I have now seen several comments from people not getting the defensive war achievement after beating Italy. This is all recent, since earlier players could get all achievements. I can't really check this myself. What I need for one of you guys to do, is to submit a bug report to PDX on their forum. Preferably with the savegame. I'll keep an eye on those forums and use my limited PDX contacts to keep it from being ignored. In addition, a few people told me they did get the defensive war achievement after the war with Germany. So try to keep going! Good luck!
It still is an issue and I did defeat Germany and got the other ones but the defensive one didn’t fire, it’s not that I lost a province because I did it 4 times
Commenting today and the bugged achievements are still there, watched your guide and got puppet Italy and the achievements didn't pop up, neither the Canton one or the defensive war one, didn't lose territory to Italy, except when Alto-Altige was temporarily controlled by them, one bypass is using something called Steam Achievements Management
@@drew17210sorry for replying late but it's easy, you just have to type in Google the steam achievement management and there should be a GitHub link but also, after crushing Germany with the allies and soviets, the achievements should pop, I got all of them now
For anyone finding this video and not getting any of the achievements. I was able to get all the achievement following this video guide using the Avalanche v1.12.14.50e7 version of HOI4. Thanks for the video guide it was fun following and doing it.

The struggle is insane, I have been playing Switzerland for 5 days straight now trying to do this and kept messing up in tiny things. Thanks to your beautiful guide however, I have finally fixed those and done it, thanks a lot, great tutorial, pleasant to watch, 10/10 for me. :P

@@antasil5768 i didnt get it after italian war but i got it after war with the axis maybe its because i declared war on vichy france and germany declared war on me so it was like defensive war
apparently it is. I had it fail once in about 10 runs. I thought I had it solved with asking for the guarantee once Italy has its wargoal. No other option than to retry. Goodluck!
@@antasil5768 It actually fired after defeating Germany even though I also got the "I'm not locked in here with you" achievement. So it did eventually fire, but not after the peace conference with Italy.
Trying to follow this and I can't go for Allied Gold as the BOP is not where it needs to be. Are you sure you haven't taken any BoP decisions that didn't make it to the edit? I'm at 79 per cent and need to be below 75
Also, as I'm pushing towards Rome, I control enough states to proclaim the Alpine confederation in May'37. If I do this now, it won't mess with the rest of the run?
Its ticking down by its own so it should go there. I watched someone stream this yesterday and he skipped one industry focus at the start, so he had the same problem. If thats not the case, go for another focus in the meantime. Goodluck!
@@Gullikind73 this is basically the same run. Start as the UK, get Mosley, get both the Imperial Federation and the EU for extra cores, conquer the world. Once the achievements for One Empire and turning the world fascist pop up, release 50 random puppets and you get the other achievement
this also happened to me.Apparently Ethiopia goes for the focus boarding the train i think and that makes them “join” the allies and when italy declared on me france joined and somehow i was the attacker.It doesn’t make sense i hope they fix it

I am unable to get France to guarantee me, we have 100 relation and I've tried a couple times. Is it just RNG?

I still curious about how you get so much point to conquer Italy. Im never get more than 20, and my war participation is so small
I encircled and destroyed some of their troops - that helped a lot. In some of my test runs I was less succesful and had a lot less points too
I beat Italy after the declared on me. Didn't lose a tile but achievement didn't fire.

You are right. The achievement is broken. I just installed a version 1.12.14 and tried complete the achievement. Seccessfully

Empire Uk? Bitt3rsteel's guide should still work, but I'll have a look. Thats a fun campaign, especially combining with the federation
