- For this run I used the Hydrocraft mod in order to butcher and consume the zombies.

My buddy and I had a server where we retrofitted some apartments into luxurious bases for ourselves. He was enjoying my “Officers Lounge” populated by mannequins in juggernaut armor and other equipment, until he looked into the walk-in freezer that had a hidden door leading to a less than savory butchering operation. He had found my large basement entrance. Inside I had dragged in bodies and had been cleaving them apart and making mince meat thanks to a mod I had. He was horrified given I was our chef and was in charge of cleaning the local area of the bodies, and he hadn’t seen me using the dumpsters for them.

@@dragonfell5078 Honestly the fact my constantly bloody apron despite never wearing it into a fight should’ve been the first clue for him, but I think he thought I had a spare one covered in blood for the appearance. But nah, I just washed it before cooking.

Tbf, the issue there likely wasn't the food, but rather the laceration.

I think it's just a bug that needs patching, the wiki says it considered poisoness food type haha.
I thought so too at first but then remembered that cooking would probably denature the virus protein.

Honestly hearty Appetite is never a problem in single player so much veggies and meat in all the cafeterias, then you got fishing and farming and then the canned food I've never ran out given my record is 3 months of active gamplay cause I refuse to just sit in the house and survive

That's why it's good to change settings so only bites gets you infected. Otherwise, long runs are extremely unlikely.
4:35 Brett Fagan spotted! If you did not know which I assume you don’t, I was playing this game and got a random character named Brett Fagan. With blonde hair and a beard with a black shirt. Seance then it has become sort of an inside joke between me and my friends
This is like one of those environmental story telling things devs put in to make exploring more fun. I bet like two days later the main character of whatever story is being told stumbles across a house surrounded by piles of bones and other unused body parts. Then if they choose to venture inside they find a kitchen filled with odd meat and a trail of smelly “fallout” from the lethal case of food poisoning leading to another, less cut up, corpse in the bathroom.
Then you get to be the subject of a short video on some obscure lore youtube channel somewhere that spells it out for people without a third grade education.
This isn't the zombie apopcalyspe anymore, is the human apopcalyspe now.

Alot, averaged about 2 corpses a day i'd say and survived about 15 days so around 30+

How the tables have turned
Keith Taylor's book "This is the way the world ends: an oral history of the Zombie War" some workers get stranded on an oil rig out in the ocean and after consuming all of their rations resort to cannibalism. They found a way to turn human meat into soup and one day, a boat loaded full of both people shows up to the oil rig. They said that the mainland was getting too bad and they thought that the oil Rig would be a safer place with the ocean surrounding it and all. Anyways, the workers welcome them all and feed them the human soup, which the survivors had no idea at the time was. The workers, however, did plan to turn these new people into food as well and one night began to kill them all. Hearing how bad it was on the mainland, the workers decided they would be better off staying on the Rig for now.
I believe the Zombies followed the same rules as the Walking Dead so death at all equels zombification. The workers eventually were forced to eat the zombies they kept on the survivors boat (That's where they stored the bodies after the workers killed them all) out of desperation.
This challenge reminds me of that part of the book. And in fact, cooked zombie soup strangely tasted better than human soup. The workers theorized that the virus had something to do with the taste and the meat on the bodies aged.
If there are any questions, I'll answer them. It really was a good book and I am for the sake of my personal time at the moment of typing this am leaving out a bunch more details.
That adult magazine in the video just reminded me of a part of the book regarding the workers on the Oil Rig. One of the workers told interviewer Keith Taylor (He made himself the main character) that he was once looking at a adult magazine and saw this smoking hot lady in one of the pages. Not smoking hot because she was beautiful, but because that's what his brain instantly thought of as he looked at her in the book.
He looked at a pretty woman and thought of food before any sort of sexual idea is what I'm trying to say.
I actually think you didn't die because of food poisoning, when you gor that lasceration from the zombie, there's a 25% chance you got infected, and yeah, apparently that's what happened
