Have stood in most of the locations you visited Gary but in the Summer, this Vlog brought back so many memories from the last 4 years and two trips to Iceland, the country is quite simply a photographers Nirvana and I would strongly recommend any photographer to witness it once in their lifetime, regardless of your abilities, whether for landscapes or wildlife. The changes in light and conditions make for epic images. Believe it or not we had the whole of Skógafoss Waterfall to ourselves at 5pm on a weekday in Summer (unbelievable) and not a soul in the images. Dyrhólaey is one of my favourite spots, Puffins galore in the Summer and incredible landscapes 👌Well done for soldiering on when feeling rough Gary 👍
Happy New Year Gary! Sorry to hear that you were under the weather while in Iceland. My work took me to Iceland a number of times and I was able to be there in all four seasons. Every time I was taken back by the landscape. My wife and I are traveling to Iceland in 2025 for vacation and your videos have us excited about our upcoming trip. Take care from Texas!
Great shots Gary loved the waterfall ones they truly epic, a great inspiration as always, hope you’re feeling better happy new year and best wishes for 2025 looking forward to more videos.
I was just literally photographing Moose with Steve about 2+ weeks ago in the Teton NP! Great guy and love his photography as much as I love yours. One day a Scotland trip is going to happen to spend a few days with the long exposure master.
Another great video Gary. Iceland is a great place to take photographs, my favourites though are the mountain shots. There is something about the shear power and magnificence that creates them. Keep up the good work.
Another great video Gary, thanks. I enjoyed watching, man flu and all 😊. I'm now officially looking forward to your next video. As of today 17 days till I leave, hope my images are worthy.
I have just recovered from man flu after 10 days over Christmas, I feel for you going to Iceland and suffering the flu. I still remember going to Iceland for 2 weeks and having to get from the middle of Iceland myself and walking to the coast to pick up a bus to then get back to the airport, taking all my food and supplies for 2 weeks and navigating myself, but when I reached civilization back to the coast, I treated myself to a hot dog and got food poison, gee that was my memories of Iceland, food poison, not the trip. You will need to go back this year and have a better experience.
Take bow Gary that was simply stunning images, that has also lifted my spirts after struggling with man flue for the past 4 days. Thank you for that amazing video looking forward to part 3.
Another great video Gary. Thank goodness you managed to get out although with the flu, but how could you not force yourself in a place like that. What an absolutely amazing place. The image's that you captured were nothing but outstanding. Look forward to the next video.
Glad you and I your wife had a great time, wonderful pictures, looking forward to more content next year, for now have a wonderful Christmas and a year 2025 full of health and pictures!
I’ve got to take my hat off to you Gary for carrying on shorting the landscape when your feeling ill and you should be tucked up in a warm bed and a great video 👍🏽
I was lucky enough to visit Iceland for a week in October 2016. Visited most of the places featured in your videos and many more, but in 2016 it was far less crowded than it is today!
Wow, I've really realised the concept of context. The beach photo is beautiful, but, if I hadn't watched the video, I would have thought it was the wake from a ice breaker.
I look forward to your vlogs Gary. Go somewhere, show us a wider view, explain why you are taking a photograph then show us the image. I can imagine being there and I may not take the same image but can see why you have taken yours. A happy new year and please don't change your approach (much) next year.
Great images as always, when we were there in Vik in 2018 there were no wardens and the hostess at our guesthouse said the locals called the beach 'Take away', because people ignored the sign s and would be taken by rogue waves.
You managed to get some fine photos; how it has changed in respect to the number of people. 10 years or more ago there would be 1 or 2 only on the beach at Vik especially in winter. If they are not award winning photos, i will eat my Hat.
Sorry to hear you had man flu. What bad timing! Hope you are feeling better. I currently have woman flu (far worse 🤣) However, you still managed to get the best images. Pictures were, as always, fantastic.
Wishing you best compliments for the season. A month or so ago I purchased the jetmag pro landscape kit. The main issue I have is that, for my fumble fingers, I'd prefer larger tabs on the filters to help separate them. When commenting to NISI about this point and other things I got a polite email back saying that "Regarding the handles, we are receiving great feedbacks form people using it with gloves with no issues at all on cold weather". What's your opinion?

Stunning photography!
The long exposure shots of the river with the ice blue colour section in the centre were magical. Happy New Year, Gary.
Amazing photos, Gary!
Very lovely photos. It was amazing per the number of people there as you stated the middle of December 2024 braving the cold like you.
Stunning set again. Love the ones from Brúarfoss.
Cheers 👍👍
Loved all of the images, a long way from Australia to get there though. Have a great 2025.
Thanks for this , fabulous images as always, will need to go back there one day now im more confident in my own skills. Iceland is amazing.

I’ve got to take my hat off to you Gary for carrying on shorting the landscape when your feeling ill and you should be tucked up in a warm bed and a great video 👍🏽
I was for 3 of the days :(
I was lucky enough to visit Iceland for a week in October 2016. Visited most of the places featured in your videos and many more, but in 2016 it was far less crowded than it is today!
Better off in the summer and going out throughout the night. 😊

Absolutely stunning work, very well done.

Garry in one word: Amazing. What a shots!!😊
Thank you & Happy new year! xx
Great images as always, when we were there in Vik in 2018 there were no wardens and the hostess at our guesthouse said the locals called the beach 'Take away', because people ignored the sign s and would be taken by rogue waves.
I saw a few rogue waves when I was there. An old woman fell over running away from a wave. It was quite scary. 👍👍
You managed to get some fine photos; how it has changed in respect to the number of people. 10 years or more ago there would be 1 or 2 only on the beach at Vik especially in winter. If they are not award winning photos, i will eat my Hat.
Very kind, thank you & Happy new year! xx
👍👍👍👍
As always a awesome video... noticed your not using the ifootage tc7 or tc9 ... can we ask which tripod are you shooting with in Iceland.
Andy
I borrowed it from Halli, I think it was a Benro. It was pretty decent tbf. I took my own tripod head though :)
As usual more amazing images, but how did you manage without your ND soft grad filter.
Sorry to hear you had man flu. What bad timing! Hope you are feeling better. I currently have woman flu (far worse 🤣) However, you still managed to get the best images. Pictures were, as always, fantastic.
I'm saying nothing Claudia :) Thank you & Happy new year! xx
@@GaryGough Happy new year to you too. :)

I know what you mean about being fumbly. I've got big hands, but I've got used to them now.
NOW we know where the blues on Royal Copenhagen pottery came from...
can you tells us more about Halli
I'll ask him if I canb share his socials. Thank you & Happy new year! xx
