- We built 3 sets of twin-size bunk beds to make "rooms" within a room so each boy could have privacy and a personal space, but still be in one room.

This was the first video of Andrea that I watched. Now that she just passed away and knowing that they were so close to have that sixth baby boy it feels really bittersweet.
May Andrea and baby Cyrus Rest In Peace.
Cookie Monster I’m rewatching the video and bawling thinking about what could have been . This seems so unfair😢
This was the first video i watched to 😥
Cookie Monster sorry idon’t know if I misunderstood but was she pregnant when she died ?
@@beerwine5765 She actually miscarried and delivered a 14 week old baby boy a couple days before she died.
Beer & Wine yes. 14 weeks I think
if you are reading this comment now, please don't be snarky or mean spirted. Andrea passed away yesterday. She was pregnant with their 10th child and began not feeling well. Doctors found cancer cells on her liver and gallbladder. She miscarried the baby and died within 36 hours of that. Prayers and good thoughts with this family, they have a tough road ahead.
jamey d awwwwwwwwww no!
Why people write horrible and mean stuff I will never understand, this lady is somebody we can learn from, I watch all her videos, god sent her to us,we woman need to emulate the type of mother ,wife she is,so talented, smart ...god bless her!
I am so sorry to hear that! This is my first time seeing one of her videos. Such excellent creative ideas! I am grateful she shared this wonderful part of herself with the world
Pardon me but she died because of cancer or because or the miscarriage?
Someone else mention her in a video I was watching and I came to watch her channel. People talk so much positive things about her. I wish I knew about her channel before .
Whaaat? Are you serious!? I just watched this video and thinking how cute bedroom and boys (and girls) are so lucky they have great parents and wonderful home. And now I red comments 🙁 omg I'm so sorry for their lost. Hope childrends dad is strong man and could take care of children. God please bless this family. I pray for you 💗 I'm from Finland (small country north Europe) so english isn't my native language, hope you understand 🇫🇮
Watching this after Andreas passing hearing her talk about a sixth boy now knowing that the little one they lost was a boy is unbearably sad. Such a loving Mother. Praying for her beautiful family💐
@Shay Batty
Think how much she is enjoying caring for that little boy right now. 😇
I love how you got everyone to fit but still have their own private areas and still be able to express them self
It was such a fun time when we were working on this room. Each of the boys got a turn to go shopping and pick out paint, bedding, etc. They were all so excited for their new room!
Andrea Mills ....is it hard for them to paint in there? I couldn't tell if they could sit fully upright or not. love the chalkboard paint idea.

Mariah Stanford I
Mariah Stanford yea
people are over thinking everything. she doing her best to give the boys their own space. i mean she said it was only a 2 bedroom house, and maybe she can’t afford a bigger home, but she put in the time and effort to give the boys as much personal space as possible. i once had to share a room with my siblings and our room wasn’t this cool but i was still happy. idk. i just think people need to lay off
Leilani Barajas true I agree with you
But if you can’t afford a bigger home maybe you shouldn’t have that many kids.
VicGames Vt if she cares that much about keeping her home I’m not understanding why they just don’t add another room/bigger room to the house. As much as it’s nice that the kids get to spend a lot of time together, they’re going to need a space of their own, bigger than 7 by 4 feet.
@VicGames Vt and so what? My grandma bought a big ass house to accommodate all her kids and they were all gone by 21 the latest. Now it's just her and my little sister occasionally it's too much for her to clean and she moved so much to accommodate every new child then grandchild that this house doesnt have all that much sentimental value.
My family had a 2bd 1ba and all three of my siblings including me had to share one room. 💁 it was fun and we just moved to having our own rooms. Took 18 years but Im grateful
This is the video I found your family! The news I heard today absolutely devastated me. I have been so uplifted by Andrea and will raise my future family with things I have learnt from you. I'm praying for you guys. I know this is going to be difficult but Andrea is in a better place now 😭
What happened??? Who’s andrea
Melissa Garcia Andrea is this lady in the video. She suddenly got sick, miscarried a baby and then passed away. Her family, friends and fans are devastated
Megan Danielle this is how I found the channel also. They are in for a rough road for a while. Poor kids.
