That room after the jackles is actually right below the reveal room. Instead of going towards the needled ammo, jump on the purple crates to your left and grenade jump straight to the reveal. Saves a good minute.
I did this method today and I got the dead elite from the cutscene in the room and during the cutscene the dead elite wasn't in the cutscene. Got a video of it on my channel.
People would have probably figured this out by now but after all these years I went behind the structure at the end and crouch jumped onto the platform the same one you get teleported too and it ends the level, literally killed no sentinels
When taking the second elevator down, jump off while it’s still moving, onto the top of the doorway structure then just drop on the overshield and slide down the purple crates. Saves a few more seconds.

The only problem with Halo CE, they were so crunched with time, about two months; to get the game ready for release. They reused a lot of textures. Causing confusing layouts and them having to use arrows to guide the player. Highly recommend watching the making of Halo CE

Playing the Collector's Edition, so it doesn't have as many achievements, but thanks to you, I got the achievement to beat the level in under 21 minutes. In fact, I did it faster than you. You made quite a bit of errors. Surprised you uploaded it, but I guess it gets the job done.
its a tad late but still. the point of these runs is not to showcase a perfect speedrun. he even points out his errors in the video. the "goat roped" achievement is the goal here and for that this run is perfectly sufficient. i actually like it more with the errors in because it gives me the feeling that this achievement is a lot more doable even without putting in a lot of time to "train" these runs.

This mission is so well made. Some of the best atmosphere and storytelling in the franchise, possibly _the_ best.
The anniversary version got rid of alot of the creepy atmosphere to it you hardly see any blood
yea 343 fucked up alot of the art style and lighting that made it so good, plus they used the shitty pc port for the og graphics

On Legendary the fast ending is to just kill the sentinels :) Nothing else to it.
Good to know! I was never clear on what exactly ended that level. Destroying everything seemed to be a decent strategy, lol.
According to another speed run guide (Nak3d El1 or somesuch) once 2 sentinels die, the level ends.
