@@vxrosalesit’s a mix of both. Steve’s fear is that there’s no place for him in peacetime.
Peggy says “we can go home…imagine it.”
And the room empties because he *can’t* imagine it.

    • @Souledex
      @Souledex Год назад +14

His fear is definitely that he has to go home and be a person and dance with a girl. He had unknowingly been designed by his experiences to be Captain America and then given every enhancement to do it. When he entered that job he was the best at it of anyone ever - so good and moral and effective it was actually a responsibility, if he wasn't in the room maybe things would be worse. It's the exact opposite of Tony's fear, He's always sucked at normal life things, of course he'd be scared to let people down, and he gave himself and everyone else every justification he could think of for why he would never have to do that.

The ballroom is filled with flashes and the sound of missiles, people are punching each other, someone's cradling his fallen buddy and mopping the red (wine) off his chest, we know Peggy's still alive but Steve sees her with a huge red bloom on *her* chest. All his old friends as he knew them are long gone and he can still never free himself from the war. Both Loki and Ultron recognized this.

I had wished at the time that they had made an after credit scene for Stan Lee's cameo. It would be after that first Ultron attack after the party, and the whole place is still a mess. Some little old janitor played by Stan Lee comes along with a garbage trolly and a little broom sweeping up. He comes to where the table is to clean up all the rubble on top, and Mjolnir is in the way. He very casually lifts it up and sweeps underneath before placing it back down, and then continues pushing his trolly and cleaning up as he goes off camera. Of course Stan Lee is worthy. There's plenty of reasons why the scene doesn't work, but it's darn charming.

I wish I could say, without spoilers, that you are by far one of the most alert and perceptive reactors I've ever seen. You catch the story and recognize the significance of a lot of details almost instantly.
Your edits make it seem like you're not keeping up, or slow on the uptake, but I don't really take those seriously. You see things coming, and you realize what something means later if you miss the first pass.

'Captain's Orders.' I love that they brought him back for this cameo. Also it makes 'story sense' as Fury had to scramble to get an old SHIELD Heli-Carrier out of mothballs (see Agents of SHIELD for a bit about that). Now, where does he get personnel trained to run it? SHIELD is gone. Who is trained and who can he trust? That tech sure passes the test for me. 'I want to know what Thanos is up to!' No. You really don't.

Marvel purposefully let it leak that a protagonist was going to die in this movie. Throughout the whole movie they set you up to think it was going to be Barton. Right when you think Barton is going to die, Pietro dies instead. There's some nuance as to why they had to kill Pietro off in this movie and I'm sure somebody else has probably already explained it in the comments so I won't bother. The fact that we were made to think it was going to be Barton is why that line "you didn't see that coming" was so powerful.

I swear to God Jax, and I'm not even exaggerating this, but you have the absolute BEST first time reactions to any RUclipsr I've watched (and I follow a LOT). And it's because you don't just watch a movie and make a few jokes or comments here and there. All throughout your MCU journey, you've studied every movie as you've watched it. You analyze and pick apart the tiniest details as they're happening in front of you. You take what you've learned and tried to use that to predict what's to come. You remember all the small moments from previous movies and piece everything together as it all interconnects. And I absolutely LOVE that that last several videos have been getting slightly longer and longer so we get to see even more in depth reactions.
Also, random side note but I don't know if you noticed... when Steve tried picking up the hammer, it DID actually budge just a tiny bit. That's why Thor looked so concerned. Steve had actually moved it just a hair!

Someone as strong as the Hulk with a basic raging personality, probably only "fears" being squish down and put on a box (mentally) by Banner; for him to not let him out and eventually get rid of him forever, for Banner to have complete control over his body... But the first Avengers movie was a culmination of all the solo films, everyone coming together for an epic conclusion of phase 1. It was a great way to end a chapter, but this Avengers movie didn’t really do that - it felt like more of an intermission, so I still think it was a let-down in that regard for being an Avengers movie. CA: Civil War felt like more of an Avengers-level conclusion IMO, even if it was technically the beginning of phase 3.

The new helper AI in the suit is Friday, voiced by Jennifer Connolly. She's married to Paul Bettany (JARVIS/Vision). And, yes, she has a faint Irish accent.
Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch have a complex past. Back in the 90s Marvel needed cash, quickly, so they sold the rights to Spider-Man to Sony, and the X-Men to Fox. In fact, for a while the MCU couldn't even use the word "mutant," hence "enhanced." After negotiations Fox got Quicksilver (he appears in the First Class movies) and the MCU got Wanda. That's why Pietro died.
... Now Disney owns Fox, so we can expect the X-Men to show up, eventually. I think the Fantastic Four are first.

You must have missed when Cap tried to lift the hammer and it squeaked
That's why Thor seemed so panicked.

Ahh my lovely wholesome lady has returned to marvel. Can't wait to watch this reaction. Your editor or yourself made a mistake. His name is Nicolas Joseph Fury. He is referred to as fury. As for those comments they are wrong and you are correct even if they say otherwise. Just wait until you watch Captain Marvel when he is referred to and indeed refers to himself as nick. That accent was a bad Irish one and if lamby is Irish then she is my cousin because I'm Scottish ❤

Hello! I didn't realize Fury's middle name was Joseph. What a fun fact! Also, I love Scotland. I visited Edinburgh with my family a few years back. Lamby is 100% Irish and then my mom's side of the family came from Ireland. So we are very distant cousins! ❤️

Steve moved the hammer slightly and then let it go. Thor noticed that Steve moved it.

The child you saw on Nat's phone... Clint's third child. Notice the shirt.
Nathaniel Pietro "Nate" Barton is the third child of Clint and Laura Barton. He is named after two Avengers, with his first name being the masculine form of Natasha, after Natasha Romanoff, while his middle name is in tribute to Pietro Maximoff.
Edit: in the comics Captain America always would say.... "Avengers Assemble" which fans were waiting for him to say in the movies.