This was the first video I remembered watching of Andrea’s, too!!
GIRL! I'M trying to fit 3 boys in a small room and 3 girls in the other and I'm like this is crazy! Lol. What kinda super hero lady are you?!?!
Megan Greene she passed away
@@Thesocoolwilliamsfamily
Such sad news. I hope she rests in peace.
This reminds me of a Sims small house challenge.
HAHAHAHAHAHA DEAD
i can't hahahhahhaha
Lmao
YES! bahahahaaa! I'm going to go play Sims.
Jan CW 😂😂😂😂😂
When they are older I have a feeling this won't go as well... 😂
The boys are 16, 14, 12, 10 and 5.
Andrea Mills do the 16 , 14 , and even 12 year olds have enough leg space?
The bunks are the length of a king bed. (They fit XL twin mattresses.)
You can fit 6 grown adults in here.
Andrea Mills ok now I'm impressed! Slay with the mamma diys!
I really love the color-coding, I bet it helps to prevent the boys from fighting over who owns what.
This is the very first video I ever watched of Andrea's. So thankful for the random RUclips recommendation that lead me to this channel. For 3 years Andrea has been such a blessing to me and my motherhood journey. She was such a wise, loving, gentle, and caring person. Such a loving wife and mother. She worked so hard to make every day, every event, every birthday, and every holiday making it special for everyone. I hope that all the kids can treasure these videos in years to come and see how much love their mother poured out on them. God bless you Mills family! You are in my prayers.
She helped me so much too and i miss her x also found her through this video x
This was the first video I saw of hers too. I sure miss her.
Holy moly this room looks like so much fun! I love how you let the boys pick out their own designs for their beds. It makes it seem as if they sleep in a whole seperate room from everyone else! Love that feel of privacy, while still being able to chat late at night with your brothers.
Now that they're getting older it's a lot quieter at night, but when they were younger it was like a crazy slumber party ever single night! :)
Sounds fun. :)
You show paint the room white for it to be brighter and it will make the colors pop more
Dania SM why isn't a good color to have on your walls with those many kids so I think the blue is perfect I have a son and his room is blue white wall seem to get extra dirty
Watching this after she passed hurts so bad, she was like a second mom. I suffer a lot with anxiety and she made me feel safe, she was an amazing mother and will be an even better Angel.
Theyre gonna hate it when theyre teenagers. They wont have enough privacy and the colours will become childish. But for while theyre young, i think you did a good job
Our boys are 16, 14, 12, 10 and 5. _Shockingly,_ they really love us in spite of their "childish" bedroom. We really love them, too. I don't know what we'd do without them.
Andrea Mills i didnt mean to offend, if theyre happy then thats good. Just my personal opinion.
We only had 4 children, all sons, and I wish we'd thought of something like this, it is fantastic. I wish my parents had thought of something like this...4 girls, 4 boys...we had traditional bunk beds back then (I'm in my 60's and the oldest of us all) but I did color code my sons' toothbrushes, cups, some other things, let them give me their favorite colors for the older two, and assigned the younger two their colors per what I could find...it works! They are grown now, they all seem to like the same color..but they have their own homes, so that's OK. Blessings! OH and great job!!!
3 of the 5 boys are teenagers! There just fine🙂
Mia Cara Xx I’m a teen girl, and I want those beds 😂
reminds me of a tour bus celebrities go in
ikr
Yeah
I've been in one and it is like this 😂 although much smaller and only a small bed lol
ikr 😂
Victoreeuh 😁
I bet she will have 6 well raised, loving, appreciative, goal oriented men... and not self entitled ass kids that think the world owes them something. My dad grew up with 6 siblings and he wished he had something awesome like this. Great job lady! I'm over here stressed out with 2 kids in a small bedroom but you have given me inspiration. Thank you and don't mind the negative comments.
This is the 1st video I ever watched of Andrea's. And it's so sad that baby Cyrus never made it to his bed.
J Khan
He's in Heaven being cared for by his mom. Picture that. 😇
what happened to the baby cyrus?
sabrinaa Andrea sadly got ill and passed away, and baby Cryrus passed as well.
