@@evedavey2475 yes ,actually 'ORO" was the later edition with added bonus tracks in Spanish and a more complete release imo.I still own the original vynil from 1980 with 10 Spanish songs titled "Gracias por La musica".Had a nice cover in a letter framed photo-shot.
Watching you talk has cleared up a point for me. Looking closely at your lips and teeth I can see (and hear) you pronounced the name of this group as AVVA 😊 (and there is nothing wrong with that!), which gives my own name a very interesting twist ! 😊😊😊😊
ABBA's journey from Eurovision winners to world-wide stars is amazing. They have many, many hits, and have movies and musicals that pay homage to their songs. A rabbit hole worth going down.
I was going to write something similar but you put it better, how hard would it be to sing this while being on stage with the person you are singing about though!
Definitely recommending the Spanish version of their song Chiquitita, they gave all profits from the song to UNICEF and it has given them more than $5 million since 1979
First Music I remember hearing as a small Child. I remember having a small yellow casette recorder and listened to this song when I was about 3 years old.
Thought it was going to be their song 'Eagle' because that is all I could see. Never seen any other reactor obscure this video before and I have seen quite a few.
People who say they don´t love ABBA are lying. Since you have an eagle covering the video, you should react to their song "Eagle" Those harmonies with Agnetha and Anni-Fris are insanly good
It´s hard to fathom that there are people in Europe that have never heard of ABBA or listened to this song. But time goes on, nothing lasts forever. The magic of ABBA works on new generations too, hopefully.
They're more than a band, they are two couples. With various breakups and ups and downs which inspired many of their songs, but they remained together in some form or another.
ABBA's phenomenal success in 1979 in Latin America with the single 'Chiquitita" had made them record a whole album in Spanish titled 'GRACIAS POR LA MUSICA".My favest tracks from in there are 'AL ANDAR"/"!Dame!Dame!Dame" and 'Chiquitita".I'm surprised you weren't that familiar to 'The Winner takes it all" this is a Universal pop classic. Btw Have you heard at least 'Dancing Queen" by them?I bet you have heard even some bits of it somewhere.
They were two married couples, and the biggest hit worldwide ever.....and traveled the world on tours. Then both couples divorced.......they broke up. In recent years they are at least on speaking terms and have done a few things together such as a musical.....with actors playing them.
I love seeing kids like you watching for the first time groups I grew up on. Abba was massive in the 1970s and 1980s with hits like Mamma Mia for instance. Now sadly the group are pretty old and they don't perform but they were ahead of their time back then and each song is mesmerizing. They were from Sweden and English is not their main language, they just learn broken English to get by and learned the songs in English word perfect.
There was a time when ABBA was so dominant in the music on the radio in Europe, that it wasn't cool any more to like them. 🙂Their music is still incredibly good, the compositions and especially the vocalists. Without any tricks like Melodyne (Autotune) they had perfect harmonies. Great singers.
You can't go wrong with anything ABBA... at least 20 songs worth listening to. They just released 2 songs in the last year or two after a long hiatus... and they STILL sound amazing! The two songs you need to do now that your channel is growing: "We are the World" and The Bee Gee's Too Much Heaven... you'll be glad you did! Good luck!
ABBA - Goat of pop! ❤A real wonderful rabbithole and they are really versitale, sang in five languages! A next stop - why not another huge hit from back then - Chiquitita? The Spanish version was number 1 in Mexico for 32 weeks! They were brilliant LIVE aswell, no autotune back then - best options from Wembley or Australia. Many of the other ones in studios are playbacks because the TV-productions wanted it to be so back then. Suggestion of a popsong - why not ”Gimme, Gimme, Gimme”?
This was a real thing, she was married to one of the band members (the one playing guitar in the video) and the song was written during their breakup. I don't think you understood anything from the song.
ABBA is acronim with initials of Their first names, two swedish couples: Agnetha (blonde singer) & Björn (guitarist songwriter) Benny (pianist songwriter) & Anni Frid 'Frida' (brunette singer) both couples separated before the break up of the group "The winner takes it all" (1980) is one of the Best Songs by ABBA and the Most sad and emotional too The best lyrics and the greatest performing with the amazing Interpretation of the lead singer in this TV show express at Germany 1980 you could see the same blonde Agnetha free and natural in the next song "Super Trouper" and very energetic in the last song "On and on and on" (and with her ex husband) but the people who see it only here (and not the whole mini show) are left with the incomplete morbidity of the guitarist who wrote the song for their recently divorced ex-wife But it's a performance of ABBA, with magnificent interpretation of Agnetha, that She knows how to transmit with Her gestures and body and facial expression the spirit and feeling of the songs (I remember Her in others songs before like "S.O.S." or "I've been waiting for You" from 1975, when She was happily married) The lyrics is a fiction, it is not about Their real life, although it is obviously influenced by Their own experiences and the realization of the legal divorce in the middle of 1980, even though They were no longer a couple or lived together more than a year and half ago, at the end of 1978 I suggest to see the next songs in these TV show: "Super Trouper" with the brunette singer Frida in lead voice (same TV studio, staff and outfits) ABBA have more than 20 worldwide hits between 1972/1982, included: Waterloo, Fernando, Dancing Queen, Take a chance on me, Chiquitita All these songs are in your album recopilation GOLD (1992) that have much more than 1.000 weeks at Top 100 in UK Official Charts (first group singer or artist to do it)
You gained some good views from this one.Abba is a phenomenon in pop culture and has a big army of loyal fans for almost 5 decades(estimation of over 400 million records sold).Try some more ABBA,we'll be ghere with you to share.
They had 23+ worldhits and many more brilliant unique album tracks. The official video clip is much better in my opinion. They also do the background vocals themselves. (And producing) they are out of this world!!

