4:11 "If [the Banshee] killed me right there, I'd be a little bit upset."
The first time I succeeded in sliding down the mountain, I got to the Ghost, and the Banshee fired a Banshee Bomb right on me and the Ghost, killing me. Can confirm: I was a little bit upset.

It just happened to me, died picking up the ghost
Every ce mission has some annoying trick required that takes hours of practice.
I tried and tried and tried and still could'nt get it
Banshee grab is a lot easier. I’ve done both but I can’t consistently get the drop but the banshee grab is faster and easier
@@streetfighter351 i got it inversed haha, could pulled this a lot of times but banshee grab only did it 1 time
Banshee grab is impossible for me idk why. The banshee keeps steering in different ways despite me following exactly what the guide says. Drops more consistent
YANA I get banshee grab every time it’s really easy it just took an hour of practice now it’s not bad at all

Love these guides my man. Currently 100% Reach, 3, ODST, and 4. Now working on these cheevos for CE and 2. But man did you have crazy luck with every hog in this series haha.
Silver, if you get a chance to read this, I remember on one of your recent live-streams you talked about how you plan on remaking most/all your achievement guides for MCC. For this video guide specifically, I implore you to demonstrate the banshee trick instead of the bridge fall. Garish Goblin has it on his speedrun video along with a tutorial video as well. The banshee trick is a TRILLION times easier to pull off than the bridge fall and it is also WAY faster since you get a banshee right at the first bridge. I just did it and finished with a time of 05:50 for this level!!! Your videos in general are legendary though. Cheers :)
I fucking love you dude. Took me hours to even get one attempt at the cliff crap in this video to work. But Garish Golbin's method you brought up actually works!
Banshee never spawns for me for some reason

One word to describe me practicing the jump until I got it:
“InTeReStInG”
We can now steal the Banshee when it crashes right there where the mountain jump skip is. It took me 6:33 to complete this mission.

The fact that he's calling himself an idiot while more than half way through assault on the controlroom in 9 minutes, that's the sign of a true pro.
I just got this in 5:26. I'd recommend learning the banshee grab. Its not too difficult and you save even more time. I know Silver has a guide for it somewhere on his channel.
I watched Frogarchist's video on how he beat Assault on the Control Room in 4 mins. (sorry Silver for plugging different videos)
Once you get the banshee grab down, just follow the rest of this guide and you should be set

Did it for the speed run on my 5th try, trying it on LASO took SEVEN FUCKING HOURS
Wow, this is one of the hardest missions in any FPS game, and this guy is fucking doing a speedrun achievement on it. Wth. This is a slap to my face
To anyone who does this but can’t do the bridge jump (like me), i suggest you watch Silver’s laso guide without the bridge jump on this level, and follow that and possibly move past parts faster where you can since it’s not Laso. Grunt funeral and boom help.
Was literally able to do every other level before this with ease. My goat rope stops here at this broke fall

6:25 Playing on MCC PC. The rock directly in front of the ghost, between the pipes/pillars, it's larger/taller for me. I didn't notice at first, but I splattered myself getting into the banshee and had to redo this part. I don't know if it was the same size the first time through, but watching this video and then heading back for the banshee I noticed it.

To anybody still struggling with the bridge drop, I would recommend looking up the banshee grab. It is both faster and easier to pull off

I have just done this on legendary using the banshee method from garish goblin. Took a bit of practice but worked
Got it in 9:28 after practicing the jump for the first time for about an hour and a half. The hardest part for me was to stop falling off of the ledge you land on after the second jump but I made some adjustments and it seems to be more consistent now :)

There's a Banshee trick you can do

I just alternated between trying the jump skip and banshee skip until one worked. Got the jump skip after maybe ten minutes of attempts.
Has to do this since my banshee just wouldn’t spawn no mater what
7:03 I believe one of the doors on the bridge above you is locked, so it'll take another trick if you decide to walk your way up. (Which makes me think, could you imagine what would happen if the door that was locked was the door at 7:49?)

I KEEP FALLING AT THE SECOND DROP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you play with a second player, (either idle or active) you can keep trying to drop while your team mate stays up on top. Once you make it down have him kill himself and he will spawn on you. Rinse and repeat for the second drop. Way quicker and easier. Then just run to the end of the level as shown :)
Whats with the drop? I can make it to that midway point but I just get launched off the cliff
Worst part is the 3rd drop because after dying countless times on the 2nd drop I get it and then botch the 3rd one. 4 times and counting I've botched it.

+adlerains12 I always intended to make a video on this so I'm glad you reminded me. The bridge jump with a partner is super easy once you know where to stand and jump, etc. Should take minimal to zero practice. I'll post it sometime this weekend :)

Did it within 2 tries. Probably wasted most of my time killing the enemies at the beginning (died a couple of times, 'cause I figured I'd just use this try to practise a bit lol).

I keep falling on the second cliff. any tips?
I would just use a second controller so you can spawn off them so you can practice easier.
Do you need to do this to get the achievement how much time will you lose if you don't do this. I can't get the jump at all

Do you have to do the playlist with laso or can you set up your own lobby and do each mission separately with all the correct skulls on?
sierra masterchief For the LASO achievements you need to do the LASO playlists. Make sure you don't start another playlist in the same game or it will reset your LASO playlist progress. You can do playlists in other games, though. For instance, if you're tackling the Halo CE LASO playlist you can play any Halo 2, 3 or 4 playlist without compromising your Halo CE LASO playlist progress. This video in particular is for the speedrun achievements, though.

Same, I wish he would’ve showed the ideal spot. I’ve tried where he accidentally falls and never survive.
Just did it n 10 flat also check your math par times add up to 2hrs 55mins not 3hrs 5mins so no need to save 5 mins if you hit par on all lvls u still have 5 mins to spare

Lawl, "luck." Anyway, despite your combative comment, check out my latest LASO guide for this level I recently posted. Theres a new/easier way to get down nowadays.
@@HaloCompletionist nah I jumped off in my own spot and survived, im saying youre lucky because the RNG of halo is in your favor in your runs, im not so lucky :)