I remember watching this when she uploaded it. WE MISS YOU ANDREA ❤
I love how Thomas has his own bottle of chocolate syrup, I wish my grandparents would allow that.
But looking at the outside the beds/rooms seem small. But on the inside they seem like way more.
It's like those tiny house shows where they are tiny on the outside but look cozy on the inside
LOVELY PANDA QUEEN Oh man, my mom would NOT approve.
everybody is throwing shade but i think this is cool. their spaces are totally customized, theyre cozy, and personal. even though I have a king sized bed, i would love to live there
Same
yah thats nice of you to say . To be honest im a little jealous.
same
ikr
Hayes Riviere I have a normal room and a sleepover room with two beds (bunkbed) and I like your idea of the room in a room
Reminded me of capsule hotel. I think this bedroom is amazing!
Suzy 20 ya ikr!
Oh my...hearing Andrea talking about the extra bunk bed would be for another boy if they ever had one was so terribly sad to me. It really jerked my heart strings knowing that when she left us, she was CARRYING that 6th son who would have been such a joy to Andrea and to the whole family. After the 3 girls in a row. The whole situation is sooo sad, even though Tom is doing an excellent job and the children are flourishing and seem happy. But there are some moments, like the bunk bed comment and also on Christmas with precious Baby Hannah looking at Andrea's pictures and saying Mama. I think about ALL those type of things that Tom hears or observes on a daily basis, and poor guy....How does he DO it??? Yes, they are still a beautiful family, a remarkable family, without Andrea....but that family will NEVER be the same. What a shame. I pray for Tom and each one of those precious children every night. Miss you Andrea 💔
I kinda want a bed like that 😂
me too
i like being in cozy little spaces
yay me to l will do crazy things in their. with my little space
me too
Me too
Same! 😂😂😂
I love the individuality and how organized it is for so many boys in 1 space
Watching this and hearing there was room for one more boy makes me think of precious Cyrus Grant Mills. He would have been the 6th. son.God bless his soul.Prayers continue for you Tom and family and all who loved Andrea.🙏❣️
This is how I discovered your channel years ago. So glad I did. Andrea was such a great example to many of us. Prayers to Tom and family ❤️
This video truly makes me happy because most kids on RUclips own these HUGE rooms and still aren't grateful. I'm so happy to see these kids enjoying and appreciating what they have
Jade McMillion agreed I like the room I like small spaces
Jade McMillion I don't like my room because it's messy. I want this though, lol
rabbit54446 AJ then clean it???
I sleep in the same room as my brother. I've been sleeping in a bunk bed for around 10 years. We only have enough room for 3 drawers and a closet. Then we have no room.
Jade McMillion yeah
I have mixed feeling about this, its creative BUT what happens when they get older and they want their own room and won't fit into those "beds" not hating just wondering what your plans are
I think they're normal size beds so they'd probably still fit in there. And I'd honestly love to have a room like this!
@kitten they are twin bed and that's pretty small especially since her oldest is 6 feet. Like I'm 5,11 and my feet hang off my queen bed.
They're twin size. All of my siblings and I slept in that size until we move out. My tallest brother is 6'3" and he has no complaints!
I built these beds to be convertible, the bottom shelf comes out and an extra long twin mattress fits in, but even without it it's fine. I was 6'2 in 10th grade and slept on a regular twin mattress just fine, all the way until I moved out.
+Tom Mills you sir are a genius
Came back to this video as it’s the one that made me start watching the channel. Andrea, you are missed by so many. Though I have very different views and lifestyle to this family, you really drew me in and I appreciated everything you did for your viewers, your family (especially the kiddos), and your beliefs. You are truly one of a kind ❤
I have a whole bed and loft to myself and to be completely honest it feels like I have too much room. Even though that sounds so spoiled I’ve basically been an only child since my sister is like ten years older than me. It gets pretty lonely and I want something cozy.
you could make your loft into like a fort and put your stuff inside it and sleep there! Don't worry, everyone gets lonely!