Money money money Lay all your love on me Gimme gimme gimme Super Trouper Knowing me knowing you One of us is lying When I kissed the teacher Waterloo Thank you for the music And many more; one of the greatest bands of alle time!!!
This is the musical version of a divorce. This song describes it all. People think it's the band breaking up but it actually isn't. As the guitar player Björn explained it in an interview a few years ago when they made a comeback: "Contrary to popular belief, ABBA never actually never split up. The girls were exhausted and had hit a wall. They needed a break from touring, so we took a break. Artistry and song writing being in our blood, we started doing separate things and all of a sudden 40 years had gone by. But the four of us have always remained best friends and ABBA was just on a break."
ABBA never actually fell apart. Their marriages did, but never the band. Björn explained in an interview that people thought ABBA was no longer a band but that they actually still were. The reason for why they disappeared was because Agnetha and Anni-Frid were burned out so they decided to take a break. The reason for the break was so that the band wouldn't break apart. Being artists and creatives, they started doing other side projects and before they knew it 40 years had gone by.

I was feeling down so the doctor told me to take two ABBA songs every day ❤❤❤❤
They released several songs in Spanish as well.
Epic song. The song is Aboud her and her husband divorce he is playing guitar in this video. Abba legends love your reaction SG

First Music I remember hearing as a small Child. I remember having a small yellow casette recorder and listened to this song when I was about 3 years old.
Not Abba, but ABBA. Based on the first letters of the performers' names: Agneta, Bjorn, Benny, Anni-Frid.
Thought it was going to be their song 'Eagle' because that is all I could see. Never seen any other reactor obscure this video before and I have seen quite a few.

It’s good that you’re noticing all these great things but I think you missed the lyrics.
Absolutely. She didn’t pick up on the lyrical message at all. Maybe after she hears it a few more times. So many clues.
The blonde girl was Agnitha, who definitely had the best soprano voice in popular music at the time.
"Agnetha"
'At any time'🙂
If you really enjoyed this ABBA experience, you should check out some of the songs that they sang in Spanish.
Please investigate the history and meaning behind this song! ❤
There is no "meaning". It’s a simple pop song talking about a fictional divorce. There is no "meaning" in King Kong song either. Only pop.
No, it isn't. It is about real heartbreak. Nothing fictional. I do not speak unless I am sure of my facts.

It's a fiction story of a divorce
obviously with influences of their lifes
of Agnetha & Björn, and Benny & Frida
They're more than a band, they are two couples. With various breakups and ups and downs which inspired many of their songs, but they remained together in some form or another.
You need to listen to the words - it's actually a very sad song about divorce.
`have always remained best friends`, I do not think so.
ABBA wrote their best songs as they were falling apart. 😢
ABBA never actually fell apart. Their marriages did, but never the band. Björn explained in an interview that people thought ABBA was no longer a band but that they actually still were.
