I hope this does not sound rude but here's the thing: starship is a COMPANY and like all companies they exist for the sole purpose of making profits and if one group/member of a group is what's making them the most money then they're gonna prioritize them and treat them way better than the other groups or members who don't bring them the same amount of profits I know it's sad but it's the truth
Simply, Its a marketing technique. People know and love Yujin & WY more, Starship knew that and used it. The more people talk or like Yujin & WY, the more Starship pushed them. It isn't Starship's fault for pushing them, Starship is pushing them because they know netizens talk about & know more about Yujin & WY. It isn't Starship's fault, yall made both of them popular.
The truth is, any group that had Yujin and Wonyoung in it would be successful i.e. the other members are very replaceable it's a fact. If you replaced the other 4 members of IVE, IVE would still be a success truthfully.

Wonyoung and Yujin where pushed more to the public eye during "ELEVEN" but with "Love Dive" everyone is basically equal. To be honest it was smart move from Starship part to poromote IVE more with Wonyoung and Yujin beucse they are huge and company like Startship does not have power to make every of their group members into instant super stars. And yes, Wonyoung has a lot of solo promotions, but she was huge before IVE and she's not a rookie anymore meanwhile other group members (outside of Yujin) are rookies and rookies don't get a lot of solo promotions.

The thing is brands and companies want who they want to promote their things. Wonyoung and Yujin have been getting brand deals since before IVE and Starship isn’t just going to cease or step back on accepting those deals just because others in the group doesn’t get as many deals. I got into IVE because of Rei and Liz, and then found out that Wonyoung and Yujin were in the group. I have such high hopes for IVE’s third comeback because all of their songs have been added to my library and I couldn’t stop singing ELEVEN or doing the LOVE DIVE dance after they came out

It's really frustrates me how people have been full time attacking her for this "Wonyoung and friends" narrative. My non kpop fans cousins actually became fans of Ive because they kept asking me "who's that blonde girl" in eleven they all fell in love with Liz. I dont hate her nor dislike her. Im not really her fan BUT I am a fan of IVE as a whole. Also, I found Wonyoung has that "expensive" quality in her. I felt bad for the other members at first, but when I started watching the love dive performances I realized no matter what Wonyoung stands out. And it’s not accidental. Her facial expressions and dancing cause it. She may not always swing her hair but the way she portrays the song is excellent. She’s the only one that does the “my God I love it” part with feeling. Just the way she turns her face. Anyway. She is popular because she’s hard working, talented, and beautiful. So give her props. If you want other members to be popular then support them. as a Blink, I need to say Wonyoung is currently experiencing what Jennie had to endure, especially during BP's rookie days. especially the nicer clothes "issue". funny thing is there are times when Lisa got the flashier clothes and "fans" were complaining that stylists gave her ugly stuff, just for Lisa to come out and say she picked that specific clothes herself. It bothers me that there are so many people denying Starship's favoritism with Wonyoung. Even if you try to cover it with excuses, what is happening is clear. Wonyoung always has the cutest and most striking outfits, she has more screen appearances, she promotes more, she has many solo activities, among other things. That kind of thing doesn't happen too much anymore, Starship is valuing the other girls more. But this happened a lot in the early days of IVE. And Wonyoung is not to blame!! That's the other side of the business, the company priority is to earn money and 2nd is their artist safety, because without safety then the companies money maker will be gone. It won't matter who's popular or not, it's a business strategy, you got to use your card to earn money and it's good, it helps boost their group popularity. They have contracts, once that contracts ends, they won't know if the group or artist will resign with the label. Every group need a catching member and Wonyoung is that member since she was so famous in IZ*ONE. She is vital for the group to thrive and get recognition, sponsorships and new fans. Whether you like it or not, whether your bias is the catching member or not just swallow the pill and it will get better. She's the center or the face of the group and it's normal in kpop. Idk why it's a big deal suddenly.
It’s maybe a hard pill for some to swallow, but kpop is a business and Starship has the responsibility to make the group as profitable as possible. In the end, it’s the best for EVERYONE in the group if they’re popular. Even if 1 member is being pushed to be more popular (if it's fair, is another question). It’s normal that 1 member is being pushed, because that member lures people to the group. And, as you can see with other groups (think: Jennie Blackpink, Karina Aespa and a good example of mismanagement, is Suzy in Miss A). A lot of people are drawn in because of 1 member and like the group, but then will learn more about the group and sometimes have another bias or be even more popular at the end (like how Lisa is now more popular in general). Without WO or YU, the group wouldn’t be as popular. And, at the end the other members will profit from that also. Because, the more people like the group, the more money they shall earn and the company will give attention to them. YES, company’s are somethings really misbehaving to other members. But i do think Starship is doing a decent job compared to other company’s. Don’t forget, that all the members from IVE are employees for Starship and being an idol is the job they have. And i personally think al the members shine in their own way. I was also drawn in because of the hate of WO and then looked in to IVE more because of it. PS: I KNOW they’re a lot of BAD company’s who are treating idols awfully. Yes, it is sometimes bad for a company to focus all of its focus on one person. Wonyoung is not only the most popular member in the group but also one of the most popular idols in Korea overall, she has the general public attention, everyone loves her and want to see her, if IVE is this popular right now it's mostly thanks to her and starship actually did a pretty good job if you compare to other companies, they have great budge and producers working with them, solid promotions as a group and the other members also get schedules despite being rookies, you just can't compare what they get with what Wonyoung or Yujin deserve cause unlike the rest they already have a considerable seniority and stable brand name in the industry, unfair it would be if Starship was crazy enough to make them start again from zero instead of taking advantage of it so let's not act like IVE is getting a post I.O.I groups kind of treatment were people knew of Kim Sejeong, Jung Chaeyeon and Kang Mina but never ever heard of their groups cause that's very much not the case.