I don't have the slightest clue why there are so many haters here!? If you don't like it then go watch a different video lol it's simple! This is a BRILLIANT IDEA! I wanted to be a critic too at first bc I didnt think it was 'right' jamming that many kids in one room. But if you actually watch the ENTIRE video and LISTEN with your EARS and not with your MOUTH, you will note that she not only answers every question, but goes into explicit detail in each of the comments elaborating upon this incredible room design concept. Ive personally never seen anyone accomplish such an OUTSTANDING job at engineering a private personalized space for their children on a minimalist budget and with little to no expenses. Her videos are to help educate others that may also have the same structural limitations and a large family. That's what youtube is for most of the time. To HELP eachother. We need to UPLIFT eachother and SUPPORT one another! 😄😄 @Andrea Mills your hubby and you did a PHENOMENAL JOB!
P.s. I would LOVE to know how y'all built the Lego ceilings!? They are just too cool for words!
We used thin MDF to cut the squares and thicker MDF to cut the circles. I painted everything and then Tom glued to circles to the squares and screwed them to the ceiling. Then I touched up the paint to cover up the screws. They were very simple to make.
Sarah Sunshine preach Sarah preach
Sarah Sunshine Same with me! I was like HOW are they shoving kids in a cubby. Once I saw it I thought it was an amazing idea and kinda wished I had a space like that >o
I think it's awesome and would love to do something like this, but it wouldn't be legal in my town. Bedrooms are required to be 50+ sq ft per person (where I live). The room would have to be a little bigger to have 5 or 6 kids in it (probably just about enough for 4, though).
Can people stop hating they have a different form of spacing and very cool ways to deal with the space if u dont like it then click off
Samunnathi Samunnathi what happens when they grow up and want their own space and stuff. If you have 5 boys, what happens when someone wants a computer or something that requires their own space
Sizzle lol correct you is
they adapt…
Sizzle they can get a laptop
+Sizzle They have ipads and things already... Who even uses big desktop computers nowadays anyway?
I am still re-watching these video’s....still so so sad Andrea will no longer be with us. Miss you Andrea💕💕💕💕
It’s so great that now that Andrea is gone, her kids have these videos to show how much she cared and thought of them when it came to organizing the house and giving them their own space within a smaller space.
Every one is Giving negative feed back but i think for her to have a small house with all boys she did her best compare to some moms that dont do shit. She try her. Best on a buget making her kids feel good and feel like they have there own room. And i like the fact that she did that and made the room. Fun even if its small. And let them pick thier own decor in side there beds. And i like the fact. That this boys are gonna spend time with each other. And dont have to much toys. Like kids now a days have ps4 xbox one and wat i see is a simple. Room yes true small but homie like she said. But if u look very good. They not that small. Looks like twin size matters in there. She took a small space and made a great room. Small simple. But great idea
Let me clear up the most common questions on this video.
The beds are the size of half a king sized bed. I'm 15, am 5 foot 10, and I can sit up and lay down just fine. None of us don't want to be together, and if we REALLY need to be alone, the curtains have always been sufficient for privacy. Our room is not that dark, it just looks that way on the video. The audio Bible is great. It's a never ending bedtime story. All of us kids are happy living in this room.
but you don't have that much space to store clothing...
☆Imperials☆
We have more than enough.
Thomas Mills this is so cool I wish I lived there tbh
It's so cool! I would honestly love to have a room like that! What's it like to have that many brothers? I only have two older brothers and two sisters so I don't know what it'd be like to have only brothers. lol
Thomas Mills do you guys ever have friends over, where do they go?
my absolute favorite part of it is the individuality. if someone were to only watch the first minute or so they think its a super strict boring home with no self expression for the kids but when you started pulling back the curtains and showed each "room within a room" it really shows that you're committed to raising humble young men who have their own personalities as opposed to being all completely the same. its a small space but you worked with it and let your kids choose how they wanted to have their space be and its super cute.
You can really see how different the boys” personality are via the way that decorate there bed area
Capt JackPal yes wonderful parenting. Complementing each child on their unique abilities.
Ignore the Tube trolls...making one area work for 5 kids...and could have a friend over is amazing! That they get to personalize their space and have some privacy is beyond ingenious. Oh wow Tube trolls they have a lived in look with some paint chips. My guess is your home's are over ridden with things you have not used nor seen in a year or more. Leave this woman alone for providing for her kids and doing it with flair. In the future if the kids taste change the color scheme will grow with them. Good gravy.
