I have both the 7n1 Griddle Grill and now this Sizzle. What I can tell y’all, after 6 cooks, is this device gets HOT FAST! I’m finding the need to turn this down by at least 25°F. The fact that no fat drips directly onto the heating element means no smoke. Keeping temp lowered also plays a part. The heating element design makes for wall-to-wall even heat. When melting cheese, I turn unit off and lower lid. If I want to completely use residual heat, I have a baking mat that fits perfectly over the perforated holes. I’m totally loving the Sizzle. The plates are very easy to clean, including the grease wells. Should Ninja make another one of these, I would love to see Dual heat.
It's steam not smoke that you're seeing..the "smokeless" advertising is just an example of them saying its a "flameless grill" aka electric. Sadly there isn't any innovation in this that hasn't been done in electric griddles and grills for the last 15 years. It doesn't really seem that worthwhile when you can do this exact process on a modern stove top with a frying pan since it's electric. Nice video showcasing it-i feel like you hit all the points on this that anyone would want to know.
It would interesting to see this item compared to the ninja indoor grill and griddle. For example if one preheats longer or if one is better at smoke control. Great video
what happens if the grease trap overflows from cooking more than 4 hamburgers at a time? Is there a way to quickly empty the grease tray and continously cook burgers, say at at like a party event?
I wonder why you can only use canola. This would cause me not to buy, cuz I never use canola. Do you know why? It makes no sense. I wanna love this grill.
They tell you to use canola because it has a high smoke point between 400F and 450F and a flash point of around 620F. In short they want to minimise the smoke from cooking and the risk of fire.
0:47 Please tell me how you got the lid off! I have tried everything trying to get mine off to clean it and it's fully affixed to this thing! It looked like you just lifted yours off, but mine won't do that! 😕 I looked all through the booklet that came with it but nowhere does it say a thing about removing the lid. 🤬
If the lid is all the way open, bring it back towards you a little bit until it is at a right angle to the grill (ie., 90 degrees). Then it should lift off very easily.
My gourmia food station grill runs circles all over this ninja thing. I bought it from costco several days ago on sale for $79! The thing heats up to 510 degrees F, and leaves nice char marks without over cooking the food. Even the griddle attachment gets nearly just as hot
I've been comparing these two, and Gourmia seems like it's an actual smokeless grill. This Ninja is just a hot plate, an electric griddle. What's the difference between this and cooking burgers in a pan on the stove? I have to cover the pan with a lid or foil to keep the splatter down. I don't get the advantage of having this grill.
@ErichCervantez wdym u dont get the advantage its a grill lmao whats the advantage of any of these table top grills is the convenience of turning it on and it heating up real fast and easy to clean , why does anybody buy these grills when they can just get a pan and cook it on the stove
@@carlamacynski1870 you know what I realized? After a week of using the grill, I found out how g3y it actually is. That thing was a pain in the butt to clean. I took it right back to Costco without even cleaning it and I replaced it with a set of ceramic frying pans that I got for $50 from Costco! Just use a frying pan like a normal person.
It looked like the grease tray got pretty full with just the four patties. I guess you would have to let the grill plate cool off to a safe temperature to empty the grease if you were going to do more patties at a time which would slow down the cooking time I would think.
No cool down needed. Just turn unit off briefly. Use mits and gently remove plate. Pour off grease using one corner or the other by grease well. Place plate back on grill. Turn back on.
I'm a Ninja fan, but my Cuisinart Griddler cooks burgers in 4 minutes. The down side is the grease, it's in the air, like pan frying. I need something that contains flying grease. If that's possible.

Using butter would be fine it won't harm the plates but you will need to cook at low temperatures which negates the point of the machine really. The reason is butter will start burning and reach it's smoke point at 350F.
Saying it's smokeless when it smokes like crazy opens the door for McDonalds to say The Big Mack is fat free, animal free, gluten free, carb free and oil free and with a straight face serve you their burger.
I seems they got away by calling it “smokeless” only by technicality. I am guessing it has a heat management system that prevents it from going over the burning/ smoking temperature of what ever you cooking, so it wouldn’t smoke. That’s way they don’t recommend using butter or olive oil because those have a lower smoking temperature and would definitely smoke. The smokeless thing kinda feels like misleading advertisement. It’s a great appliance nonetheless, it just doesn’t need the smokeless claim. When testing it, did it have uneven heat distribution? It looked like the burgers at the back cooked faster, great review btw
Just an fyi, the directions say “NO COOKING SPRAY” but that’s what you used. Read is cooking spray ruins non stick. Get yourself a refillable spritz bottle and fill it with avocado oil and use that.
