  • Today I'll be sharing my experience with my BEC (now BMP) tuning MK7.5 replica LED headlights. These are a great way to improve the light output and looks of your MK7 or MK7.5 Golf or GTI with the halogen headlights, but is it really worth the upgrade?
In this video I will share what I like and dislike about the headlights, as well as some before and after driving clips, and ultimately sharing whether or not I would recommend them.

I just installed these today. I am so happy with how they look and the hard line is certainly annoying but overall I still consider these so much better than the stock halogen. If you figure out how to adjust these, it would be great if you posted a video. I think BMP was going to post an adjustment video but I can’t seem to find one.

I'm not sure exactly how they're supposed to be adjusted, but if you want to mess around with them on your own, there are some rotating screw things behind each bulb that move the projectors up or down depending if you rotate them clock-wise or counter-clock-wise

The small little orange piece in the back of the headlight is the adjuster, you'll need a 5mm socket I believe and you can adjust the vertical adjustment

Hey could you just install the GTI grille to continue that red line

I could, it’s very easy to remove the grille (part of the process to swap the headlights too), but I don’t think I will

I have these OEM but I’m curious, How are they during sunny days? In my experience with aftermarket headlights is, the DRL lights are weak and not as bright as OEM strips. They get drowned out by the sun and way dimmer.

They seem to be okay, now that I think about it though they might not be as bright as OEM, they are not as bright as my F30 DRLs either

How much do these go for usually?

New around 900 and used roughly 5-600 I think

@@BrendonWagner Gotchya. Aren’t the OEM SE LEDs like around that price? Well… maybe for just one housing. But would it be possible to do an oem vw led swap? I might consider that, or just get these in the future. Idk

@@oloyolo6711 Depends if you can find a used set, but there's a lot more coding and added components to retrofit the OEM LEDs, I've heard it can cost upwards of 2-3k USD

@@BrendonWagner Yeah that’s true, and I heard it’s at that price range too. The seller told me I can try a pick/pull if there’s a crashed one lol. That’ll be hard to find locally though
