Might be right, he is right lol its steam, I take it this is your first time cooking. How can you review products and not know the basics. Don't give up your day job!
I’m so glad someone said it’s not smoke. So tired of seeing reviews and people saying it’s smoke. These same people would think they have smoke when they are cooking eggs in a frying pan or pork chops in a frying pan or anything in a frying pan… It is steam from the moisture coming out of the food
I own it, bought one for my son. it is the best grill I have ever owned. The flat grill is good for cooking breakfast, etc. I don't understand why he didn't use the one made for cooking steaks, chops, etc. Maybe it has something to do with the browning, not sure. Mine is pretty smokeless but anyone that uses one and worries about smoke, like in condos, apartments, etc., should put the grill on or near the stove and turn on the vent. No grill, I've owned them all, is totally smokeless. What I like about the grill is the grill and it's simplicity for cooking and cleaning.
Your review of this product was spot on for what it was designed for. The nice thing about these indoor Grill/Griddles is that you can sear at a very high heat without totally smoking up your kitchen. When I bring my cast iron skillet up to 500 deg. to sear my meat, (necessary for a crispy crust and pink interior) my whole kitchen fills with smoke and my wife gets mad. 😡😱 I have Ninja's higher end version of this unit that also has the powered Grill/Griddle, but is a 7 in 1 multi purpose air fryer as well. (the IG651) I can sear my steaks and burgers now without smoking up the kitchen like the cast iron does. My steaks and burgers are super delicious and the wife remains happy. 🥰😇
Thanks so much for watching and your additional comments here!! Agreed on the smoke - my smoke detectors are SO sensitive and this doesn't set them off!
This is exactly why I'm considering buying this, (smoke and spatter with cast iron) I bought the Hamilton Beach one, it was on sale and had I seen this one might have bought it instead, I love the one I bought but not easy to clean like they stated, there are small through holes that drip down to a tray, this one looks super easy to clean, love the grill marks I can create though on the Hamilton Beach, looks easy to do on this one too
I liked the old George Foreman grill better, but sadly mine has finally seen better days. It can cook BOTH sides at the same time, so is twice as fast, and it was angled so the grease all slid away into the catch tray. They still make them, but not like they used to :(
The only thing I don’t like about the George foremen grill is that outside of cooking burgers, the food doesn’t really come out great due to the grill steaming the food
@@miguelrobb5719 That's exactly WHY I used to like the George Foreman, because I don't like black grill marks (some studies show they're cancerous) and I used the grill A LOT so I wanted to avoid charring anything.
@@Big_E_247I would bet the red meat (assuming you are using red meat) is hundreds of times as bad for you as the little charring you get from the grill marks... pretty much everything causes cancer and is bad for you one way or another. Cool ! I guess we're a little late to the game as I received this same grill xmas 2024. Great to read the positive and enjoyed the video. Thanks Happy 2025 grilling ! 😊
I completely submerge them in soapy water, so I think so! I'm not 100% sure what's recommended' but I've been doing exactly this for months now with no issues.
Man.... good try? First off that egg probably was done sooner than the other and then got burnt onto the griddle, you should watch and be able to tell when egg is ready to be flipped. Secondly, that burger wasnt done, which has nothing to do with the grill, just user error. And third, no way that steak was room temp before you put it on the griddle, it was stiff as a board.. lol You will learn as you go I guess.
Your smokeless feature isn’t that much better than my cast iron. I will admit though. I am a sucker for kitchen gadgets. The cast iron is pretty much for those that don’t want to spend the extra money to buy these gadgets if they already own them. I do like the massive cooking surface that these gadgets has especially if you switch to the griddle pan attachment. I’m currently cooking with a George Foreman grill and it kinda sucks when it comes to cooking anything unrelated to burgers. I might have been a little too harsh on these cooking gadgets recently.
I bought one and I returned it, smoked up my whole house took about few days to smell out of my house, and the oil splattered all over my counter is works just like a grill outside, nothing to suck the smoke in is all B.S cheap and crappy design, I returned it to Amazon the first cooking time, do not buy this crap!!!!
@@ourfavoritefinds I think the heat was perfect. You have to have that high heat to get that crispy crust and nice pink interior. That's why it tasted so amazing! 😋
i love how non cook/chefs, hear the word "nonstick" and assume you use no butter or oil? smdh
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's not smoke, that's steam...smoke would be black and come from an actual flame.
Huh, interesting, you might be right!!
Smoke comes from oil molecules breaking down from high heat. Flame is irrelevant. It's smoke. Trick for smokeless is to use a high smoke point oil.
Mate....lol

The plate doesn’t angle doesn’t towards the grease trap because some prefer to cook on the grease, not lose it.
I lov mine. I just spay a little none stick spray when cooking anything and nothing sticks.

Heck yeah!!
Thank you I am using mine tonight for the first time
How'd it go?
bro dont use a metal flipper on a non stick surface. Your going to scratch it and ruin it. Also its not smoke its steam.
Fair point. Why do you think it’s all steam though?
Does it make your house smell like cooking?
Thanks you. I’m on my way to Costco now.
Looks good man, doesn't seem like a bad product for $100. Looks nicer than similar products and seems much easier to clean.
Agreed!

It’s showing $140 online, do u have a link for $99??
Unfortunately the price has gone up since I made this 😢 There are some used (good condition) ones on amazon under $100!

It's not 99 for the griddle combo.
It’s $99.99 on Amazon for the griddle combo right now.