Yes... I have one apostrophe too many...*homes not home's for the Word Nazis.
chill out dude this comment section. yeah this one right here on every single damn video is for opinions and discussion. if you don't like the basic things youtube has provided us with to interact with each other, leave.

When I was little I loved doing little houses for me, so this is basically my dream when I was 8. Love it.
:)
This was my first Mills family video ever, and now I've made a number of friends that I never would know without having seen it. Some, including the family, I've had the privelege of meeting in person...and some are on the other side of the world. It amazes me how people can be an encouragement, support, etc. via technology and the internet. I pray that many, many more will be blessed through the sharing of this family's life and testimony.
I am finding this beautiful family after Andrea's passing. I find them all to be remarkable and so loving to each other. All the material wealth in the world would never have created such character and kindness as I have witnessed as I watch this treasure of their daily life. And their father is such an amazing and talented man. So much love went into the creation of these awesome beds and the creativity and organization throughout the house and in their chosen lifestyle is so evident. The individuality of each child was taken into careful consideration. I bet any visitor to the boy's room would envy that setup. Their mother left a lasting legacy of love through these wonderful videos, and Tom will do the same through his. May God comfort and bring peace to each one.
At 4:13 he keeps his own bottle of choalate hehehe 👍cool😃😁😀👍
Hershey yep!! that's so like I would do if I was aloud too
I live in the other side of the world, completely different mentality, & different life.. I saw this video almost one year ago, it was kinda difficult to understand your life, it is different, & I'm embarrassed to say that I was harshly judging you inside my head!! But I was curious to know you more, so I subscribed, and oh!! I wish you know how much you opened my mind, how you made me see the beauty & uniqueness of you & your family even if I have different views in life.. I can feel your warmth and love.. which made me believe in you and in whatever you want to do even if my choices in life are different. And today, I have more respect for people's choices in life thanks to you.
By the way, I never comment on videos but I saw few rude comments so I wanted to spread some love 💜
Thank you so much for sharing such a sentiment. It's truly encouraging to hear. If everyone could have such a generous spirit as you!
Such a sweet comment 💜
I love this idea! As a kid, I would always wished I could have my own little cubby to decorate and make my own instead of traditional room sharing
I’m sorry for your loss. She was so smart. This room is perfect. Everything a boy could need.
I personally don't like this idea with 5 kids in 1 room because I can barely live with my younger sister that I share a room with but this is a really cool room and I would recommend painting it a light color if it gets cramed 😊
For them they can always just close the curtain and put some headphones in and they have like there own room and privacy...like its not as good as having your own room but with a family of 9 you can't let everyone have there own room and this way they don't have to decide who has to share and who gets thee own
MorganTheRat 4 And some people on the other hand live on the street
I agree about the colour; the dark colour makes the room look smaller than it is. Although on the other hand some people like me sleep better when the room is really dark, so maybe it makes sense.
Would have loved something like this as a little kid
My very first video I saw of this family
How creative - way to work with what you have and not overextend yourselves "keeping up with the jones". I think this space is pretty amazing and each child has privacy...thanks for sharing.
Do people realize that this is amazing? People in third counties have DIRT for floors and even they appreciate it. Gtfo. This is dope! I love it, and these kids are very lucky.
CJ Cook am in a third world country and I dont
Can we see the girls room?

Ikr same in mad I don't have one

That is so considerate as a parent and very important for the child to have their own private area. Especially when there are so many siblings. Good job!
Answers to FAQs. (Edited 1/9/19)
1. We have 5 sons: Thomas (17), Asher (15), Judah (13), Justus (11) and Solomon (6).
2. We have 4 daughters: Eden (8), Sophia (5), Claudia (3) and Hannah (8 months). The girls share a different room.
3. These bunks are 90" long. We have twin mattresses in them, but they can accommodate XL twins, which are the same length as kings.
4. We have no plans to change anything at this point. Seven years ago we didn't have plans to do this, either. We deal with problems as they arise. If this becomes a problem, we'll deal with it.
5. We do not accept public assistance - including public schooling. We support ourselves with a home-based computer repair business.
