs title? An amazing track, for an amazing virtual city.
Возможно "Symphocat - A Question To Reality"?!?
Я не уверен.
Супер!
Most of the "Future dystopic city" are based on NY, Tokyo, Sanfranciso, Sanghai and a handful other megacities. Personally, I invite you guys to Delhi and Dhaka and see how extreme Dystopia and Dream lives together.
Song?
Imagen is this game could actually use its amazing city properly..
WANT IT ON OCULUS QUEST 2!
2:27 3:03 3:10 3:26 3:49 4:20
I've been waiting for a video like this for 3 months. Someone should have done it way before now! Missed opportunities for income!
They weren't allowed to, embargo for third party videos and streams was only lifted half an hour ago
Ditto. A 5 minute atmospheric clip like this done around the first 2 delays to compensate for the drought would've made a world of difference.
This game isn't perfect but it cannot be considered a bad game
What camera tools do you use for this?
I'm only guessing here, but probably a controller for smooth movement, and the black borders to hide the UI
cannot wait upgrade my rig to play oin 1440p 120 (aka solid 60 lmao)
Wish it could be played in VR
Try Low-Fi VR. The best Cyberpunk game coming soon!
Cyberpunk 2077: An Atmospheric Cybertron Future Earth Tour Of Welcome To The Night City Of Tomorrowland Cybertron Headquarters Universe
If only :(
Wow… The best Cyberpunk 2077 video I watched until now. The game is not really about cyberpunk but the video has interesting aesthetics, rain included …
Bro what's the music?
Lacks population density even at night, and people are so calm walking around in a city with so much crimes and dangers. It feels less immersive than what I imagined. I hope there's going to be mods for added realism.
It's supposed to lack population density at night
Yeah because I always see crowds of people flooding the streets late at night
Downtown of a metropolis, yes there is usually a quite a few people living the night life even in our time, you can see people in groups and people in a hurry to get home, drunk and homeless people... That's today's society and that's not even supposed to be a dystopia. Cyberpunk's setting is a dystopian future, when population density should be even higher, life is more dangerous etc. So yes it is expected that there is an higher amount of people and the fact that there is no emotion and attitude in pedestrians walks and postures definitely looks like NPC's behavior will be repetitive as hell..
You kinda contradicted yourself there, I'm no fanboy of the game, but you said the city is full of violence then shouldn't night time be even more empty since people are fearing the violence on the streets. Kinda like how Detroit was 10 years ago.
@@thekillfreaks It should be a mix for sure, sections of the city safer, more nightlife, other sections, more illegal activities and less people just walking around peacefully. The point is that what we see in the video is a generic walk animation more or less repeated to all the people, no matter the area or time of the day as in all trailers. even with the same amount of people, details like that to create an atmosphere and have some environmental storytelling are very important.
It's consistant with previous trailers, part of the game seems to show signs of urban life, including wastes, but the NPCs we see are not coherent with that life and themes (except I suppose those more important in cinematics etc.)
song?
But for the love of god man, WHAT'S THE SONG?
I know. i want to know what music this is.
Say "Ok Google" and then ask "What's this song?"
