And this year we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bruce's debut album "Greetings from Asbury Park"! I"ll never forget that night when this beautiful piano came out of my stereo, the opening chords to "Growing Up" and I just froze for the whole song. Next day, bought album, now, 50 years later, over 40 concerts and I" going again to see them in MARCH!!!! It just gets better and better and better!!
I've been away for a while .... but glad I came back to this. Your reaction was great! Your smile ... and just the look on your face as you enjoyed this song was fantastic! And ... it would have been awesome if Bruce had brought you up on stage to dance in the dark.
That reaction was fiddle sticking awesome!!!!!! Getting a bit spicy aren’t we Jayy???????? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🥳🥳🥳🥳 Keep on keeping on my dear!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!!! 😎🍸
Whats so funny is people always make fun of Bruce for his dance moves but they fail to remember that A: This was the 80’s man, nobody cared, it was all about having fun etc. B: Bruce was and is known for his voice and guitar etc.. dude never claimed to be a good dance 😂😂😂 Always loved this video growing up, and the fact that a young Courtney Cox was noticed because of this video makes it all that much more better💯 her career launched after this video so hopefully she has thanked Bruce 😂😂😂 Also If you haven’t already, I recommend reacting to Brilliant Disguise by Bruce as well. The video is simple but so powerful. And a little trivia: Bruce is actually singing in the video, no lip syncing and he did it in one take💯🔥🔥
courtney said in an interview that she didn't know which way to dance up on the stage so she copied bruce's moves. so alfonzo got the ''carlton'' from bruce's dancing.
I have to tell you that for my 16th birthday, my best friend took me to see him at Widener University to see him. Philly radio stations had just started to play his music. He played for 4 hours straight. We all were sitting on the floor, and he was going around the audience, and he was singing and taking drinks. We were drinking beer. I have been him about 4 more concerts, and I have to be honest. None was as great as the one at the university. I have been to about 300 other concerts, and I still try to get to at least one a year now. I am certain that I started going to concerts after the one at the college. BTW, I am celebrating my 67 birthday this month.
Also, I have to add now that my husband will get me the most expensive tickets that also include premium dinners and other nice perks. When Bruno Mars started playing large venues, he spent over a thousand dollars. It included an Uber to take me to the restaurant at the Four Seasons 5 star restaurant, but decided to take the subway, and I was so proud of that since I have not used the subway in 30 years. It was so excellent to see Bruno play his first concert. He was so cute when watching him look around the concert and saying wow that is me on all the giant posters. My husband couldn't believe that taking the subway and seeing Bruno's face from the first big concert was so priceless.
Bruce used to be a little scruffy and when this video came out he cleaned up so good. I recorded this video from MTV and watched it over and over and my boyfriend would get jealous. I once went to one of his concerts and screamed so much I lost my voice.
My kids were preschool when this came out and was a big hit on MTV. "Mommy, your bideo is on!" And then they would flatten against the wall while I ran for the TV. :-)
MY JERSEY BOY!!!!! He’s a great storyteller ! One of the concerts ever too!!! He doesn’t just play the normal hour and a half to two hours. He will go on and on if the crowd wants it!
Bruce Springsteen had cleaned up from his scruffy look and was starting to wear nicer clothes around this time when he was dating & then married model turned actress, Julianne Phillips. The girl dancing with him on the video is actress Courtney Cox (Monica from the TV show "Friends").
When I think about this lady reaction artist......I think of crimson and clover......YEAH!!!!! da da..da da..da da ....my my such a sweet thing.....what a beautiful feeling....
I was in elementary school when this album came out and MTV had just became a thing, and I remember my older brother, who was in high school, complained that all the girls in his class loved this song but it was the only song by Springsteen they knew and they argued with him when he showed them the video for "Born in the USA" where he's wearing a leather jacket and a bandana and has a few days of beard growth and is playing a guitar and singing angrily about Vietnam Vets. He was really annoyed that they refused to accept it was the same guy and they told him this other song the other guy he showed them sang sucked. 🤣
No apologies! The man was and is fine! He started as a working-class guy and despite his success never lost that part of him. His kids had to earn their way in life, he and Patti didn't just give them everything. His youngest son became a firefighter in Jersey City in 2020. I recommend The River Wreck on the Highway The Rising My City of Ruins Up the Stairs And Soany others.