6. We have a net worth greater than 75% of people our age. We didn't get there by being people who buy the biggest and best of everything. We are content with what we have and we try to find creative solutions to our problems.
7. We like our house. We bought it as newlyweds and 3 of our babies were born in it. We live in small town that doesn't have many bigger, better houses. All of that means we would rather customize our own house then start looking for the "perfect" one elsewhere.
8. It's so sad to me how many people have the basic assumption that the value of a human life is dependent on their possessions. (ie. if you don't possess x, y or z you'd be better off never having been born.) It's no wonder there is so much sadness and hopelessness in the world. You are enough just the way you are. I hope that at least some of you will finally understand that your relationship to your struggles in life is best met with personal competence, rather than commercial acquirement. If you do, you will understand why we do what we do, even if you'd rather make different choices for yourself.
well said and may I say that is so creative and awesome ...I love it
Andrea Mills very good idea
Andrea Mills Omg My name is also Claudia!! 😍❤️👌🏻
Andrea Mills why does the title say 6?
she said she has 5 kids, but then she said that they had an extra for a guest or if they have another baby boy
Your children are just amazing! You really have raised them right . You should be very proud.
Watching this after she passed, knowing God blesses them with Cyrus changes this whole video for me.
😭😭😭😭 sweet andrea. In my desire to one day have a large family (just a family of three now), I have watched this video several times over the years. I hope all of your sweet family finds peace after your passing. Love to them all from SC
This is really amazing. I love how well planned out it is, and the respect you clearly show to your son's and their privacy and individuality. Who knew so much could be done with this space? Our family could benefit from your wisdom in so many ways...I feel like I can see your family functioning after watching this video. Thank you so much for sharing this, Andrea! I hope God blesses you with more children, because I am confident you are raising some pretty good ones!
I love your sarcasm towards hateful comments, it's so funny. I think the room's great by the way.
Thank you on both counts. :)
Nicole Vincent It's very hard to understand sarcasm on the Internet. Something said by people can sound playful in real life but can sound rude and hateful online. In my eyes, Andrea Mills is being extremely rude to her viewers. I disagree with anyone that continues to support her childish behavior.
Not Fake 24 Childish? Lmao. So, my parents sometimes sound sarcastic, but it doesn’t mean there childish. By that, some people get offended by your comment because your saying it’s childish, maybe some seven year old sometimes sounds sarcastic, and they may get sad from your comment. Also, keep your rude comments to yourself ok? Have a nice day now.
Hi my name is Michelle I'm from Trinidad and Tobago over here our kids share rooms to I understand your way of living I grew up with a saying home is never to small for family blessings from my family to yours amen
i remember watching this video a few years back. it got recommended to me again, so i though i would rewatch it. i really enjoyed this channel and Andrea’s content, it made me excited for the future and for when i become an adult and have a family of my own. now that i found out that she passed, i am so heartbroken. she has a special place in my heart and her spirit will always be with me ❤️
LOL I bet when Thomas says he uses the chocolate syrup for chocolate milk he just straight up drinks from the bottle 😂😂
I used to do that when I was like 10-11
I secretly buy frosting and just eat it in my room 😈😈😈
Exactly what I do💗💗💗
Yo I gots my own jar of peanut butter by the bed mmm with a cold glass of milk
And yeah I use the same spoon til jars finished 💪😎👊
Life is dank. be a meme. That’s what I was thinking
Bruh your super mom ur so smart
Rylee K lol 😂 saammmeee
aybraa ikr she is super smart
Rylee K woahh
You’re*
This is really helpful. I have 6 kids and live in a single wide with 3 room the size of a closet. So 3 kids per room I really wanted to find a way to give them personal space. Thank you.
I grew up with just an older brother in a huge house. We had our own bedrooms and play rooms. As an adult i look back and i would have loved to have a big family and three or four sisters to share a room with. Because at the end of the day family is all we have. These kids are very lucky to have such great parents and the parents are lucky too have them.
You guys must be great parents, to spend so much time on trying to give the kids their own individual space in such a small house. I hope they remember the time and care you invested in them when they get older.
I think this is a great room. Way to go! I see you are excellent parent and are super fun. I especially like the idea that they get their own room inside a room because everyone needs a bit of privacy sometimes. I love how they I can decorate their own parts and allow themselves to be free and be themselves. I imagine your a very fun mum. Well done!!!
