Great Documentary about legendary Boxer Sugar Ray Leonard when he visited the United Kingdom. The Video Quality is only "fair" but it is still an excellent documentary
I loved the sparring match...notice Ray's smile disappeared when the 'exhitbition' became a fight..The other dude should known what he was dealing with..a pro
He was told only to the body. Sugar Ray is one of the fastest boxers. When he punches it’s with mean intention. Still think he would have taken out Mayweather Jnr. This is when boxing was boxing. Lenord, Duran, Hagler, Hearns. Great boxing times.
@@darrellsmith8690 Leonard may not have taken Mayweather Jr out, but it would have been very competitive and Leonard possibly could have won. Leonard pretty much started as a Welterweight, Mayweather Jr only had about 13 fights as a Welterweight. Leonard faced much higher competition.
Leonard would take about 10 rounds for Mayweather in his prime too actively busy, every named fighter Mayweather went against backed him up to the ropes, but I think shelling up on the ropes wouldn't work with sugar Ray Leonard on you he wouldn't get away with counter punching him in the middle either SRL just keep circling around him
Sinclair is a well known Face (ganster) in his home City in England.. He had a docu made about him 20years after this fight and was telling the story - he says Ray got serious with him when he made the mistake of hittin Ray too hard..He says Ray hit him with such a body shot that he couldn't breathe..
They pay sugar to come on the Cruze and mingle, sign autographs and dance with the rich white old people . He agrees to a fun little boxing match with buddy . Meanwhile buddy thinks he just got a rocky balboa shot at the tittle and starts training in the basement like clubber Lang 😂😂
Sugar was a true legend, he fought everybody. He fought duran only 3-4 years after his amateur career..he fought hearns, hagler, benitez, and even comacho 25 years after he turned pro.. when he was way past it..here we see him fighting lower deck brawlers on ships..
This was recorded in 1982-83 … u fucking bozo … this was not recorded in 1997 … u fucking bozo lol u clearly can tell by the footage that it’s the early 80s 😏
Sugar Ray Leonard has almost as much class out of the ring as he had in it. A thoroughly enjoyable documentary concerning one of the greatest fighters of all time. Thanks for uploading.
Sinclair looked good reminded me of Nick Nolte in Rich Man Poor man, he should have improved and went professional. On SRL he was just an amazing athlete, don't mess with him !
Fukkin hell, he's the worse mover for a Black Man I've ever seen on the dance floor..Suppose God gives it to us in some ways and takes it away in others..
And Gayweather and his plastic boxing fans think he's better than Ray learnard and Robinson 😅 Gayweather fights exactly like his dad and we all know what happened there
Learnard ducked haggler for years and only went after him after haggler said the mugabe fight took a lot out of him, learnard was good but he was not Robinson good, and I still think haggler won haggler is in top 5 worlds best middleweight
ROCK YOU DONT KNOW BOXING do ya a prime leonard would have beaten hagler made him look foolish why do hagler fans always make excuses hagler lost to the Great SRL get over it he didnt duck him he had taken 5 yrs off and still beat him fair and square!! did you ever have an major eye injury no so dont judge a man until you walk in his shoes ive had a major eye injury it changes you was never the same playing hockey!!
I dont get it, you can jab on a exhibition fight? They had been trading since the beginning of the fight, he was hiting the guy and even showing off, but when he got hit he snapped?
First of all he had no business being in there with sugar Ray and the sad thing about this they still doing it today putting fighters in the ring with fighters they have no business in there with knowing they ain't got a change

so crazy a dude so small and seems so soft is a straight killer in his sport

@@darrellsmith8690 Leonard would’ve easily beat mayweather

ray Leonard was a great athlete. speed, power, and grace. his movement in the ring was poetry in motion.
Those bodyshots were so reminiscing.

Interesting documentary!
Sugar Ray Leonard is 5’8? I thought he was 5’10
If Ray Leonard was really 5’8 then Hagler would be 5’6-7, and no way Duran is 5’5, that would mean Pacquaio would be 5’3
He was really 5'9 1/2, not 5'8.
11:29 his training partner took those shots like a boss
You know that! That was some punk moves by Sinclair. I wish Sugar would of put more hurtin on him.

I've never seen this exhibition with the heavy champion of QEII. Great documentary.
Don't get cute with ray Leonard

If u have ever been hit in the kidneys by a trained boxer u know whats thats like!

Bizarre snapshot of the early 80s

Steve is on a Danny dyer documentary called deadliest men.Should be on RUclips.
No he fought 41 times, won 36, lost 3, and draw 1

32:00 ish mins
But at the same time it is the fighters choice to step through the ropes and fight.
That was a 3 piece wings with hot sauce.
...there will be "NO MO".....did you hear me?
I wouldn't class Muhammed Ali as an ex Pug!. Good God
"And then it happens" ....

Think it was something to do with his eye having surgery and he aimed directly for it.