P. S.... I first saw Bruce at The Main Point when I was 15... I said: "What was that...?" Two years later when 'Born To Run' came out, I thought he was God...
Hey Jayy nice reaction.....except...when "We" like a song like this we like to crank it up! However at least on this reaction, your screams were nearly eardrum breaking. Please, watch this one back yourself and turn up the volume like you have loved this song for 30 years or however long it has been out, and check this out for yourself. I shoot guns, your first scream was in need of ear protection, no joke. Keep you the great work!!!!!
@@THEJAYYSHOW They were shooting the video. Courtney was one of three unknown young actresses chosen to be clustered at the front row edge one side of the stage. The plan was for Bruce to pull one of them up on stage to dance, BUT none of them knew who he was going to choose. Courtney's career took off after that. This song and this video were pretty effective commercially, highlighting as they did Springsteen's raw energy and appeal. Bruce is such an exciting performer and has written so many great songs that feel natural and that many people relate to. He has proven over the years his excellence as a musician, songwriter, lyricist, and showman. But you can't help but admit the man is positively yummy! Now, Jayy... you need to watch him do "Fire" next. The video with (rare) next to the title. Even though it's winter, better get some ice cubes out and be ready to turn on the AC or fan yourself, girl, 'cause it's gonna get hot! Or maybe make sure you have some sour cream on hand to go with all that spiciness! P.S.: How to put this delicately? Hmm. It may not be possible, but here goes... Bruce simply has the finest butt in rock. Oh, yass... he definitely hass! .
I might have been a tiny bit spicy but just a tiny lol😂
Spicy suits you well.
You didn't recognize the girl he pulled on stage? A very young Courtney Cox!
Your smooth girl!
First appearance by Courtney Cox in anything of note. And what a note, Bruce Springsteen. Pretty damn good.
Have been familiar with this video for years, never realized that was Courtney Cox 😂
Did you know that's Courtney Cox from "Friends"?
Love, love, love your reaction. Your eyes light up ... And your controled cooling off. So good.

Jayy I just love you and your reactions
He performed this a few years(?) ago in London and danced with his mother on stage.

The girl Bruce is dancing with is Courtney Cox.

courtney said in an interview that she didn't know which way to dance up on the stage so she copied bruce's moves. so alfonzo got the ''carlton'' from bruce's dancing.
I LOVE a masculine MAN!!! Nothing compares to a REAL MAN!!!
You've done Dancing now and Born to Run. If you've got a bit of Bruce-crush get on Tougher Than The Rest :)))
Courtney Cox credits being cast in this video (she was a teenage model) being her first big break.
Please react to Bruce's "Drive all Night & Should I Fall Behind Wait for Me"
🥵 spicy 🤣👍
😂
After Elvis there was Bruce!
Elvis who?
And he sold his entire song catalog for $500,000,000
P. S.... I first saw Bruce at The Main Point when I was 15... I said: "What was that...?" Two years later when 'Born To Run' came out, I thought he was God...
That’s Courtney Cox From Friends ! Before she was famous

This was most people's first introduction to Courteney Cox.
I'm sick of sitting around here, trying to write this book. I need a love reaction....even if we're just dancing in the dark. Hey Baby!!!!!
I'm 70 not 79!!
The same girl who played on friends
You are so darn cute. Good video and reaction
A young Courtney Cox

Please turn up the music sound to your voice volume, you almost blew my ears out with your screams, not cool.

It was all staged. That's Courtney Cox from "Friends". It wasn't random. 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴✌️
Oh wow