Why do you feel bad for the girls? They are not even one year old as a group and are already experiencing a huge success 99% of idols in the industry can only dream about. They perform a lot, got three succeful releases within a short period in time, get brand deals, photoshoots in major magazines, collabs with artists like Lany. Their album sales are impressive as well. The agency invests a lot in them, both in terms of money and attention.

New fans may not know Wonyoung & Yujin got many connections since IZ*ONE. eg. Miu Miu selected Wonyoung as their Brand Presenter in Oct 2020, Yujin became MC of Steel Troops 2 because of PD saw Yujin since IZ*ONE online concert in 2020, etc. About CF. It's not only Starship's decision. It's their customer who requires what member they want for their CF-that is why Wonyoung gets many jobs. Starship is pretending IZ*ONE is useless to their artist. In fact, Wonyoung & Yujin got many jobs because of the name of IZ*ONE since pre-debut.

It's not Wonyoung's fault at all. I've always loved her and never understood the hate she's been getting. Obviously, the people who accuse her of every little thing don't have much knowledge about K-pop and the way it works. And there have been times when each member has stood out before. Even Rei the foreign member of the group was seen wearing all blue in one of their Love Dive performance. As long as the members are happy, there shouldn't be a problem. What would be a problem is if they're limiting the opportunities of the other members in favor of Wonyoung, which doesn't seem to be the case if they're performing on Wonyoung's solo appearances. Unfortunately Starship treats some of their other artists like hot garbage and they need to be held accountable for that but none of it's Wonyoung's fault.

Compared to previous debuted groups where they had survival show contestants, I always felt like IVE was the most balanced out of all of them. Even in predebut, the other less-known members quickly gained a fanbase of their own - however small it was.
They are all talented and charismatic and each girl has her own charm. As time goes on you see how all of them gain more confidence and start to blossom. The agency did a really great job with this group.

I think the sole reason ive was created in the first place, was for idol wonyoung to continue being on stage and support her by making her shine even more, relatively speaking. Like in comparison with ive's current members, she stands out most certainly. Unlike in izone who had some stunning individuals. Also the group is there, cause She can't go solo after all. Yujin still have some fans from izone days who carry her till now, while getting crumbs of things past wonyoung (she can't do everything after all, and they already overworking her) Also being the center of many controversies, definitely raised her fam. People dig scandals after all. Kardashian paved that route.

And the group was already planned. If u didnt know, PD48 was a survival show to gain popularity for the trainees Starship sent them and they were in a temporary group in order to gain stability and join their permanent group. Both, Wonyoung and Yujin. The same with all the izone members. For them to get fame before their permanent projects.

It makes sense that brands would want to hire Wonyoung before they ask for the other IVE members. outfits can be blamed to the company since the company board are the ones choosing the styling that stylists presents to them, but endorsements are another thing, usually the brands and magazines are the ones who pick the member they want to endorse their brand or appear in a magazine. it has been like half a year since they debuted so judging how they are treated when it comes to solo gigs and endorsements this early to their career would of course seem unfair because obviously wonyoung and yujin are more known as they have been introduced to the public 4 years ago, maybe by their 2nd year of activity people would see if there is indeed a mismanagement of the other members or not since they’d definitely be much known by then. (but we also have to take note that there are times where starship does overwork their artists, that’s what we should really be worried about)

IVE is definitely by far the most privileged now in Starship because like any other company that are money hungry, they will always TREAT the person/group who make them alot of money nice cause that money they make keeps the company afloat. That's how business works in the industry and y'all have to accept the harsh reality of it. Starship won't treat your favs any shit than Wonyoung and Yujin unless they make more money than those two. Cause in the end of the day if IVE ever go down the rock they can always just throw them away and use the money that IVE and the other groups in the company made to debut another group to be another money maker for them.
I don't think the special treatment from the stylists allegations are exaggerated, they're not. She does get better outfits, that one stage did look like her solo stage, and the one where she was the only one fully dressed in hot pink too, and some others. The numerous solo promotions make sense though, she's objectively more famous tham most her band members, and she's extremely pretty. I don't think her solo promotions should be an issue, they're not interfering with the groups promotions & schedules so it's fine. People should stop being so jealous of her success & focus on real problems.

