There are just so many variables dude. If you invest into preserving them & want to spot bait then yes. I have found for me, it's just not worth the trouble.
It all depends on 50 million things how you space etc. there is no set way. I have had a quarter of the line w/them 2 ft apart half of it 5 and the other quarter 8, it all depends.
Is a lil tight, heres why, guy videoings weight, tide was going out (So it will loosen) & a tight line (in my opinion) works better. If crab drops off (& you don't miss him & scare him) he'll be back. For me it just works better w/a tight line expecially using clams.
Thanks great video. Like to see how you pick up the line.
ruclips.net/video/Hb0zc-dO-FM/видео.html (line puller video) @ end
What was the orange plastic netting that u used to hold your bait?
that sounds.....crazy!
Should but a gaf hook on top of net for Ron to grab trot line.
You sir are awesome
Do clams last more than a day of crabbing

Rob don't quit your day job!
hehe, was his first go at it & he already has experience w/boats, which for some reason, messes people up. He'll be right w/it next year tho!
why not pots?
I think because pots are expensive and he's done most of this from the junkyard.... maybe even the boat. Hahahhaa
