As always Gary Moore gave all his genius... He was and even today he is one of the best guitar player... In the three better till the guitar exist and in any styles... RIP My Hero...🙏
A shame and a crime Gary hasn’t been inducted to the hall as of yet. No matter, in the people’s heart, we know and love what others can’t see or hear. Long live Gary Moore. Love this dream team lineup, thank you for this!
They also recorded a couple of albums together. One is simply called Greg Lake, the other has the equally imaginative moniker, Gary Moore & Greg Lake Live.
The reason the Garry Moore bits are so far away is because he didn't want his bit recorded so we sneaked the cameras up the back. Glad we didn't do as he asked 😉🤘
Now i understand why Greg Lake played bass on The Who s` "Good Looking Boy" and "Old Red Wine". Sadly he died some years later. Also Gary Moore, incredible. And Russ Ballard, from Argent and one of rock s best and most succesfull hit songwriters.
WOW!! Thanks for loading this. We just watched one of the best guitar heroes of all-time. Never even heard of this, so it must be rare. Will be watching it many Moore times.
That was so much fun, and for a great cause! Thank you! I saw a similar line-up at a Leukaemia Research Benefit in July '92, at Oxford Apollo. Ian Paice was the drummer; Gary Moore played a short set; Tony Ashton sang/played organ; Sam Brown sang/played piano (I believe her Mum had unfortunately died from leukaemia, and Sam dedicated a song to her); Gary Brooker performed Whiter Shade of Pale, and the same Ray Charles number (Nighttime is the Right Time); Bernie Marsden was guitarist. Gary Brooker was also at The Mick Ronson Memorial Show at Hammersmith two years after that, '94.
Gary sounds like - as it’s a one off - he’s kinda playing around, going off script. I love it! So many little things vs I’ve never heard before. He’s so freaking great he never misses! God, I miss him!
He very nearly didn't play ,after a few Guinness's and whisky chasers . He wasn't happy waiting so long to to go on stage, but glad he did. We weren't allowed to "officially" record it but sneaked the cameras up the back 👍
holy fuck!! greg lake is still a brilliant as ever bassist!!!! a proper bass player!!!!xxxx gary moore my idol....well rip big man you did it again on parisienne, had me in tears.... at nearly 52 years old will always love you garyxxx, very , very special guitar ist to me and so many others, love , rob from scotland, xxxx,ps jack son, your dad was the best guitarist this planet ever produced, you should be very very proud of him, gary was always there too support a really worthy cause.... and yet some folk label the big man, as a sour faced git????????...... NO WAY, THAT MAN HAS A HEART OF THE PUREST , SOLID GOLD......!PERIOD!XXX ROB, scotland,.x.
Ah well, Gary Moore (guitar), Roger Daltery (voc), Greg Lake (bass) doing to Hey Joe yet only 4,688 views. Ah well, at least I'm glad I found it. Better than stumbling on some Justin Bieber stuff I guess.
I've been youtubing Gary's early band 'Skid Row'. It's off-the-wall hard rock with the amazing Brush Shiels on bass and vocals. Check out 'An Awful Lot Of Woman'
Gary Moore was on fire this night. Does anyone know what amp and effects he was using ? His tone is incredible and his vibrato is insanely hypnotic. Looks like a fantastically fun night!!!!
58:10 Classic lick taken directly from Jeff Beck. Gary had a great ear for not only creating, but for borrowing great phrases from others. Gary's guitar tone on "Parisian Walkways" was heavenly!
Drummer Richard Desmond the same newsprint magnate?? Much maligned for his 'down marketry'? Well I never did....I assume he part bankrolled this venture. He's also a bit handy with the sticks