Wonyoung and Yujin where pushed more to the public eye during "ELEVEN" but with "Love Dive" everyone is basically equal. To be honest it was smart move from Starship part to poromote IVE more with Wonyoung and Yujin beucse they are huge and company like Startship does not have power to make every of their group members into instant super stars. And yes, Wonyoung has a lot of solo promotions, but she was huge before IVE and she's not a rookie anymore meanwhile other group members (outside of Yujin) are rookies and rookies don't get a lot of solo promotions.

It’s maybe a hard pill for some to swallow, but kpop is a business and Starship has the responsibility to make the group as profitable as possible. In the end, it’s the best for EVERYONE in the group if they’re popular. Even if 1 member is being pushed to be more popular (if it's fair, is another question).
It’s normal that 1 member is being pushed, because that member lures people to the group. And, as you can see with other groups (think: Jennie Blackpink, Karina Aespa and a good example of mismanagement, is Suzy in Miss A). A lot of people are drawn in because of 1 member and like the group, but then will learn more about the group and sometimes have another bias or be even more popular at the end (like how Lisa is now more popular in general).
Without WO or YU, the group wouldn’t be as popular. And, at the end the other members will profit from that also. Because, the more people like the group, the more money they shall earn and the company will give attention to them.
YES, company’s are somethings really misbehaving to other members. But i do think Starship is doing a decent job compared to other company’s. Don’t forget, that all the members from IVE are employees for Starship and being an idol is the job they have. And i personally think al the members shine in their own way. I was also drawn in because of the hate of WO and then looked in to IVE more because of it.
PS: I KNOW they’re a lot of BAD company’s who are treating idols awfully. Yes, it is sometimes bad for a company to focus all of its focus on one person. But, maybe more attention should be paid to the real problems that a lot of company's has; as such as the physical violence, extreme standards, long days, extreme dieting, and very inhumane things that other company's do. Why do you feel bad for the girls? They are not even one year old as a group and are already experiencing a huge success 99% of idols in the industry can only dream about. They perform a lot, got three succeful releases within a short period in time, get brand deals, photoshoots in major magazines, collabs with artists like Lany. Their album sales are impressive as well. The agency invests a lot in them, both in terms of money and attention.

Wonyoung was the first member i knew since all the drama of people talking about her in a negative light. However once I really got into the group my bias is Liz! I fell in love with her the moment i saw her part in Eleven's MV and her cute ass dimple as she smiled at the camera.
New fans may not know Wonyoung & Yujin got many connections since IZ*ONE. eg. Miu Miu selected Wonyoung as their Brand Presenter in Oct 2020, Yujin became MC of Steel Troops 2 because of PD saw Yujin since IZ*ONE online concert in 2020, etc.
About CF. It's not only Starship's decision. It's their customer who requires what member they want for their CF-that is why Wonyoung gets many jobs.

It's not Wonyoung's fault at all. I've always loved her and never understood the hate she's been getting. As long as the members are happy, there shouldn't be a problem. What would be a problem is if they're limiting the opportunities of the other members in favor of Wonyoung, which doesn't seem to be the case if they're performing on Wonyoung's solo appearances.

Compared to previous debuted groups where they had survival show contestants, I always felt like IVE was the most balanced out of all of them. Even in predebut, the other less-known members quickly gained a fanbase of their own - however small it was.
They are all talented and charismatic and each girl has her own charm. As time goes on you see how all of them gain more confidence and start to blossom. The agency did a really great job with this group.

outfits can be blamed to the company since the company board are the ones choosing the styling that stylists presents to them, but endorsements are another thing, usually the brands and magazines are the ones who pick the member they want to endorse their brand or appear in a magazine.
it has been like half a year since they debuted so judging how they are treated when it comes to solo gigs and endorsements this early to their career would of course seem unfair because obviously wonyoung and yujin are more known as they have been introduced to the public 4 years ago, maybe by their 2nd year of activity people would see if there is indeed a mismanagement of the other members or not since they’d definitely be much known by then. Bangchan cried since they made a promise and hope she enjoyed the concert in heaven. On Hiwa’s farewell ceremony, they played Blueprint which is her fave skz song. Rip our angel Hiwa :))) we would love to see this news in memory of her lifestory in gaining strength as kpop fan during her treatment for a rare disease :) thanks!
IVE is definitely by far the most privileged now in Starship because like any other company that are money hungry, they will always TREAT the person/group who make them alot of money nice cause that money they make keeps the company afloat. That's how business works in the industry and y'all have to accept the harsh reality of it. Starship won't treat your favs any shit than Wonyoung and Yujin unless they make more money than those two. Cause in the end of the day if IVE ever go down the rock they can always just throw them away and use the money that IVE and the other groups in the company made to debut another group to be another money maker for them.

I don't think the special treatment from the stylists allegations are exaggerated, they're not. She does get better outfits, that one stage did look like her solo stage, and the one where she was the only one fully dressed in hot pink too, and some others.
The numerous solo promotions make sense though, she's objectively more famous tham most her band members, and she's extremely pretty. I don't think her solo promotions should be an issue, they're not interfering with the groups promotions & schedules so it's fine. People should stop being so jealous of her success & focus on real problems.

The question is, what happened?? Why did she become so famous compared to before? Like, before she was just one of the 3467862 idols out there, but NOW she's top tier!!
