The nice thing about the Kakuno (or any of these Pilot steel nibbed pens) is that you can pull the nib and feed out and give everything a good scrub if it ever quits writing. 😀
I love the blue of Golden Lapis so much that I syringe it out to avoid the shimmer that I let settle at the bottom. I've been looking for a comparable blue and appreciate your comparisons but none of your other inks look like a close match.
I know what you mean! I like to play with shimmer inks, but when it comes to actual writing, I prefer ink without shimmer. It would be nice if companies would offer a choice of ink with or without the shimmer. 😀
Hi Cathy, I know that you like Pilot pens like I do. Did you see that they are raising their prices by quite a bit in October? You may want to buy any that you want before then. I have been buying mine from Japan lately for very good prices. Ebay seller penpen-avenue has the best selection and prices I’ve found.
Hi Peggy! I didn't know that Pilot was going to raise prices again. At the moment I'm pretty content with my collection. In fact I was thinking about selling my Custom Heritage 92 (F) because I seem to be favoring my Vanishing Point (F). But if Pilot is about to get more expensive, I think I'll hang on to it. I wouldn't want to let it go and then change my mind and have to spend even more to replace it. I checked out penpen-avenue on eBay and saved them as a seller. They have a nice selection and good prices. Thanks for the info! 😀

This ink managed to completely clog my platinum preppy (F) feed, I'm impressed the kakuno wrote for you at all.

Can the Shimmer damage the pen?
I don't think so. If you let the ink dry out in the pen it may be more difficult to clean, but I don't think it would cause any damage.
