I just fitted a samsung hob and the 5 terminals weren't laid out like this nor like the Whirlpool I took out. So I followed the instructions and all is well. Only thing was the connection links were supplied in the terminal box but not fitted. Here in the UK, on single phase, I needed to connect terminals 1,2,3 to Live and 4 to Neutral. Ground to Ground, obviously. Job done.
Am probably being blond but I have a bush freestanding cooker came with no cable, ordered a cable but it won't fit under nor stay down with screws. Is 10mm cable too thick?
Hi Simon, the other end of the cable should be connected to the switched outlet which is specifically for the cooker. This MUST be installed by a qualified person
What wire did you use for installation mate as old cooker ran on 10mm twin earth but this wont fit into new cooker and upon reading instruction doesnt clarify which wire to use ?
Hi sorry to bother you but i asking for some free advice if thats ok, im having a problem with my eletric cooker and thats the wire connectors at the back, where the main eletric wires connects to the cooker on the back, i think the damp is getting to mine and they keep going rusty and snapping off, the main eletric cooper wire has gone green which is due to damp isnt it? and thats made the connector go rusty and snapp off, well i thinks that the problem unless there is something else wrong which i dont know, any help very greteful. thanks matt
Thanks. I followed your instructions and my stove works perfectly. You saved me N$ 200. Thanks a million.
