Absolutely stunning. Lingmoor was my very first fell walk back in 2009. No cloud inversion though. A great watch and lovely photos. A great reminder of a fabulous day out 🙂
“Email sent” Got so caught up in the views during the video I had to watch the video twice to catch the email. I loved the picture with the fence as a leading line down the hill to the epic view. Good video as always.
Love the shot of the day. These were not your usual type of shots, but I truly don't believe the heavy fog felt wishy washy, especially not the "river of fog" shot. Never had the pleasure of going to the UK, but the photos I've seen of the Lake District vary a great deal in atmosphere and color.
Your photos were beautiful. Been around that location but it poured down when we went. Lucky you to catch those conditions. You have taught me so much since being a member. Love the critique, it has given me confidence. So thank you.
I was up side pike this mid summer but there were no clouds. I did manage to get a nice panorama. Lingmoor is a nice fell, not too difficult or remote and easy navigation. You got some rewarding images. Thanks for the video. email sent. 😀
Email sent. Great to see you out there hiking, such a beautiful area of the UK. Loved the shot of the day, good on that sheep for strategically sitting there.😄
Email sent. Thanks for taking me to places ill never get to. Todays pictures look great to me, I don’t need to count the hairs on the sheep’s back to feel that I’m there, I can still imagine the breeze and the cold.
Hi Gary, e-mail sent. It's nice to see a proper landscape photographer making the effort to find the light instead of tramping about at midday and moaning. You were rewarded with some beautiful photos. Two observations: The tree in the mist about 5 minutes in looks like a Samurai warrior in silhouette and the sheep near the end looks like an Irish Wolfhound ! Maybe it's my eyes......
Although the pictures were "wishy washy" as you said. I thought they were amazing. My personal favourite was the one with the sheep looking in your general direction. I think wildlife always adds to a picture. Fabulous video. Fabulous pictures. Keep up the amazing work you do 👍🏻
Hi Gary I love the effort you put in to take us on your journey. Beautiful cloud inversions and the mountain sheep adds great perspective to the overall scene, thank you.
Email sent. Wow, it is not often we get the thrill of seeing one of these inversions in a vlog and this one was vast and within beautiful mountains, well done again.
Email sent. I only found your channel a few weeks ago, Gary, but I'm really happy I did. This video just proves that there's no such day as a bad day to be out with your camera. Thank heavens that we no longer have to fork out every time for a couple of rolls of film and all the processing costs that went with it. But I do miss those days though ;) Another great video - keep them coming!
Well, email sent, hopefully it reaches the right mail box. Thanks for yet another wonderful video, no problem understanding Your excitement with conditions like that. I can relate to the problem with auto focus on that lens too. Just bought one myself about a month ago, a second hand, but in excellent condition. Love it already, but I've noticed a tiny problem regarding autofocus in atmospheric conditions. It's not a big deal as long as I remember it, and for my woodland and forest photography I use manual almost exclusively. It's always a joy to follow your trips, so, thanks for sharing your moments👍👌
Email sent from Anthony Poole. I love the image of the day of the sheep, especially with some of the bracken having turned and the background cloud inversion. That sheep looks like it’s about to say, “You lot bugger off, you’ve got your pictures.”
I was hoping you would tell us what settings you were using, f stops, shutter speed speed etc, like you did for the jets in Wales. I'll keep searching your videos for one as that is what is helping me loads, being a newbie.
Email sent. Another excellent video Gary, just goes to show you can never predict what opportunities will arise around the next corner or over the hill 😁😁.
Fortune favours the brave Gary! My dream is an overnight hike with some Astro and a sunrise both with cloud inversions. Thanks for taking us along. Not often I comment on any videos but I’ve learnt so much from you, thank you! Email sent.
What an amazing g cloud inversion. Love the Timelapse of the misty river. I wouldn’t call the images wishy washy because it looked stunning and ethereal. I can understand why you had to manual focus so not too much contrast in the scene for the sensor to pick up. My fav is your shot of the day. What a bonus image and different from the classic view to include wildlife. Brilliant video.
I feel for you after a big trek up the hill only to be disappointed with the final results, but still enjoying the experience of you carrying it through and letting us watch still great photos. Email sent
Email Sent. Loved the old sheep taking in the view. Awesome conditions but yeah maybe not the best for photography. Is that because we like our subjects pin sharp and clear? Unfortunately nature doesn’t always play ball 😊.
Email sent. As always a truly inspirational video. I think you are the one photographer whose videos I can watch over and over, making the landscape around us appear magical. Thank you for all of your enthusiasm and effort that you put in producing these videos.
Does changing lenses out in the cold cause moisture to get in the camera? Looking at what you are photographing, I am wondering how a red or yellow filter would have worked on black and white film.
Correo electronico enviado. Me encanta como expone, el enorme esfuerzo que supone plasmar cada fotografia, el mimo que se da, hasta obtener esa imagen tan deseada, muchas gracias.
email sent. I was lucky with a cloud inversion a few years ago at Derwent Water as well. Luckily, I didn't have to climb as high as yourself. Great video as always.
Fantastic video Gary from a beautiful location. I experienced a lovely temperature inversion from Clough Head, looking towards towards Blencathra and Skiddaw, and down St Johns in the Vale. Did you get a Broken Spectator or was the inversion to high?
Email sent, recently witnessed my first cloud inversion in Iceland, absolutely stunning. My daughter did wonder why I was doing an emergency stop on gravel when there was no living thing within 20 miles of us 😂 where’s a sheep when you want one 🤔
Email sent, why the heck not, first post on YT. Win or lose for the bag no matter, always a winner in the enjoyment stakes when viewing your work Gary.
Email sent. I enjoy your fine art photography. The shot of the day you captured was Terrific. Learning a lot from watching your videos...excellent Photography.

Great video and some great images. Good to see that I am not the only one who battles with landscapes.
What a sight to see I have never seen a cloud inversion, as for the images they tell the story of the morning. cracking shots.
Many thanks 👍👍

you're right I wasn't expecting that shot of the day. 😂

Email Sent! Great vlog once again Gary. Certainly worth it for the images captured even if they weren't as thought!!

Thanks for sharing some incredible views Gary - the sheep in the right foreground was my favourite.
A great morning to be out in the inversion Gary , had a cracking time, just a pity the light didn't play ball for us .
Have you drawn the competition Gary? I've watched the later videos and can't see a winner announced anywhere.
Email sent. Thanks for taking me to places ill never get to. Todays pictures look great to me, I don’t need to count the hairs on the sheep’s back to feel that I’m there, I can still imagine the breeze and the cold.
Email Sent. You were right about the last shot. Absolutely fantastic.

Email Sent great video as always Gary, not always about great images its about living in the moment and enjoying the scenery
Email send. Absolutely love the shot of the day. Nice to see I'm not the only crazy one who wakes up early to go on phototrips :)

The lens is spot on, I just didn't realise how muggy the day was :(
Email sent from Anthony Poole. I love the image of the day of the sheep, especially with some of the bracken having turned and the background cloud inversion.

Best time of day Scotty. You should have seen the traffic going into the Lakes when I was leaving. Miles of it 😁😁
Fantastic video Gary from a beautiful location. I experienced a lovely temperature inversion from Clough Head, looking towards towards Blencathra and Skiddaw, and down St Johns in the Vale.
Did you get a Broken Spectator or was the inversion to high?
