    Another great video Gary and timely as well, I'm flying to Iceland from Australia in early January for an 8 day photography tour. I love exploring this world of ours, trying (sometimes in vain) to record its beauty. Keep up the great work and never stop showing us your photography & your travels.

    One visit to Iceland is never enough, I have done two laps with my daughter in 2021 and 2023, both in Summer to take advantage of the long days for photography. The country is simply mind blowing, active volcanoes, Whales, Puffins, Waterfalls, stunning beaches and epic landscapes with gorgeous light 👌 the people make it even more special. Yet to brave a Winter trip but the pull of the Aurora is hard to resist 😉

    Wow! Enjoyed this and looking forward to more. Went to Iceland in February this year. We were stuck with the tourist destinations and timetable with the associated crowds, but it was still a fantastic trip. On the last day there, I slipped on the ice in a car park and broke my wrist. Their health service are fantastic, but I’d have preferred to stay with the tourist bus and see Gulfoss. Thanks for this Gary.

    Visited Iceland in early November and recognised the first location. Unfortunately we didn't get any snow, just very strong winds, which made photography on Black Beach almost impossible, and resulted in me having to completely strip down my tripod to get all the fine black dust out of every joint. Would go back to Iceland in a heartbeat - an amazing place.

  • @SteveP_2426
    @SteveP_2426 8 дней назад

    Had my first visit to Iceland a month earlier than you Gary and even then it's short daylight hours. Went to your location 1 and the wind was so strong it caused the sand to act like shot blasting! When I got home I had to send my external zooming Canon RF 70-200mm lens to Canon for what I thought was just a front glass replacement. In the end it cost over £900 to have it repaired such was the force of the wind forcing the sand inside the weather sealed lens.....good job I had insurance. I found the limit for an externally zooming L series lens!!! I want to go back and see far more😉

    Hi Gary, unfortunately this has happened to me also. If someone has severe head cold or flu other passengers pick it up from the air-conditioning on the plane. May I suggest that you use a nasal spray called Boots Chemist Dual Defense. It is regularly used by Olympians to avoid such things. I use it on all trips whether by ship or plane. It reduces the risks immensely. It costs approx. £6 and I go no where without it. Best regards, Gary…
