How to Fix Logitech G29 / G920 Brake Issue in iRacing

- In this short video, I show you how to fix the braking calibration issue a lot of people are experiencing while using the Logitech G29 and Logitech G920 pedals with iRacing.
If you are having problems with your brakes in iRacing, this video might be the answer you are looking for. This video will help you fix the issue where iRacing does not remember your break calibration of your Logitech G29 or Logitech G920 pedals after a system reboot, meaning that you have to re-calibrate all the pedals each time you turn on your PC and before every race. 3 years later and you safe my pedals, my braking was sliding the car over the place…. The file change of place but was perfect…. Thank A LOT

for logitech it is inverted, so calibmax and calibcenter will be 255 and calibmin 0, for you to limit your brake you must touch the calibmin, as the example below.(using 40% of the brake on This example)

this happens on all brands, not only on the g29. this problem also continues to haunt me, but I’ve gotten used to doing the calibration everytime i join a race, I think is a iracing calibration problem idk, some people say to slam the brakes before entering the track works for them

I have a problem that IRacing never even registers full brake pedal throw. I depress it and it already shows full throttle at 85% depression.
Its same for all cars. G29 pedals
joyCalib.yaml is a text file that could be edited directly. If you have a copy of a problematic file it should be possible to figure out what needs to be edited directly.
Hi David do yourself a favour hang test your brake with the gamma set at 1.8 it will transform your trail braking accuracy. Just try it out and let me know how you go
Hiya, thanks for the advice, actually I run the F3 and Skippy at 1.6 but for the big old BMW I prefer 0. Ordered the Fanatec CSL Elite LC pedals so looking forward to giving them a go.

Hi David, I have a technical question, I installed the G920 and the pedals go completely the opposite. That is, they work 100% all the time and when I push them, the gas drops and the brake unblocks. How to reverse it, please?
I just bought a G920 and I'm experiencing the same issue.
How do you like the G29? Are you thinking of ever upgrading to direct drive or something like a Clubsport?
I had the opposite problem with my G29. Halfway through one race I realised the brake was only going to 50% even when I pushed it to the stop.
Great video. I'm having a similar issue, but it's kind of the opposite actually of what you're having, my brake pedal works fine for a while, but when I switch sessions or reboot, it starts to register a lower input, like when I brake around 80% it registers only 50% or so. Do you think this fix could work in my case as well?
i can confirm that this also happens with the G27, however i am using a load cell modification from Ricmotech. My quick fix to this problem is at the beginning of my first lap after sim reboot i push the brake pedal as hard as i can and that readjusts the calibration.
PS.: i drive with the brake setup curve adjuster at 1.65, and while i was digging through youtube before arriving to this video, it was mentioned that for those who are using pressure cells they should put the curve adjuster setting at 0. (maybe this solves my calibration problem in the future, i don't know. have to test).
On a different subject, i find that my throttle pedal "throw" is too short, in other words i can't find that sweet spot of having it below 50 percent without being too abrupt. Any solutions to this? Or is it simply "upgrade to a better set"? thank you
anyway to setup a max force on the brake at 65% when using vjoy logitech aint registering the wheel when vjoy is active and cant do it in iracing since there im trying to make the 65% max pressure at 80% in iracing so i dont lock up as easily

I’m having a problem where my force feedback and driving was weird (which it still is) but the main thing is when I hit a wall or crash I don’t get any feeling from it my wheel just stays straight and doesn’t move? Any help
I'm getting "conflicting controls" when I calibrate pedals
Im having a problem with my G29 on iRacing. I started playing like 2 weeks ago, and everything worked perfectly.. steering and pedals and gearbox were calibrated perfectly. I logged in today and the game wasnt recognizing my steering.. i removed all the cables from the steering wheel, and still no difference in the game. Very wierd.... any solutions or suggestions?
i just purchased the g29 and use to have the g27 but right away noticed that the brake pedal doesn't go all the way down like in the g27. Is this something new with the g29?

Hi David, do you know if we are able to do this to the clutch pedal, as in press 50% but be 100% in game?
Never had that problem but my fix will fix all pedals and not just brake.
MATE what about Nascar heat 4 - my problem on this is that the G29 Brake is on full all the way and wont budge - any tips ? Ian

From Playing F1 2019 I have had my G29 set to 360 degrees rotation, I notice your using 900 degrees the normal setting should i be using that or does it make a difference once calibrated i would be interested on what you find.
I would say yes, I had my steering set to 270 on F1 2019, 450 on ACC but on iracing I have it on full to 900.

You pick the CAR that has the problem? I thought it was the pedals that have the problem? So if you owanted this to stick for the entire game you'd have to do this with EVERY SINGLE CAR!?>!??