I just found you guys and have been watching your "documentary" from the start after I saw your livestream 2 days ago.I am so sad already that I know she passed but wow she is amazing. Your family experienced so much love from her & she taught you all to love just the same. I think these memories she filmed are the most amazing gift to your Kids. RIP Andrea🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
I just love seeing her beautiful face. I will always watch old videos💕
Im starting to hate youtube. no matter who, no matter what,SOMEONE ALWAYS has to be an Ahole. I find this room to be super cool, you go momma! youre a crafty mom and im sure the kids loved that you made this for them!
Thanks for the encouragement, Steph Raye!
I don't care what the haters say I think this IS AWESOME and really creative I would love a little bunk like that
I think it's very nice. Not everyone is lucky enough to grow up with this own room, and these boys are going to be much more appreciative for what they have. Sometimes it's not practical for everyone to have their own room, but these boys still have their own little space and are being raised to be thankful.
Kelsey Davis yeah same I think it's quite cool
I went to Mexico and we built a house for a family (with 4 children) that didn’t even have a house. Sitting in buckets of water to stay cool! So if this is “abuse” you really don’t know what is..
I have 7 brothers , my dad / mom bought triple bunk beds . We lived in a 3 bedroom 2 bath home . My sister and I shared a room with the baby . It was comfortable.
Colour coded children, that's interesting, lol. I feel sad for your boys that they all have to share such a tiny room, but you're obviously good parents and trying your best for your kids and I think what you have done with the room is really awesome and impressive :)
OMG! Why is this comment not at the top. Appreciative, I like how you see the world. Unlike other people here talking about teenage stuff (I understand them I'm 15 and a boy! i need Privacy as well). If I'm in that scenario, I will appreciate that because my parents worked hard for that (while being poor). Salute to you my lady!
I like how you see it. Respect

+Serendipity861 oh I thought there was, oops. XD
This is SO cool!!! As a 17-year-old girl that has mostly had her own bedroom, I actually think this is really cool. Having a little space helps a person be really thankful for it! Boy, if you saw my bedroom right now... >.>' A crashing mess. I think you're my new favorite RUclipsr! Subscribed!
They are definitely going to grow up being very appreciative and thankful. All these people hating are just spoiled snobs. I've always had my own room, but I think this is awesome. Growing up like this will bring them closer and make them better people, and they still have their own cute little nook. They're not going to know anything different, so it's not a big deal.
Same!!!
Since this is an older video.
For anyone wondering about when the kids get older....
Thomas slept in these beds until he was 20 and he's over 6ft tall. He moved out at 20.
The other kids are 20, 18.5, 16, and 11.5 and these beds are still working great!
I had to go back to the beginning. This is the first video I ever watched of Andrea. Thank you Tom for continuing to allow us grandmas to see the children growing up.
It's a nice set up while they're young but as they get older I see problems with privacy and just being crammed in that small room. It would be good for awhile though while you save up for a bigger house that can accommodate that amount of people. Very creative though I like it.
Our boys are 15, 13, 12, 10 and 5.
My boys are 17, 12 and 11 and I don't have any complaints about them having to share a bedroom. Their room is about 18'x15' and they have a bunk bed for the younger boys and a queen bed for the older one. They might have a bit more space but they spend maybe an hour a day in their room, besides while sleeping. I love this idea!!!
This is an amazing thing that you did for your children. I have my own room that is about that size and this makes me realize that some people have to put lots of children in 1 room and you did this amazingly for you boys, they are lucky to have a mom like you. I give you so much praise for all of your hard work you put into this, keep being an amazing mom :). Btw I am only 16 but this is still amazing and my parents agree as well :)
I truly appreciate your positive comment!
Andrea Mills thank you so much for replying, keep doing what you are doing. You are an amazing mom!
Erby, it's strange that you think we should've chosen to have fewer children so that the remaining ones could have more privacy. I'm sure that Judah, Justus, Eden, Solomon, Sophia, Claudia and any future Mills children would vehemently disagree with you. For that matter, I'm sure if you asked our oldest two - Thomas and Asher - if they'd rather have their own rooms than a house full of siblings they'd think you're a sad person for even asking such a thing. If anyone is cruel, it's you who deems 6 children as better off dead than having to share a bedroom.
Talk about maximizing space. 👏🏽 you guys really made it work.
I love this idea! It's like those beds they have on trains in sleeper cars. Very creative and comfy.😊
nice use of space. personally I couldn't deal with feeling like I'm packed in like a sardine, but the idea is interesting.
They look like tour bus beds
Yessss
What a brilliant,inspirational bedroom!!
So much thought and work out into this ,so fun and cosy ,
I bet all the boys love it xx
💕I just met you and feel proud of you. God blessed you with a big family. He had a plan for you. Your husbands is in good hands. He’ll miss you but he has his hands full. You did a great job with your family. 🙏🏼

cassi mccarty who knows they could love it
cassi mccarty same
Same I thought they'd be depressed but then I was like, wow, that's genius.
cassi mccarty same it would be so fun it's like a den
Nice rooms! They remind me of Japanese capsule hotels. :)
You are a brilliant woman! :) I use to live in a small house like yours and I would have appreciated such amazing space management. Your boys are going to grow up as appreciative people and I love the ceilings!
BRILLIANT !!!!!!!!!!! Your kids will grow up to be well adjusted,Caring and Sharing Young Men.TFS. We all can Learn a lesson from you on Organizing in small spaces and being Creative. Good job Parents. Much LOVE from Georgia.
Love this concept, honestly the only thing I'd change would be the wall color--I once had my room a dark blue color, not too far off from the one in the video, and whenever we repainted to a lighter color, it made my room seem MUCH bigger! A beige or something would look nice, neutral, and make the room seem bigger. Still a fantastic vid!
I'm fourteen, and I'm the youngest of eleven siblings, no twins, none adopted! AND when I was five years old, I became an aunt! I now have eighteen nieces and nephews! It's like a party at our house everyday. It's so fun! And all of my siblings are amazing, incredible people. My mom is a superhero. Now there are only six people living in my house, so I have my own room. Having a big family is hard though because I don't even really know my oldest brother. He is thirty five, that is the ONLY downside of having a big family in MY opinion😃
Looney Lightning I’m the 3rd oldest of 8 kids so...
I'm the second youngest out of five and I am an aunt of 4.
Looney Lightning Wow :o i have one brother and that's it 😂
Looney Lightning I'm the youngest of 3, but I'm 12 and my brother is 27, one of my sisters is 20, and my other sisters are in their 30s. I don't really know my oldest sisters either, they never lived in my house because they aren't my mom's kids, so I barely see them. But I know that the older one has a son a few months older than me, so I've been an aunt my entire life😂 I also have a niece and nephew from my brother, and my niece is almost 2 and my nephew just turned 4 a few days ago
Im the youngest of 3 children.
The 2nd youngest is my bro
Then my sis
Im an Aunt
Missing listening to Andreas beautiful voice. There is no doubt she loved her family.
I can just feel the passion she brings into her videos. A wonderful woman.
This is the cutest thing ever especially the inside of the bunks!!!!!!!!

You keep saying "if God blesses us with another boy", but what if you are blessed with a girl? Do you have any ideas on how you might arrange that as all of your children grow older?(obviously I understand if/when you are blessed w/ a baby girl...it won't matter much during infancy, because I'm sure she'll be in a bassinet/etc right next to you & your husbands bed for some time...I'm just referring to that period when they all grow older/etc.) Have you thought much about that possibility, & planned out what type of changes/arrangements/etc that you and your husband may make?
Yeah what f they have twins????
The girls have their own bedroom, this is just the boys.
How many girls do they have?
+Anja Kruitbosch 3
She was talking about the boys room why would she bring up a girl ? She said if they have another baby it can stay there not that she didn't want a girl
Well done!!! I'm an interior designer and in my professional opinion, I think it's a clever design concept with good use of form and function.
Man those kids aren’t gonna know what to do with themselves when they move out! It’s gonna be like heaven for them lol. Good call on the curtains though... would be pretty awkward as they all went through puberty.... 😂😂😂
AHHHHHH
